Be careful of IFS and all other MIDDLEMAN!!! I checked pre-qualified auto refinancing options from Credit Karma. I saw 3.7% from IFS, which was about 1% lower than my current loan's APR. Fine, I thought I might be able to save some bucks with this offer. I applied for the loan and then I started receiving phone calls from IFS's representative asking for my detail information including VIN of my car. I thought things will go smooth, but that didn't happen!!! FIRST, after I provided my information to that guy, I noticed there were two hard credit inquiries from them. One, the day when I applied for the loan. Second, the the day when I gave additional information to that IFS guy. I immediately called him asking why they ran two credit inquiries hurting my credit. He simply said they run only once!!! BUT how come I got two inquiries in my credit report??? This is clearly UNFAIR to customers!!! I have my doubts that they are telling the truth. SECOND, he called me saying my loan application is approved with 3.72% APR for 48 months of loan terms. He sent me documents to sign online which mentioned only the approved loan amount and monthly payment for next 48 months without showing the approved loan APR! I asked him why APR is not given in the document. He said that will appear in the final contract paper. Ok fine! MOST INTERESTINGLY... I figured out that I will actually end up paying more in interest (plus fee) in this IFS approved loan over the life of the loan (48 months) with 3.72% APR than I will pay in my current loan with 4.6% APR. Surprising game of numbers!!!!!!!! I emailed the same guy asking how come I end up paying more in a loan option with a lower APR. He just replied that I will rather save $200 with IFS loan without explaining to me how will that be the case. After my email on confusing numbers of loan interest, he neither called nor emailed me asking what is my decision on his loan offer. Rather I noticed they closed my loan application after 3 or 4 days of that last email communication. Why? Don't you think they should at least ask me about my decision on the loan offer!! Thanks to IFS, I have two hard credit inquiries to remain for next 2 years! My suggestion and lesson: Cut out middleman, go with the real lenders!!! Compared to another company that got me approved in 30 minutes, no lie on that! My rep would asking me the same questions by email multiple times. Twice this company made me an offer to refinance my auto loan and after resigning documents twice and wasting almost 3 full weeks, they were unable to fund the loan they offered me. This resulted in my current auto loan payment being LATE, as they had assured me the new loan would be in place before my due date. Josh was amazing! It literally took less than 24 hours for a response and he was able to get me refinanced. I have not so good credit at all and he was still able to find me a solution with a really awesome bank! The process was simple, quick, pain free! We were forced to use them with General Motors to do a lease buyout, our bank paid off the loan on March 13th and IFS was supposed to register our vehicle which expired at the end March. Buying from Avis car sales/IFS is like pulling teeth. Their sales people all of whom work remotely do not seem interested in selling their cars. For example, starting on 13th Feb until today I have had to call them at least thirty times because if you call them 10 times they might pick up once. They never respond to emails or voicemails. I have to keep begging them to move on to the next step e.g. Giving me the out the door price, giving me the wiring information, making sure they received my driver's license details etc. Their incompetence is mind blowing. For example, my sales person sent me a sales agreement to sign in which the total purchase price was $131,219.3 for a 2016 Toyota Corolla with 41.5k miles on it instead of $13,219.3!!! I had to call them at least 10 times, leave a message, and send them several emails about it. And still it took her over 12 hours to correct her own mistake despite bringing it to her attention so many times. This was a docusign agreement. It takes maybe 10 seconds to revise it online! Of course she also never apologized for wasting so much of my time due to her mistake. Also, I have wired the whole amount of $13,219.3 on Feb 14. Chase says my wire transfer has been completed on Feb 15. Of course even after multiple emails IFS has been completely non-responsive about whether or not they have received my $13,219.3 wire transfer!!! I thought they do not want to sell you the car unless they can lure you into their financing options. But after reading the horror stories from others here who have gone through their harrowing financing process I guess they just do not give a damn either way. Their car also had over 250 more miles than their Truecar ad. Moreover, they have sold me a car the registration of which has expired! To make matters much worse, there are lots of hidden fees: a $90 title fee, a $163 processing fee, and they are charging me $291 for registration even though it is their fault for not keeping up with the vehicle's registration. They intentionally do not provide the out the door price until you say you want to buy the vehicle. Overall I will never ever buy from Avis or IFS again. read more

First off I would like to thank IFS for giving me the opportunity to lower my car payment and interest rate well adding Gap insurance to my auto loan after me only being financed with another bank 4 months before when I first purchased my vehicle. So that being said, none of this couldn't be possible without that first call back I received after submitting my online application through credit Karma. IFS was recommended by Credit Karma, who should be more careful about their recommendations. I filled out their app online and never heard from anyone, except that about a month later (yesterday), I received notification from Credit Karma that my credit score had dropped five points! It was because IFS did a hard inquiry. Please note that I have a good credit score (730), so I didn't appreciate them never following through and contacting me regarding the refinance. It's not like they would have looked at my score and said, "Oh, no, we can't do anything with this low score." After reading the other reviews, which I should have done first, I know now that IFS has very poor communication and follow through. Same horrible experience as Jonathan's . What a waste of time. This guy Tyler DiPrato guy and I have the emails to show how bad this company works. They run your credit before asking important questions and after all that this Tyler guy tried to solicit my personal info to some insurance company. He asked stupid questions. Things like does it have Navigation, type of stereo system, and sunroof. WTF! That's all standard equipment. I gave the damn VIN #! I've had cars refinanced and never been told questions stupid like that. Why do you think VIN#'s are for? That was a hunch something was not looking straight with this guy. He wasted my valuable time. He wrote to call me back next day afternoon after a week of delays and now going two weeks and three emails of no replies, left message at this guys phone message and not even a simply easy reply back. I hate solicitors running scams like this. I will file a complaint to the BBB. You can find better results refinancing your car than this rip off company. People and companies that operate like this should have hefty prison terms for wasting peoples valuable time. These kind of people damage other peoples trust. A trustworthy business should NEVER have a single negative remark and adding to the first complaint, it's looking true. Unless this company prove otherwise, this review holds as it is. Never heard back from anyone. Unfair / upset that I get hit with a hard inquiry on my credit score for this, in addition to providing PII only to never hear back from this company. IFS invited me to review them on Yelp.....My experience with this company has been the same as the 5 reviews I just read. Wish I had read the reviews before doing business with IFS. We bought our vehicle three, yes three, months ago. It took 2 1/2 months to get the windshield repaired and we still do not have a second key! We get email responses and promises from our rep, Kimberly, but don't seem to be getting anywhere. We love our vehicle but will NEVER deal with IFS again. I was preapproved for my auto refi load. I filled out the paperwork they sent me. Paid to have it notarized. Sent it back to them. I emailed back a few times within a month and got no answers! Then someone FINALLY replied and said he'd help me, because the other guy (Angel), is no longer there. Then I sent a couple more emails, and as you can guess, AGAIN, no replies! (Jeff or Mark) Then I get a call from a smug guy stating that rate isn't valid anymore, unless I wanted to pay more per month with a shorter term loan. (As he's chuckling about it.) Then asks how I want to proceed. I said I want my title back and I'm NOT doing business with you. It's been 3 weeks, and I STILL don't have my title back!! It takes a LOT for me to give a negative review, but these guys are HORRIBLE and hope nobody else ever has the issues I'm having. Oh, and I also have THREE hard hits on my credit report from them. I seen the ad Credit Karma for IFS and it stated I qualifed for a 3.49% interest rate that would take my payment down to $548 a month, saving me $120 a month. So I applied. WRONG thing to do, I . After I applied I received a phone call for more info, so I gave it to the guy and he said he had to make sure what the pay off was on the truck and he would get back to me as soon as the loan went through. And I thought to myself, "wow, this is great I am going to be saving money".. Well that was on a Friday, on Monday I received an email stating that he could not find a lender. I was so mad because they mislead me, I did not know my credit was going to be run by several different lenders, and putting hard hits on my credit. This is WRONG for company's to be allowed to do this. I want all those hard hits off my credit report. read more
