    I initially gave a five-star review to Don Hewlett Collision after I picked my truck up earlier this week. Upon further review of insurance work done, I noticed that the chrome lettering is significantly misaligned ! I was not sure if this was the case until I looked at dozens of Canyon Denali photos, which confirm this. Not a happy customer at this moment and extremely suprised at the lack of quality control at such a reputable dealership. All you need is a cheap ruler and a pair of eyes to see the indented ridge across the tailgate. I will visit the dealership this week to see how soon this error can be fixed.

    These guys (especially the manager) stink!!! He's been in the business for over 40 years (as he stated multiple times) and still can't resolve my issue. See my review on Google they paid for someone to take down. """Hail damage estimated 7 days 5 Weeks later and after 2 full days of detailing to get the car "ready" to pick up.....DRUMROLL PLEASE.....see pics. Scratches all over the vehicle. Panels broken and not in place. Dust or over spray on my seats and the seats were folded up so I couldn't see it. Brilliant!!! And oil residue on the under side of my head liner. Additionally trash and material left in the back of the truck along with 2 screws and washers sitting in my cup holder. Not sure where those go!!! But hey I paid them before I inspected so shame on me!!! If you want this type of customer service and workmanship come to HEWLETT COLLISION. They'll fix you right up. As of right now I have no calls or emails from manager or customer service rep. 8 hrs ago.....Anyone have Mr. Hewlett's number?"""

I searched and searched for a mobile mechanic, read through tons of reviews. Mobile Auto Clinic was highly reviewed, so I reached out to them for service. I was really excited when they could show up the day that I got ahold of them. GGreat service! Looking at the check engine code, they determined that it was something wrong with my evap system. They replaced a part in my evap system, I am not mechanic, so can't remember what part that was on their first visit, but the cost was around $140. They assured me that the problem was fixed. Well, it wasn't fixed. My check engine light came back on. I got a hold of them and they decided to replace Fuel Evaporative Canister for $488.21. They told me that all should be good to go. We'll, it wasn't. My check engine light came back on. There were a few other visits trying to determine what was going on. In those visits, one of there mechanics told me to put Vaseline on my gas cap- said that maybe it was a seal issue with my gas tank. Tried that, check engine light came back on. There were a couple of other visit fees, I even drove from SW Austin to their shop to have my truck smoked, they said that they could only do it at the shop. They didn't find any issues in the smoke test, but I do have another invoice for 555.77 for ​Replace Canister Purge Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. Again they said that problem should be fixed. Again, check engine light came back on. Next thing they did was Replace Purge Line Going to Evap Solenoid for $499.35. Again, problem fixed. Nope check engine light came back on. They came back out a couple more times- replaced some seals or something. Totally fixed this time. Nope, nope, nope. Check engine light came back on. I texted the mechanic, Ben Barchuh, to let him know that light was back on. He said that he talked to some gmc mechanics or something, and that they said that we should just replace the rest of the evap system. I told Ben that I was nervous about that cost because I am really financially strapped right now. I asked for a quote for the rest of the system before we did the work. He said that he would get it over to me, but, in the meantime, I could just clear the check engine light myself. I have no idea how to do that! We'll, it has been weeks without hearing back from Ben even though I have sent him multiple texts. I contacted the shop to let them know that Ben hadn't gotten back with me. They said that they would have him touch base with me. Still nothing weeks later. I have now been trying to get ahold of the shop, and they have stopped responding to me. Not good business. It is now the end of May 2026 and my check engine light is still on. More than a year working with them and still not fixed. I have been patient, nice, easy to work with, understanding. I've tipped the mechanics a few times on top of labor and parts costs. I'm not sure what I did to them to have them completely ghost me. Apparently, when they can't fix something and you tell them that you are broke, you are a worthless customer to them. Really makes me feel like garbage. So it seems I'm not a good enough customer for them. I really was trusting them to fix the issue- I thought that they were experts. I guess not. When they can't fix something, they completely disappear. It's unfortunate because I really liked everyone that I worked with there. I had no problem giving them the chance to fix my vehicle because they seemed so honest and kind. Stupid me. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I chose Mobile Auto Clinic because they had great reviews. It seems like many have had great experiences with them. I thought that I was having a great experience with them until they ghosted me. Very disappointing. I know that I am just one person, but maybe folks will read this to help them decide whether or not to do business with Mobile Auto Clinic. At the end, it's your decision, but this has been my experience with them. I was hoping to be a long-term customer with them, but that has been blown up. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated

They are very honest about what is or is not needed (spoiler: something your other mechanic told you might not be necessary yet or needed at all). Example: my other place told me that I needed to get rotors replaced (over $1000). This place told me that (1) I could wait until my next oil change in 6000 miles, (2) that they have a machine to resurface rotors instead of replacing them entirely, (3) that it would only cost me about one-third what the other place quoted. They are highly knowledgeable and they are also really good at finding deals. I referred a friend here who needed a part replacing and they called up different car yards to find the part to save her money (of course you can always get the more expensive versions of things too if you want). My friend just really appreciated that they were trying to help her save money. So yeah five out of five. I drive an hour out of my way just to come to these guys here.

Once jumped, it was good for the rest of the day. I would have thought bad battery but the battery was six month's old and had been working perfectly until a week prior. So, I get it started and go see the nice guys at my neighborhood AutoZone (University, in RR). They kindly ran their diagnostic module on my car and it pronounced the battery good and that my charging current failed. They pronounced it 'bad alternator' and I accepted their diagnosis and began looking for a mobile mechanic to replace the alternator. Anyway, after numerous nebulous texts to a litany of mobile mechanics and unable to nail one down on either time/price or both, I contacted Tony at MnM. I dropped the car off and within an hour he called me and said my alternator's fine but your battery's cracked. So, picked up the battery and swapped it out at Costco and took the new one back to MnM and shortly they had me up and running. Paid them a pittance for the diagnostic and battery R&R and went on my way. The headline here is; Honest Mechanic found in Georgetown!. They're my guys now.

Crappy shops are a thing of the past for me, but I still hear the horror stories from those whom I've not yet rescued by pointing them to Jerry's. QUALITY. I've never had to return a car to Jerry's because they got it wrong. They understand the problem and work through the options with you before they start the repair; then the result comes out perfect every time! This is what you would expect from any shop that wants your business, but that is definitely not the case. Many other mechanics hide how confounded they are with your car's issue, or they perform a repair that fails or has to be redone soon after. I've never had that hassle with Jerry's. Never. PRICE. Jerry's prices do not raise your suspicions. And, they will help you with 'get by' repairs if that is all you need at the time. HUMANITARIANS. More than a great price for a repair you can trust, the folks at Jerry's care about you. Todd and Charlie (maybe others in the staff) are veterans with good educations and superb mechanic skills who are running a family-owned shop that intends to keep customers coming back for generations.
