The staff in back has also gotten much more friendly The only thing I would recommend is that a uniform or scrubs be standard issue for the front staff. One of the girls dresses was so short that things that shouldn't have been seen were seen. It became a topic of conversation in the waiting room, which is never a good thing. The TV was extremely loud and when multiple people asked about it, they just said yeah it's loud in here. I saw this little sign that they charged to use a credit card. I would tend to avoid a business that did this if I was here for a scan that needed done. I think it's an unfair practice.

After waiting over an hour, I was greeted in a very condescending manner and immediately told that I would need to remove the small piercings in my ears. I calmly explained that I have had these piercings for nearly a decade and that during my previous MRI, I had several more piercings that could not be removed. At that time, the imaging center simply covered them with medical tape, and there were no issues. I also explained that, because of the type of jewelry I have, I am unable to remove them myself. I even attempted to remove them right there to show her that I was genuinely trying to accommodate the request. Instead of working with me to find a solution, she immediately responded that she was "not going to argue with me." She then told me, "I'll wait for you to finish your form and THEN you can pay attention to me." I finished the paperwork, only to be told that I would need to have the piercings removed or replaced, reschedule my appointment, and come back another time. I understand that MRI safety protocols are extremely important, and I have no issue following necessary safety procedures. What I do have an issue with is the way I was treated when I was genuinely trying to find a solution. After already having to reschedule multiple times due to illness, waiting over an hour only to be turned away because the situation could not be handled with any flexibility was incredibly frustrating and felt like a complete waste of my time. I needed this MRI to determine the extent of my injuries, so walking away without getting the imaging I needed was extremely upsetting. Ultimately, I will be moving forward with treatment elsewhere because I do not feel comfortable returning after this experience. The front desk staff were wonderful, but unfortunately, one interaction completely changed my impression of SimonMed. I sincerely hope management addresses how patients are spoken to, especially when they are already dealing with injuries and are doing their best to cooperate.

After getting checked in for a possible broken elbow, vitals were taken and MD examined. We were told the xray tech was in with someone and we would be next. We sat there for over an hour (I can't imagine one set of X-rays took an hour). X-rays were finally taken in less than 5 mins. Then after sitting another 30 mins, I asked how long it would be until someone could look at the xray. I was told "this is the part that takes a while" and that I "was lucky they were still on the day schedule because the night time wait time can be up to 4 hours." We waited about 20-30 mins then asked again how long it would be. They couldn't give me a TAT so we got up and left. We were there for over 2.5 hours to have 3 X-rays taken. And who knows how much longer it would have taken to have someone read the X-rays. I don't believe there were a large number of patients there at the time. The parking lot only had a few cars, waiting room was empty and the nurses desk outside the exam room had the same nurses/techs/MDs sitting there our entire wait. Their website says little to no wait. How healthcare should be. That was not my experience at all.

WS told very sternly by the new office manager that from now on, I have to bring someone with me; that they are short staffed and will not spend the 75 seconds required for the ct scan to sit with me! The office mgr at this location has a lot to learn about customer/patient care. If this were my clinic, she'd be gone. The other issue is that I asked them to print out the films on a cd and mail it to my neurosurgeons office in Phoenix! Not only did the surgeon never receive it, but when I called advanced to see if they sent it out, they said there was no date indicating when it was sent, just says "mailed." Now I know usps has been slow, but it doesn't take 15 days to mail a cd from Mesa to Phoenix! THIS OFFICE IS COMPLETELY INEPT AT ANYTHING. There are plenty other radiographic places to go; why settle for an office that just doesn't care. Definitely will never be going back there.

I used their service in February, was billed in March and immediately wrote a check, which cleared my bank on March 30. By SECOND invoice, dated April 29, I was billed for the same services. No one answers (or returns calls) at the number listed on the invoice. I have called them three times. I also called the vendor who wanted me to send e-mail proof that I had paid. I am unable to do that so she said she would contact their billing office.

I had a bunch of paperwork to fill out even after doing it online (to be expected I suppose), but as I was giving my paperwork back I witnessed the staff being so rude again to another patient who was trying to figure things out for her very elderly mother. It's so sad to see healthcare workers in any capacity treating patients as if they're such a bother. I was already worried about this appointment, because it was my first, but there was a redemption. The tech who did the imaging for my mammogram was Shelby -- she turned the experience around. Shelby was so kind, professional, and put me at ease. She explained to me exactly how the appointment would go, and what to expect next. If I could give 5 stars to her, I would. Overall, I would highly recommend looking at reviews ahead of time-- if you have a choice to go someplace else, do it.
