It's exactly the kitchen I envisioned...light, clean, and complimentary to our early 1960's home. He gave us a couple of options for cabinet finishes with detailed quotes and helped us select an option within our budget. He's busy and couldn't start for 3 or 4 weeks which gave us time to select and order a new countertop/backsplash, sink, faucet, and hardware. His countertop subcontractor did an excellent cutting and installation job too. John's crew worked M-Th which gave us enough downtime during the construction that lasted about 3 weeks. He used the same two guys throughout the project. Ed and Mynor showed up on time everyday and were hardworking and neat. He gave us paint to match the cabinets and we painted the interiors to exactly match the Thermofoil wrapped doors and frames. After 20 years as a construction manager at K-12 schools, I can honestly say John is one of the best contractors I've worked with. My coworker referred me to Woodface and told me they are his favorite vendor of all during his renovation and they are my favorite now. We looked all over the bay area for cabinet vendors but we failed to find one who could hit the right color and tone. (They were either too yellow or too brown for us) In my first visit to the Woodface office, George showed me a number of oil finish options and assured the they can match colors we wanted and offered me to tag along to the woodshop for the material purchase when I showed particular interest with the cuts. I was impressed already with how my coworker's kitchen turned out and after the meeting, I felt comfortable trusting Woodface with the biggest investment of the renovation. I'm extremely happy with the quality of materials they used, attention to details and solid craftmanship. They were able to fit the upper cabinets to the pitch of my vaulted ceiling. I hope the pictures do justice even though they are sitting on a bare subfloor right now.
