Based on that experience, I chose to stick with the Ground Beef Burrito, priced at $14.25 as of January 2026. It was just as good as I remembered and still amazing. During this visit, we also tried two other dishes. The first was the Creamy Chimichanga, also known as Chimichanga a la Crema, which cost $19.25. This dish was savory, creamy, and very indulgent. Like the burrito dishes, it came in a large portion and was served in a huge tray. I liked it, but I felt it was a little too heavy for me because of all the cream. Even so, it was still very delicious. We also ordered the Veggie Super Burrito for $14.99. It was filled with beans and was pretty good overall, but I didn't think it was anything especially memorable. Out of everything we ordered this time, the Ground Beef Burrito remained my favorite. My boyfriend and I stopped by since it was near us and it sounded good! They give you complimentary chips n salsa and the salsa is good! The service was also good, they were pretty busy. The ambiance in here is also very unique and colorful, loved it! I ordered the Burrito De Asada and my man ordered the mexican molcajete and we both loved what we got! Super flavorful. Mexican food in Flagstaff! We waited 30 minutes for a table for three on a Monday, this place was packed. Once we were seated, everything moved pretty quickly. We ordered the shrimp fajitas, and steak burritos with enchilada sauce. The fajitas were excellent and had a lot of variety of vegetables including mushrooms, carrots, onions and bell peppers, which I enjoy when I choose fajitas. My dining partners enjoyed their burritos as well and everything comes in huge portions. I wish the tortillas were thinner/ authentic- they are reminiscent of a certain popular grocery store version, but that could be my bias coming from Southwest Arizona. While sifting through reviews and photos of this place, I came across a photo of the El Tapatio chimichanga trio. One of the three chimis was a shredded mole chicken mole! Sold! It also helped that one of them was a pork green chili one and the other was a chicken cream chipotle type one. One of my friend got the same exact thing but as enchiladas. She was a fan of her plate as well! My hubby made as super hungry and ordered the ribeye ranchero. It was a bit overcooked but I think he confused the waitress when he ordered and she may have heard him say medium instead of medium rare, but it was still tasty he said. Andrew would be impressed with the artwork. The chips and salsa served just after we arrived were great. The salsa was chunky and very tasty, and the chips were nice and crisp. They also brought a small bowl of shredded cabbage, tomato bits and cilantro along with the chips and salsa. It was all very good. I ordered the taco salad with shredded chicken. There was a lot of chicken in the tortilla bowl along with lettuce, tomato, guacamole and cheese. All very fresh and delicious. My wife had the chicken tortilla soup. It was beautiful, in a massive bowl. It was delicious as well and was more than she could eat so she took the leftovers with us for another meal later. The margaritas were very good - Josh could learn a thing or two from their mixologist! The service was prompt and excellent.
