Our wedding reception was held at the Ebell in Long Beach which was catered by Tres LA and I can not thank them enough for creating such an exceptional menu for our wedding. I've heard from every guest how incredible the food was, from the hors d'oevres to the entrees. They were able to accommodate both my husband and I as were are vegetarian, they made a mushroom risotto that I will dream about, it was so delicious. Thank you so much for elevating our wedding with your excellent food, what skill !

We got married at one of Tres LA's properties back in October. I can't even begin to tell you how professional and overall great the entire Tres LA company is. We worked with Jen the majority of our time. Planning to the actual day was smooth sailing! They make panning a wedding so easy. Along with how on top of everything they are, their food is the best! I got so many compliments on our wedding food! Especially their truffle Mac and cheese. To this day, people are still asking me if I can get it from some place. My guests loved their staff. They always made sure their glasses and plates were full. I didn't have to think about anything during my wedding because they had everything covered. They are a well oiled machine with lost of experience. Thank you Jen and Tres LA! You guys are a dream team!

I have attached some photos to show the drama of this beautiful, unique venue. Not only is the venue gorgeous, but the food is absolutely amazing. All 130 of our guests raved about the meal, as well as the unique touches the venue has to offer. I definitely recommend this catering company/venue.

I recently got married at the Ebell of Long Beach and had the pleasure of working with Jen from Tres LA. I've been to a lot of events and this is hands down, the BEST catered food I've ever had, if not one of the best meals I've had period. WOW, the food was absolutely incredible! Our guests were raving about the food and the service the entire evening. I've also included our menu below if anyone's curious. Also a huge shoutout to the bartenders for making such fancy and tasty cocktails. I went in expecting some basic mixes and was absolutely blown away by the craftsmanship of these bartenders. I worked with Jen at Ebell for my wedding who was always super friendly and answered all of my million questions, and I received nothing but compliments on food from start to end. They also did a wonderful job on the drinks, I received a lot of good words on the bartender! I didn't get to take a lot of pictures of the food but I chose the following menu for plated: Appetizers: 1) Duck Confit with crisp sweet potato cake & sour cherry compote 2) House Cured Salmon and truffled potato cone with creme fraiche & caviar 3) Aged st andre cheese with port/fig chutney, cardamom scented pears & caramelized chestnut honey 4) maine lobster roll with lemon mayo on brioche 5) mini chicken & waffles with honey-scallion slaw & maple-sriracha sauce 6) duo of salt roasted beets w/ goat cheese panna cotta, balsamic puree, and hazelnut tuille Salad: baby spinach with poached pear/candied walnuts in balsamic honey dressing + stilton cheese (highly recommended!!! the best salad I've ever had) Entrees: Beef: pan seared beef tenderloin with roasted garlic mashed potatoes/golden beets/asparagus with bordelaise sauce Fish: seared bass with roasted zucchini/carrots/parsnips with pommes puree/truffled spinach sauce Veg: vegan lasagna Desserts: 1) Assorted mini cupcakes - salted caramel 2) Icebox Shots: Lemon Lavender (my absolute favorite...I think I ate a dozen) 3) Creme Brulee 4) I requested a specific shortbread cookie recipe they were able to make! Tres LA is one of those caterers where you can pick anything for your menu and it'll be great. Unless you have a very important/personal reason for bringing your caterer, I would highly recommend Tres LA especially if you're going with Carondelet or Ebell Long Beach for venue.

My husband and I got married in Carondelet House on April 2015. We fell in love with Carondelet House the moment we walked in and it was the very first venue we visited! When we were first introduced to Lara Bowman on one of their Open Houses we were very impressed with how courteous and professional she was. She helped us worked within our budget and was straightforward with our menu options. We were also stoked to find out she was a foodie! There were many modifications made leading up to our wedding and Lara was very responsive, punctual, and organized when it came to communicating with us and the changes that needed to be made. Another reason we fell in love with Carondelet was the fact we can customize our menu!! That was music to our ears to a foodie couple like us!! Our menu was an around-the-world theme. We picked fresh, colorful, tasty, and bold flavors and dishes that we love. We opted for buffet style since that gave us more food options and it fit within our budget. I was hesitant with this because I am not a big fan of buffet presented in huge metal containers--it just looked too casual for me. But Lara convinced me that Tres LA will have the table beautifully styled with food signage and dishes served in copper metal so it would give it a more shabby chic look which I loved so I was sold! The catering staff totally listened to our modifications during the food tasting and was pleasant to work with. I loved the fact that Tres LA is very progressive in their approach to food incorporating many techniques and varied flavors! I was so glad they didn't have the standard, run-of-the-mill wedding menu where your only options were Menu A, Menu B, and Menu C. Their food was so unique and tasty!! It's like one of those cool dishes you would see on cooking shows like Top Chef or Food Network. They give you a detailed questionnaire about food likes/dislikes, flavor profiles, and restaurants you like to frequent. From that the Tres LA staff work their magic and give you a very delectable menu catered to your taste buds. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!! Here's an example of our menu. At our wedding there was a smorgasbord of appetizers: *Braised short ribs on brioche crostini with buttermilk mash and crispy roquefort cheese *Potato cake with duck confit and sour cherry compote *Sweet potato and mango samosa with curried tamarind dip *Roasted tomato soup shooter topped with basil oil & served with mini triangle grilled cheese sandwiches *Sashimi tuna on crispy cilantro scented rice cake with avocado topped with scallion and pickled ginger *Steamed lobster & crab dumplings with piquillo pepper salsa and chile oil *Potato crusted scallops over braised leeks with shiitake marmalade For entrees we had seafood and chicken paella over saffron rice, marinated skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, and butternut squash ravioli with brown butter. Accompanying salad and sides included Farmers market chopped salad, green papaya salad, haricot verts with almonds & brown butter, and caramelized brussel sprouts with bacon and balsamic glaze. MMMMM-mmmm mouthwatering goodness!!!! Needless to say our guests raved about the food! We had an amazing time at a gorgeous venue with hands down delicious food created by a very talented staff! Kudos Tres LA!

I'd highly recommend using Tres LA as THE catering company for your wedding! From day one, Rob (Manager) was amazing to work with - helpful, friendly, professional. The guests couldn't stop raving about the food. I ate my whole plate on my wedding day as the bride! Tres LA works with great vendors and acts as a true partner throughout the process. We had many last-minute changes and Rob was instrumental in helping to make the day go smoothly. The staff is wonderful to work with and very professional and clean. We especially enjoyed the short rib, sea bass, and butternut squash ravioli! I'd definitely use Tres LA again for another event. Tres LA made all the difference on our big day!

As a Korean, I can tell you this is the real deal--it's so freaking delicious and exactly the type of food I grew up with. A few things to know before you order: No Storefront: This is a catering-only business, so there is no physical restaurant to visit. You just call them to place your order. The Right Number: Make sure you call the correct number! Their main lines are (323) 466-3737 or (323) 799-7909. Customizable Menus: While they have menu photos online that act as a guide, you can pick and choose exactly what you want. We ordered the Kalbi Jjim, various veggies, pancakes, and kimchi, and every single dish was a hit. Massive Portions: They are incredibly generous! We ordered for 10 people, but they gave us enough food to feed 40. You definitely get your money's worth. Easy Pickup: The process is super smooth. You just pull up to the street on Beverly Blvd, and they will load everything directly into your car for you. Pro Tip: Ask about getting a discount ;) Also when you arrive to pick up, give them a 15 minute window to assemble your order. They have a delivery option too. I will definitely be using them again for my next event!

This review is long overdue! We had Hungry Bear cater our wedding this year and they absolutely…read morecrushed it!! We had so many guests come up to us during and after the wedding (even months later) saying the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. Everything from the passed apps to the mains, desserts, and late night food was amazing. Food is a huge priority for us, and we wanted to make damn sure that our wedding food delivered, especially since so many of our friends and family know us as major foodies. We loved Hungry Bear's asian-fusion menu and even the salad was unreal (and I'm not a salad girl...get the Little Gem Salad y'all - it's both beautiful and delicious). We had opted for family style and had hangar steak and miso black cod for the mains (but seriously, you cannot go wrong with any of their choices) and a late night pho station. I'm salivating just reminiscing about the food. The drinks were just as good (feel free to reach out to the team with your favorite flavors/ spirit to brainstorm drink ideas or even give them a specific recipe). I opted for a yuzu gin cocktail as my signature drink, which was delightfully refreshing and very well made. On top of that, the service was next-level. The waiters and bartenders were all very kind, funny, and professional. The team made sure my husband and I were constantly taken care of--full water glasses, plates of food, cocktails, everything. One of my best friend has celiac disease, and a staff member came up and told her she was personally "in charge of her" for the night. She was blown away. I was blown away -- especially since we had our wedding at a "bring your everything" venue where everything was brought in to build a "kitchen" - Hungry Bear made sure that food safety/ cross-contamination was a non-issue. Amazing food, amazing drinks, and genuinely kind, fun, and professional servers and bartenders. Jennie, TJ, and the Hungry Bear team truly go above and beyond. We're already asking ourselves when we can have Hungry Bear cater our next event. Look no further and book your tasting today (trust me, and good luck narrowing down the tasting selections)! Highly, highly recommend.

Their menu has so many options to choose from, which I loved. We went with 6 tray-passed appetizers and honestly, every single one was delicious. I'll definitely be using them again for future events. Can't recommend Hungry Bear enough!

We wanted to go with the bossam (pics look so good) but our event was held after lunchtime/light bites so we opted for the taco bar, which was also amazing. Nonstop compliments from friends and family regarding the food. Presentation was just lovely too. Hard to accomplish great taste, price, authenticity, AND presentation but Chubby Fingers rocked it all. Other items ordered that I didn't get good photos of (all was v delicious): - Yuzu tomato salad (so refreshing, wish I could make this at home) - Gochujang glazed veggies - Elote - Japchae P.S. I'm just remembering how wonderful the tacos were, especially the tortilla. Corn and soft, this is NOT your typical grocery store purchase. I think they source it from a legit Latina market. OMG... as I'm writing this, I'm still craving the food we had that day from Chubby Fingers! After doing multiple tastings with other caterers, we chose them for their generous portions and amazing value at a very competitive price point. Why we chose them: Before choosing them, we actually met with several other caterers and even did tastings to compare our options. What really stood out about Chubby Fingers was how generous and abundant their offerings were at a very similar price point. The value honestly surprised us in the best way. The Experience (Catering Drop-off): We ended up doing a catering drop-off, and even with that setup, you could truly feel the care and thought they put into everything. The presentation was beautiful and everything was packed so nicely -- it still felt very special and intentional. The Food (The highlight of our day!): On the day of the event, the food completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Our guests kept complimenting the food throughout the event, and several people even came up to ask where we found the caterer because they wanted the information for their own events. Our Menu Highlights: 1. Chubs Bossam: Slow-roasted caramelized pork shoulder with ssam bar (perilla leaves, lettuce, and samjang). Absolute hit! 2. Japchae: Korean sweet potato glass noodles with mushrooms and vegetables. 3. Gochujang Glazed Veggies: Roasted market vegetables with a subtle, delicious gochujang glaze. 4.Yuzu Tomato Salad: Heirloom tomatoes with greens and a refreshing yuzu vinaigrette (so fresh!). and the White Rice was included! The team was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our day special. I'm so sad I didn't take more photos, I was so busy hosting and enjoying the event, but the presentation in person looked even better than the photos!) If you're planning an event, do yourself a favor and book Chubby Fingers--you won't regret it! I truly can't recommend them enough if you want to impress your guests!
