Calling this a "food truck" is a bit of a misnomer: it's a small freestanding building with no indoor access for customers and a drive-thru that directs you around the building, one side for orders and the other side for pickups. I got a shrimp burrito, and it was AMAZING. Huge, packed with plenty of shrimp, and the sauce inside was actually spicy. So delicious. I'll be back.

My favorite Mexican food in Flagstaff! I've had nachos a few times and they are some of the best nachos I've ever had. I also had a taco sampler and they were fantastic, but I don't get avocado on my shrimp tacos like I've seen in pics - but outstanding anyways! I've been hitting them up twice a week!

On this Thank You Thursday, Tres Amigos deserves a big thank you for packing such a flavorful punch in a small food truck! Their street tacos and burritos are some of the tastiest around! The burritos are so big, you definitely get a work out while eating one, and The Mayor, is one of the best! Service is always friendly, and I love that you can place your order, and then go wait in your vehicle for the food to be brought to you. You'll find them in the parking lot of the strip mall where Fratelli Pizza is located on Fourth Street! They get really busy around lunch & dinner time, so we always try to hit them for a late lunch, or an earlier dinner!

Look for the red food truck along Route 66 in Flagstaff for some amazingly authentic and delicious Mexican food to go! We found the spot by accident one night when we left a restaurant that had too long of a wait, and decided to try it on a whim. We have been back twice since then and it has become one of our favorites in Flagstaff. We probably would've been here more because we're usually looking for a meal on Sunday and they are closed on Sundays. This is a permanent food truck with a smoker and a trailer attached. The building is bright red and near the road so it should be easy to spot. Drive-in and order at the front of the food truck facing the street. The menu is posted right by the window and the specials are taped to the window . After you order and pay, drive around to the back side, or the side not facing the road, to the pick up window. There isn't a spot to eat here so you might need to have a destination in mind or eat in your car like we do. Everything that we have ordered here we have loved. I have ordered the Barbacoa quesadilla twice and I think it's my favorite. This Barbacoa is so well marinated and cooked & tender that I could just eat it plain. On top of that, there's real cheese melted and dripping all over the meat and they serve a large portion - three large pieces of quesadilla. I haven't been able to finish this yet. I ordered guacamole (extra charge) and it was very worth it. Their guacamole is fresh and citrusy. We have also gotten the nachos which are very good, Tacos, and Carne Asada burrito. They have bottled sodas like Jarritos and Mexican Coke for drinks. They ask at the window if you would like medium or spicy salsa. The salsa is free. We usually get some of each. This is a spot I crave even when I am down in the valley and Phoenix. Everybody else on Yelp must agree because this place has mostly five star reviews.

    Crazy good birria tacos!!

Everything was delicious... but these birria tacos are incredible. Sooo so good! Our new go-to when we're in town.

The food was amazing I got the taco combo with one chicken and one carne asada taco. The red sauce had a little kick but had good flavor and the green sauce had hardly any kick but was very fresh tasting. My beans spilled on the way home but still very delicious. The man working the drive thru was kind and helped us out when we had questions. I would definitely go back!

Excelente! --- Excellent! Incredible tacos and wonderful service! I have a hard time making decisions, so I ordered everything! Well, not everything, but I did try the Carnitas, Al Pastor, Asada and Barbacoa. These tacos were as good as I get in Mexico. Give them a try!

    Nice menu!

My parents sometimes wonder why their good Taiwanese-American daughter likes tacos so much. Well, I spend a lot of time in Yuma, Arizona, minutes away from the US-Mexico border. Most of the time, I eat tacos only in Yuma because I'm often disappointed elsewhere. Not this time! First, the menu has a great selection of items for affordable prices. The guy at the window may have been a little skeptical about me ordering the hot salsa (very hot and really good, by the way) but was friendly and helpful. I ordered the asada, al pastor, and carnitas tacos--the al pastor was my favorite, but I enjoyed them all. Now bookmarking to go back!

Where can one find your truck?

It's on route 66 and Ponderosa Parkway next to China star super buffet. There is a car wash there and Culver's

We were a bit indecisive on what to order and he helped to give some good recommendations! And the food.. oh my goodness it was so good!! We ordered one of the platters that Guy Fieri tried when he came out here. It was loaded with flavor outside and inside of that bread they make. It was flavorful, creamy and savory, and the fresh onion and pickled onion added a really nice flavor to the whole dish. We also ordered a cheese enchilada and peach habanero street taco à la carte to try them out as well. Hands-down, one of my new favorite Mexican places. And we will definitely be coming back to try other items on their menu. They sang happy birthday and gave me a fried ice cream dessert that was so yummy, tasted like a churro ice cream in a fried mini tortilla drizzled with Carmel and chocolate. If you are ever in Flagstaff, come check it out! You won't regret it!

**July 2026: Sunday Night Visit**…read more My friend and I were in the mood for some Southwestern food so we picked Salsa Brava. The restaurant has a festive, cantina-style vibe, and we sat at a belly table with high-top chairs, which made the experience feel lively and fun. After purusing through the menu we ordered the Navajo Taco ($19.50) and the Stuffed Sopapilla ($19.50); both entrees were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in the "Return to Route 66" episode. The portions were huge -- honestly, we probably could have split just one dish because it was enough for both of us and still left us with leftovers for another meal. The two dishes were pretty similar overall, but if I had to choose, I'd probably go with the Stuffed Sopapilla. A sopapilla is a light, puffy, hollow fried bread, which I felt held the ingrediants better. Salsa Brava also felt like the kind of place that would be great for catching a game, especially since the World Cup was on during our visit. Overall, it was a solid experience, and one more Food Network-featured restaurant was checked mark off my bucketlist.

We were craving Mexican food and found this gem on Yelp! It had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we ate here! I had the chilaquiles with red sauce and chicken. The food was amazing! They give you a lot, which I couldn't finish, but I totally took the rest home and ate it! The red sauce had great flavor and not spicy at all. The chicken was seasoned well. My mom had the chimichanga with green chili and she loved it! She said the meat was not dry and the green chili was delicious. Our fave were the chips and salsa! We loved the salsa so much, we bought a pint to take with us on our trip. As for the restaurant, the atmosphere was very upbeat, colorful, and full of culture. The inside is a little small, but when we went about 11am on a Thursday, it wasn't busy at all. Although, I did hear this place gets packed. Parking appeared very limited as this place is located in a small plaza area. Despite this, this restaurant is totally worth a try! My mom and I plan on coming back when we visit again!

Insanely delicious and what a great portion size. We were a bit surprised to learn chips and salsa are an extra charge which is not like most Mexican restaurants. We ordered them anyway and they were fantastic. The chips are light and crispy ( I don't like thick chips) and the 2 salsas were divine. I especially like the red and could have bought a gallon of it. We thought our server was attentive and friendly and the food and drinks came out pretty quick. They have some very cool Day of the Dead style artwork on the walls which was fun to look at.

Rarely 5 stars..always room for improvement…read more That said...once you find this place it's a gem it's hidden in a marketplace with crappy signage and directions from Siri sucked. But, when we found it...parking is ample and the entry is loud and proud. Bright interior colors and lots of Mexican pastries and other items before the order desk. The menu is ample and service is friendly...they acknowledged the poor directions ‍ I had the rolled taco special which came with rice beans and a drink (the horchata is AMAZING!). My friend had a huge breakfast burrito. In small places like this a salsa bar usually is a huge indicator of good food for me. The salsa bar was beyond impressive. All made in house...and do NOT bypass the pickled carrots and jalapeños. OH MY The interior is huge and it is definite a local take out place. I will be back to try more!

The staff was very attentive and offered exceptional service. There is a cold bar with salsas and toppings in the seating area. My food was good - but some complaints.
