I have been reloacted to the Sacramento area for work from AZ. Stumbled upon Tri-City on my way home leaving the office and stopped in to inquire on some pricing. I was greeted by the property manager, Kelvin. Outstanding and professional service provided by him. He shown me a few units, made the reservation for the following weekend and I couldn't be more happy with the service provided, the security of the facility and not to mention, how clean the office and the property grounds are. I used this storage facility for two years with no issues, I was on auto pay. I lost my wallet, and cancelled the card. It slipped through the cracks and I forgot to pay the bill that month. I never even received a call, and not even 2 weeks into the next month I get a letter in the mail stating they were going to be filing a lien on me. read more

Buyer beware the storage rent is constantly going up. I got a call from Tri City Storage my storage unit door had been pried open and things were disheveled and missing, my lock had been cut off. There was no offer of free rent or restitution. read more

I had stored my motor home here for over a year, with out incident. In Late January I had picked up my motor home for a trip, and noticed that some of the exterior cargo door knobs had been turned. I told the manager ( Heather ) and she said she would have the others checked out. Okay- Fast forward to the first Sunday in March. I went to check on the motor home and I was surprised to see that someone had tries to forcefully enter the motor home through the entry door. I also discovered that ALL the exterior cargo compartments had been forcefully opened. Luckily nothing was stolen ( because I don't keep valuables stored) and luckily they were not able to make entry. I found at 32 gallon trash can that was in my storage compartment left outside by the criminals, right side up. I also found it filled with rain water about 1/3 of the way up. Now that last rain storm was the previous Friday night and I discovered it on Sunday afternoon. That tells me that the damaged occurred minimum 48 hrs prior to my discovery. Which means that there were no routine inspections performed. Upon this discovery, I soon realized that several other motor homes had the same damage. I counted around 9, but later the manager (Heather) told me on the phone 16 were damaged. After finding my motor home damaged, I called the office line..no answer so I left a message. I went to the onsite living quarters, knocked on the door, still no answer. Even though there was a vehicle parked by the living quarters. I filed a police report took my motor home and left. Now the disappointing part.. Heather did call me back on Monday morning. She was polite on the phone and stated that the routine is to file a police and thats basicly it. She also said that the company who owns the lot will give a 1 free month rental for the inconvenience. At the same time I had my insurance agent out looking at the motor home. He estimated the damage at almost $2000. (later the estimate increased to nearly $2400). So I asked Heather for the contact information who owns the storage and would only provide me with a general email address. It certainly is not a "company" with a genuine website or email. But I still emailed to the address given and the Tri-City Storage. I had asked for Tri-City storage to pay my deductible of $500 for the following reasons. I told them about the trash can filled with water. I explained that they do not have any security cameras on the lot facing the RV lot, the lot is not lighted, there is not a security fence, only a standard chain link fence. There are obviously no security patrols, guards or dogs. I said to them that their websites states that they go the extra mile for security, which they dont and would like for them to pay for only my deductible. I get no response. So I go to the office and send the email again. Then it goes through.. The manage ( Heather) reads it and then asks me what I want... Im thinking to myself is she for real? But I politely teller her $500 for my deductible and she tells me she is only a manager and can not authorize that, only the company who owns the lot can.....( back this mysterious company)...and what kinda of manager has no authority over the business they run? So I cancel my contract with them and leave. So can you guess what happens next? Im sure you can.. Heather emails me back and states that "the company is not liable for damages occurred on the lot." HORRIBLE STORAGE FACILITY!!! Buyer beware...Onsite manager or property management (Sherwin Properties of Napa) could care less about providing the basic level of security for your personal belongings. There are currently no lighting, or security cameras on site. Local deputies agree its one of the worst in the area for providing adequate protection. Most all of the outdoors RV"s were attempted break-ins with thousands of dollars in damage. Not to mention the managers neglected to notify the tenants of such Vandalism that they were well aware of. When contact was made to Jen of Sherwin Properties all she could say was hope you had good insurance. These people run a pathetic operation...which allowed me to learn a valuable lesson not to be fooled by saving a few bucks monthly. There are many other storage facilities in the area that take your personal belongings seriously, and provide adequate security. Also many other locked storage units were also broken into. Terrible lot for RV Storage, we had our trailer broken into twice there. Absolutely no security..no lighting whatsoever in the RV lot, no cameras and the fencing is totally inadequate. There were about 25 RVs broken into last summer and again last weekend and ownership does nothing to secure the facility. We emailed ownership and received ZERO response....STAY AWAY!!!! Placer Sheriff department told us it was the least secure lot he had ever seen, his exact quote was "They aren't even trying" read more

Tri-City has been one of the best storage facilities we have used! The units are kept clean of rodents and spiders, not any of our belonging have been damaged or stolen in over a year of storage with them. One time we accidentally left the lock unlatched for about a week or so and not a thing was touched, wheww! The managers are always friendly and helpful, professional and caring, keeping the units and grounds well maintained. Five stars for Tri-City! read more

The management for Tri-City storage is very unprofessional and rude. The door to my storage unit broke and they had me fix it myself. They told me this happens quite often and never sent anyone to professionally repaired my door. A week later when I went back to my storage unit the door came off the track and damage my stuff inside. Once I finally spoke with the regional manager he was very rude. When they finally fixed my door they damage more stuff inside my unit. Still to this day the management has never called to apologize or suggest repairing any of my stuff. I highly recommend looking for a different storage facilities for your needs. read more

My things were kept here in a storage unit for 3 weeks. I had paid for the insurance that the storage staff recommended. My lock was picked and about $1150 worth of things were stolen. Another person a few units down from me had his unit broken into at the same time. I filed a police report for my stolen things. I reported the loss to the insurance company. After 2 months, the insurance company decided that my claim was denied because there was no sign of forced entry. The storage unit's owner was extremely unhelpful and rude about this matter. Horrible customer service. She told me that they have nothing to do with the insurance and it wasn't even her responsibility to be on the phone with me about this matter. There was no video footage or other evidence showing what happened at my unit for proof and she was not willing to go to bat for me with the insurance company. She ultimately said this wasn't her problem that my things got stolen from her storage facility and that she didn't need to waste anymore of her time talking with me about it. I find this to be completely unacceptable and would never recommend this storage facility to anyone. It is unlike me to write a negative review, but I feel like this situation should have been handled better and since I won't be getting reimbursed for my stolen things, the least I can do is prevent this from happening to someone else. read more

All about the money. I had rented a unit for about 2 years. Last January my rent went up over 30% with one months notice. I called the home office to discuss the lack of warning and no response or return phone call from them. They could care less, after all, they already have your stuff hostage. They constantly bombard you with notices and pre lien notices each one costing you more money. It was not uncommon to get two on the same day. I was told they would pro rate when I moved out early but they changed their minds after we talked about it prior to moving out. Zero refund. This place is totally about the money...they've been watching to much "storage wars" hoping and praying you'll default. Greedy to the bone. I've been self employed for 40 years and I get the profit game, but there is no long term relationship building here. I have rented from 10 different storage business in the past 10 years and these folks are at the bottom. BTW I service 12 pawnshops in the Sacramento area, they do not want your stuff and will work with people to help them retain their possessions, just ask. Stark contrast from Tri-City, lucky I had the means to protect my stuff even during lean times. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the storage industry is not regulated enough. read more
