This is a very popular brunch spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is along a corner of Broughton (a busy street) but it still has a fun vibe and is a great spot to people watch. I visited midweek in the early evening (around 6-6:30p) and it was completely dead, so a very different vibe than their peak brunch hours. But I was hungry and their Shrimp + Grits were recommended. That's all I had (other than water) and they were pretty good, but not the best I've had. The dish featured about 6-8 small-ish shrimp served over a full bowl of grits with sauce, large sliced bell peppers, and onions on one side, with a small sprinkling of Parmesan on top. All of it was well-cooked and the sauce was mild but tasty, I just wish there had been more of it. I'm not a huge fan of bell peppers so I only ate about half of those. And since there was only sauce on half of the grits, I ended up leaving quite a bit since grits alone are pretty plain. ;) The server was super friendly and attentive so A+ for service! To be fair, I was one of only a few customers at the time and I know mornings can be pretty hectic. I would definitely return and try some of their other dishes. Saturday, the day after SCAD commencement. Waltzed in at 08:30 and the place (which was highly recommended) was starting the day. Very bright, clean, open, and comfortable. Seated immediately, and the wicked nice waitress took our drink order almost immediately too. I had a cafe white (white latte), my bride had a regular cuppa Joe, and the nephew had fresh squeezed orange juice. All top shelf. For breakfast I had two poached, wheat toast, apple sausage, and cheese/grits. "Perfection!" The cheese and grits are made with a heavy whipping cream, and trust me, they personified the old southern charm perfection of hospitality. Awesome waitstaff! Ashley was the bee's knees. This one landed mixed reviews at our table. I thought it was really tasty, while my wife was a bit underwhelmed. It's generously loaded with peaches, but the toast itself is very thick, which means a heavier crust-to-soft ratio than some might prefer. We also tried their take on a BLT -- bacon, lettuce, and tomato -- elevated with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese. Tons of flavor and absolutely delicious, though I found the fried green tomato a bit shy and hiding in the sandwich. Service deserves a special shoutout. Our waiter, Kunal, was phenomenal. Great attitude, genuinely charming, and the kind of personality that instantly puts a smile on your face. The atmosphere is fun and casual, making it an easy spot to relax and enjoy a meal. This place was just ok. The cinnamon French toast was really good but my chicken apple sausage was cold. You can tell it was pre cooked and just plopped on my plate. My latte was lukewarm at best. Same as the bacon that was with my daughter's cinnamon French toast. My other daughter has the Peach stuffed French toast. This was the most misleading and disappointing item ordered. It would more accurately be named peach smothered French toast. There is no stuffing when there is only one thick piece of French toast. Let down for sure. I ordered from Toast on DoorDash tonight, and honestly--if you don't want to fulfill orders, take yourself off the platform. Why would a salad come with no dressing? The Cobb didn't even have an option to add it, so I called and asked for ranch--got attitude, but assumed it'd be included. I also added ranch to the home fries just in case. Still, no ranch at all. When I called, the manager said it was the Dasher's job to check the order. That's not true--they can't open sealed bags, and this one was stapled shut. The response was rude, and I ended up paying $18 to get ranch elsewhere just to eat. On top of that, my daughter expected fresh fruit with her French toast but got jam, and the pig candy didn't match the description. Easily one of the most disappointing orders I've had. read more

Toast All Day is a great go to restaurant for brunch. On my recent visit they were still offering holiday drinks, which my espresso martini was absolutely delicious. The customer service from my waitress was great. Unfortunately, the food was lacking for me. My fries were warm, my sandwich bread was initially burnt and the inside of the sandwich was cold. My partner's burger was delicious. I did voice my concerns to my waitress and they did remake my food, which was alot better afterwards. read more

I've been wanting to try Toast for about two years but I never had the patience/time. Today we went with friends from out of town and I specifically went wanting beignets (the best I've had in Georgia and Florida btw). They were everything and more to the fact that it almost brought me to tears (but it could've been the baby). Everyone at the table loved their food and I did as well. I ended up sending my eggs back because I ordered them wrong, then we had a spill caused by us and they had to remake my food. I said that last part to say that NICKI was our server, she was busy but she was GREAT. She fixed any issue I had and made sure we were satisfied with everything and the experience. I chose this restaurant because it advertised gluten-free options, but when I asked about accommodations, the staff was unwilling to make even simple modifications or offer helpful alternatives. Instead of trying to work with my dietary needs, I felt like my concerns were treated as an inconvenience. The lack of customer service was more disappointing than the food itself. If you have celiac disease or need to eat gluten-free for medical reasons, I would recommend looking elsewhere. There are other restaurants in Savannah that are much more knowledgeable and accommodating. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

We decided to try this spot on a weekday. The restaurant was clean, had a welcoming vibe, and the music set a great tone for our meal. We started with the Nutty Irishman coffees; mine with oat milk and my fiancé's with almond milk. When they arrived, mine was hot and his was iced, which caught us off guard. Turns out, when ordered with almond milk, it's only available iced. Funny enough, my fiancé never drinks iced coffee, but he ended up loving it! For food, I had the corned beef hash, it was perfectly seasoned, tender, and delicious. My fiancé had the shrimp and grits and really enjoyed it as well. We were tempted to try the beignets for dessert, but we were too full and totally satisfied. I really enjoyed Toast on Broughton, the wait time wasn't bad at all for a Sunday, the staff was friendly. The only con I would say is the closeness of the tables, kinda uncomfortable in the front of the restaurant but I've been in the back area and it's better there. Another con, the restrooms reek of urine, even in the hallway headed in there and they aren't the cleanest. My recommendation (unsolicited) use vinegar and clean often. I heard some good things about "Toast" so I had to try it out. It's in the middle of town so parking is a little crazy. But once you walk in you will not be disappointed. As you can see from my pictures the food was made with absolute love. Presentation to me is key and they knocked it out the park. As for taste, these pictures don't do it justice because everything I ate was absolute food organs in your mouth. Everything from the biscuit to the grits. I don't say this often but the food was made to perfection. I just wished they served more because it was delicious. Our server and service was awesome nice and quick to sit and nice and quick to receive our food. Our waiter was really good and catered to our needs. The ambiance of the restaurant was as you can aspect. In the middle of town but a great ambiance of locals and people visiting Savannah. Frankly, there are much better places to grab breakfast in downtown Savannah for a lot less money. The food here is wholly mediocre and certainly doesn't justify the premium paid ($16 for the classic breakfast vs $10-11 at some other restaurants, for example). I had the classic breakfast and my wife had the Power Plate. My classic breakfast was okay. The home fries were underseasoned and the sausage lacked flavor. Her egg whites looked very unappetizing (like something I would make at home, and I'm not a good cook). Toast All Day added a 3% service fee to the bill with tip expected in addition, which is ridiculous and no other restaurant I ate at in Savannah did. I was going to give this place 3 stars, but as I kept writing this review I dropped it to 2 stars. But I'm giving it 1 star, because when we went to Toast All Day, downtown Savannah was under a boil water order. The previous night at Chive, our servers brought us bottled water free of charge. At Toast, they brought us regular water with ice, and they seemed to have no idea of the boil water order then charged us for a bottle of water. Avoid this place. They're just looking to rip off tourists. read more

The place was packed which is a good sign that the eatery is good. Our service was great. The food was fantastic. We both ordered what we order for breakfast almost every weekend that we go out for breakfast and which is corn beef & hash. But let me tell you, this was real corn-beef, shredded not like a pate. Its three days later and the negative interaction i had with your hostess, Rebecca, is still bothering me. We arrived an hour before close. It was my birthday. She will be here in 40 minutes. I plan on ordering for her. Rebecca- we dont seat parties unless they are all here. Me- I think I just explained it to you. We'd like a table now. Rebecca- no response. Walks away Several minutes later Rebecca- okay. It will be about ten minutes. We are cleaning a table for you. Me- what are you talking about? There are plenty of open tables Rebecca- where? Where do you see an open table? We all walk in. Rebecca is walking us towards a 4 top table. Me- what about that one? (Its a large table with 8 seats and a hot cook top center. ) or that one?(exact same open table) Rebecca- no. That one will be hot. Rebecca- i was being KIND to you. Allowing you to come in without a complete party. Me- this conversation is getting very awkward. Lets move on with our day. Rebecca- walks again towards the 4 top table. Me- no. I saw Rebecca talking about us to that same woman, who i assumed was the manager. I am a Professional Chef. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 23 years. As a hostess, server, bartender, line cook, pastry chef. You name it. Ive done it. You need to fire Rebecca. She is deplorable. She and the manager who was on staff April 12 2026 both need to be fired. They make your business look bad.
