To start, we came in a group of about 15, we were in modesto for a funeral so we decidedto try this place. My wife and I have traveled 100s of miles just to eat, if we loved our experience and seeing how pretty this place was we were excited... that's about the best thing that happened. The hostess acted as if she was doing us a favor by allowing us to dine here, our waitress was decent, but I never got another glass of water, the food was ok... Will we come back? Probably not. But it's not because of the food, prices or location... we just felt like we weren't wanted there...would've given 1 star, but the other guests (who weren't like us) were getting great service. Maybe they were regulars? Maybe their complexion? Maybe we just came on the wrong day? I doubt we find out.

Came in for a little Friday night date. Upon entering the vibes and ambiance was very nice. We were greeted as soon as we walk in and check into our reservation. Our server was very kind and helpful. Definitely made our first time here much more comfortable. The food was delicious. I very much appreciate how timely spread out when our appetizer and entree came out. Pasta was an 8/10 very good. Pork-chop was definitely different, more on the sweet savory side. Dessert 10/10, definitely would get the lemon pie again.

This is a great restaurant for a date night! We were very impressed by the space and the staff! They were super attentive and recommended dishes based on our preferences. We had macaroni and pistachio encrusted salmon. These meals are very comforting, but elevated.

We had an early dinner before seeing a show at the Gallo Center. The ambiance was warm and inviting. White table clothes covered the tables and there was a real votive candle. We started off with an old fashioned and a vesper. We both enjoyed our drinks. We each ordered a garden salad. The salad had mixed greens, raspberries and blackberries, croutons and some feta cheese. The creamy herbed dressing was a perfect compliment. I had the chicken cordon bleu and my husband had the filet mignon. He substituted fries for the mashed potatoes. The portions were ample. I ordered an espresso martini to finish my meal. Food was fresh and tasty. Our server, Jessica, was professional and attentive. I would definitely return to this restaurant. I recommend it if you are looking for a reasonably priced restaurant with great food and a full bar. It is in walking distance to the Gallo and there is a parking garage nearby.

Visited on 12/6/25 before the holiday symphony at Gallo Center for the Arts - just an easy one block walk. Parking in the adjacent garage was convenient. The menu offered Cajun-inspired dishes; I had the shrimp gumbo, which was spicy and flavorful, reminiscent of New Orleans. My mother enjoyed the fried calamari appetizer as her entrée - perfectly cooked and delicious. The ambience was upscale and classy, and the staff allowed us to dine at a relaxed pace. Overall, an excellent experience and a great choice for a pre-show lunch.

First time trying this spot. Went here with family after celebration a family member graduating. The vibes were immaculate. Very fancy and classy. The service was top tier. Waitress was super helpful and patience with everyone. She recommended really tasty dishes. She was awesome. The food was really good! I ordered the fish & chips entree. The fish was crispy and flaky. The fish was seasoned really well and the tartar sauce that comes with it, really put everything together. The fries were good too. Fries were cut thinly and seasoned well. Overall I give this restaurant a solid 4/5 star review. It was a good spot for lunch in the area!

My Family and I wanted to celebrate our son's graduation from Stanislaus State. Last minute call to Tresetti's hoping they could accommodate a party of eight with short notice. They were more than happy to help us. The food was delicious definitely recommend the Southwest Salad, Red Cola Pork Tacos , yummy)!! Cocktails were right on spot and the service was fantastic. Our server Christy was very attentive to the guest of honor, knowledgeable about menu items, and had a fantastic sense of humor. She made our visit to Tressetti's a fun event. Thank you Christy for making our son's special day a perfect one!

Came here for a little birthday dinner. Very cute and relaxing setting. The pricing on the food was a little expensive. Seafood pasta was good but $50 idkkkkk. Overall everything we had was good! Drinks and food. My favorites were the burrata, dirty martini and espresso martini!

Located in a somewhat industrial area bordering the countryside, it feels like a well-kept local secret--but judging by the crowd, the secret is definitely getting out. We arrived early and were told that the restaurant would become busy. Sure enough, within about 15 minutes, the entrance was jam-packed with people waiting for tables. We were also told that if we had waited until 11:00, we might never have gotten in! The Biscuit Basket serves breakfast and lunch only, and apparently plenty of people know to arrive early. The interior has a pleasant, country-simple décor that feels comfortable and welcoming. Even more impressive was the exceptionally friendly staff. Our server, Adrian, was personable and attentive. He checked on us several times, kept the coffee filled, and made sure the tea was taken care of. Another gentleman delivered our meals and also took time to talk with us. He asked whether we needed anything else and enthusiastically described our selections as some of their best dishes. He was not merely delivering plates--he was proud of what he was serving and continued selling the experience as he went along. The food was delicious. We had biscuits and gravy, I had an omelet, and we both had fresh fruit. Sharon particularly remarked on the quality of the fruit, and I noticed it as well. Restaurants sometimes serve fruit that is underripe or past its prime, but this appeared to have been selected carefully. Everything was fresh, properly ripe, and right on point. We also learned that the people behind the Biscuit Basket have connections to several other successful local restaurant businesses associated with Dan Costa. That experience certainly shows. From the food and service to the smallest details, everything was done exactly right. The Biscuit Basket easily earns five out of five stars--and deserves bonus credit for getting the entire experience right. It was wonderful to see a local business doing so well, and we will definitely return.

I have left wonderful reviews in the past for this place but I have to share my experience…read morerecently. My boyfriend and I have been to Standard Pub several times during the day, and every visit has been fantastic. We've enjoyed the food, drinks, and even had the pleasure of speaking with the owner on multiple occasions. The service was always welcoming, and the food was consistently phenomenal. Because of those great experiences, we decided to bring some friends on a Saturday night. We arrived around 7:30 PM, and the atmosphere looked promising. There appeared to be a DJ setting up, and the crowd seemed excited for a night of music, food, and drinks. Unfortunately, our experience that evening was completely different from what we had come to expect. We ordered food and drinks, and while our server wasn't outright rude, he seemed uninterested in providing the level of service we had previously received. As the night went on, things became increasingly odd. Shortly after ordering another round of drinks, while our drinks were still full and we had just received them, the server approached our table and asked if we were finished. My boyfriend jokingly responded, "No, let me talk to your manager," and laughed, assuming the server was joking as well. The server responded, "Yeah, it's my brother," but with an attitude that left everyone at our table looking at each other wondering what had just happened. He then informed us that we needed to put a credit card on file. At that point, we had already been there for over an hour, and it seemed strange that this requirement was only being brought up then. We also noticed that no other tables around us were being asked for a card. The most disappointing part came when we received the bill. There was an additional $60 service charge added--$35 on my friends' bill and $25 on ours. Confused, we asked for an explanation. The explanations we received kept changing. First, we were told it was because my boyfriend was sitting with another group, which was completely false. Then we were told it was because the bill exceeded $100. After that, we were told it was because there were more than six people in our party, despite there only being four of us. The inconsistent explanations were frustrating and made it feel as though the staff were simply making up reasons to justify the charge. Our issue wasn't necessarily with a service fee itself--it was the lack of disclosure and the conflicting stories we were given when we asked about it. To make matters worse, the receipt also included a separate line for an additional tip. After discussing it with them and explaining that additional charges should be clearly communicated to customers, the service charge was ultimately removed. This review is not a reflection of the food, which remains excellent, nor of our previous experiences at Standard Pub. It is solely based on the service and handling of the situation during our Saturday night visit. We left feeling disappointed and confused, especially because this establishment had earned our trust through many positive visits in the past. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and that management addresses these issues so other customers don't have a similar experience

They rolled with it without hesitation, which I always appreciate. My wife was meeting me a little later, and they timed everything beautifully. The food was on the table only about five minutes before she arrived, and with warm sandwiches and soup involved, the timing mattered. Everything was just the right temperature when we sat down to eat. We both ordered the Uptown Gal--roast beef, giardiniera, Dijon aioli, arugula, and white cheddar on house focaccia. The flavors were spot on, and these are substantial sandwiches. In fact, next time we could probably share one. We also shared the jalapeño Parmesan artichoke dip, which was excellent. We enjoyed some there and brought the rest home. The soups didn't have the same opportunity--we polished those off pretty quickly. Very flavorful. The iced tea was clearly freshly brewed and quite strong, which I actually prefer because I can adjust it to taste. It came in a generously sized glass as well. Lucille is a small place, but they've made very good use of the space. The interior is attractive and has a slightly modern, new-age feel. There was a steady stream of people dining in and picking up orders, and it wouldn't take many more customers to fill the place. I also noticed a nice wine selection and an espresso machine. One other thing stood out: the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there. Lots of smiles and a pleasant atmosphere throughout our visit.
