I am always pleased with the experienced techs, their level of service, and most importantly knowing that my HVAC system is running at its best! They way overcharged $1128 to pump refrigerant into a fairly new system only 4 years old. They did not give me an estimate before they did the repair, although I requested one. They promised to only charge $150 analyzing fee, then they would get my approval for the estimate. They only informed me afterward that the repair bill was $1128. They did not provide an itemized bill. Only after I requested one, I found out that they charged $328 for the refrigerant and $800 for the labor. That is outrageous. Also, they did only half the job, I requested them to secure vent flaps, they agreed on the phone when they took the order, the technician refused and said that he, nor his company do vents. It is a roofing company, whereas the roofing company said it was the A/C company. It has nothing to do with roofing. I have used this company for serval years, only in the past 2-3 years, quality and customer service have vastly deteriorated, and charges have more than quadrupled. Several times I left messages with staff to have a manager call me to explain inaccurate outrageous bills, with inaccurate inflated reported time on the job site, only one time (today) out of several times I received a response. Only from a conceited arrogant person who did not care about a loyal repeat customer who has been loyal for serval years. He basically said find another company!! I hope all customers know how invaluable and not appreciated they are to this company. read more

Tri County was the company I researched for new HVAC system in my home 2 years ago. Great company and techs that came out to suggest best solutions for new system. I can't recommend enough to please get the maintenance program after your 1st year. Even though they is 10 year warranty you have small fees for travel etc. I had issue with the motor at 2 years and with maintenance small fee. Great service and follow up!! We have been loyal customers with Tri County for years. last month we had flooding under the house. I called them 3 times with no reply. I also called Veteran Air and Badger Bob's who were both at our home right away. Just had another issue and contacted Tri County and Badger Bob's again. We chose Tri County air conditioning two installed a new air conditioner unit in our modular home two years ago. They did a very professional job at a competitive rate. We chose them because of the professionalism during the process of buying the air conditioner and also on recommendations from other residence in our community. We recently had them come out and inspect the unit and purchased the labor agreement. The company representative did not have English as a first language and was a bit hard to understand at times, however he did an outstanding job on the inspection and when there were questions he could not answer he called a supervisor to speak with us and resolve our questions. This company has a good reputation in this area and I would recommend it for service and or installation. read more

Our AC has been out for about 4 days now and we pay extra for within 24 hour service. The average degrees in our house is 82. We have called multiple times and they sent a person out finally just to tell us that 6 months ago, when their last guy was here, he messed up a multi thousand dollar part and it could take time until they get another one. They came out to do basic cleaning and maintenance on my air conditioning system one day later and now my heating system does not work. Something must have gone wrong because my air and heat are the same system. The heat part of my system should have received maintenance at the same time and if something was wrong it should have been brought to my attention. Now I'm being told I need a whole new system. Tri-County installed my AC/Furnace system 9 years ago. Every year I have them come out and clean and check out the system. This year the technician found a leak in the evaporator coil and replaced it under the extended warranty that I signed up for years ago at no cost to me. Had Yearly Maintenance on our 3 year old unit, great rep. We added a slow start conductor, it made sense, we are very pleased. But a few hours after service tech left, our air conditioning STOPPED working. We called and received the answering service. We did receive a call to discuss our problem and were told we are on a list for service. Remember Tri County advertises 24/7 service. Remember this was a maintenance call on a 3 year old unit that was working fine. Remember the technician had left after an 8:30am appointment same day. We called for maybe tech to come back, being a couple hours later and had just returned home from shopping and noticed our AC was not working. We then started calling and the same thing, we are on the list. About 5 pm we called to see where the service tech was, we were told we were next. No show, about 7 pm I was told they can't come tonight. (some good 24/7 service) They set an appointment for 12:30 Sunday afternoon, I called at 1 pm and was told they would be there between 2 and 4. WOW ! I couldn't make this up, Tri County is a mess. I even asked for the owner to call me, Didn't happen ... Also a note, they use texting but would not allow customers to text back... There is an old saying, You should not wear your service beliefs on your sleeve If it is not coming from your heart. read more

today was the 2nd visit by the company, and a different technician and we've been without air conditioning for the 4th day now. We purchased a 10 year warranty on the whole system when we bought it new 4 years ago and we've had to call them out 4 way times this year which each time required multiple visits, and with trip charges escalating it's getting so that the warranty is just added costs to the customer now being a holiday weekend the part won't be able to get order until tuesday which means no air for at least another 3 days. mom's 87 and I can't let her sit in 87 degree house for that kind of time - now I'll have to spend more $ we don't have for a hotel, and They've scheduled another visit by a 3rd technician for tomorrow (joy another day of waiting for a call to tell me that they're on their way), another trip charge to tell me that the compressor is not working. (I figured that out before I made the first call) they said that a third pair of eyes would definitively identify the issue, pretty upsetting read more

Tech was a good person I'm sure but was very distracted and on the phone half the time. He found refrigerant low and couldn't test for leaks so would arrange for another tech to check??? Our air conditioner quit on a Saturday. While this is never a good thing in the Florida humidity, it's even more concerning when it stops working "outside normal business hours". Not the case with Tri County! They're business line quickly gets you to their after hours team. We left a message that was returned within 15 minutes and we were assured that someone would be at our home before the end of the day. Beau Johnston showed up a couple of hours later and quickly resolved the issue. He explained everything clearly so we totally understood what happened. Purchased a new AC 3 years ago from Tri County. Compressor went out 2 weeks ago and technician said it's take 2-3 days to get a replacement. 2 weeks later, we're still waiting. Updates from from Tri-County are not reliable and when they say they'll get back to you with a status, they never do. Four years ago I contacted this company for a proposal on a new air conditioning system. They gave me three quotes on a system from good,better and the best. I selected from their proposal the best and most costly system to replace the old system that came with the house. Every year since that system was installed was nothing but problems. I scheduled maintenance as required so nothing was neglected and their tech's came out aand did the maintenance with no problems. Shortly after the maintenance, I had to have them come out for a refrigerant leak which they repair. Year two same thing another leak different spot. This A/C had other problems that required repair, the last being the compressor stop working and was kaput. By then my patience wore thin and I asked for and talk to one of their managers when I was informed my repair was to be $2400.00. A broken compressor is a big deal. It's not just a matter of replacement but the whole fluid system needs to be flushed. Received sympathy but little else. In reviewing the past four years I was perplexed as to why I went to a company to openly request a new A/C knowing that they carried mutiple brands and having presenting only one and not the best recommended. I would have purchased the best that they had. I realize it's not about the customer, but about the money. Their solution was to offer expensive warranties. I now have a brand new A/C unit (not from this company) I wasn't going to write this review, but the day before yesterday they sent me a past due bill for $95.00. That was for the last time they were here. Problem was I never recieved that invoice. Buyer beware! You can't say you weren't warned. Bought a full new AC unit and all new duct work on May 19, 2019. Have had continued issues and paid $1016.54 in repairs to my NEW unit. Now they want $1,137.00 for new duct work that was all replaced with the new unit in 2019. Seems like during all the prior visits and issues that they charged me for they could have found the issues while under warranty. When asked technician how this happens to new duct he had no answers. Asked for the owner to contact me and no response. No AC now and if we want to play this new "ridiculous" estimated repair it will be over a week. We are an elderly couple on a fixed income and are very disappointed in this company and service. I have a one star only because I have to for a review. I believe this company has been taking advantage of my elderly aunt who is a veteran. The AC that was purchased from them has had nothing but issues from day one and after paying for multiple service calls on top of that they have never fixed it. They even charged her to clean it 2 months ago and clearly did not. I finally took the day off to be here for the service call. Fortunately we had Justin who went above and beyond to fix the situation. Honestly I think he is the only worthwhile person at this company. They are lucky to have him, if we ever need service in the future we will definitely be asking for Justin. Thank you Justin for taking the time to do things right. You are awesome! read more

Woke up this morning and no air, now my air conditioner is 24 years old and everyday it works is a blessing, called tri-county at 8 am and set up for a technician to come out and check the unit, now after dealing with other AC companies I was prepared to be told that it was just shot, so about 1 hour later Steve arrived and started to look at the unit, a few minutes later he informed me that it was just a bad wire from the thermostat, Steve fixed the unit and we were up in cooling in no time. Great service in record time, Steve was awesome. And when we get ready to replace the unit, we will definitely call tri-county..... and he brought cookies, I Like Cookies. read more

Chris from Tri County Air arrived right on time and proceeded with the annual inspection of my AC unit. He was professional and personable. He clearly explained the problems--- 5 pounds down in my refrigerant (wish I could say that about my own weight) and the capacitor was not working well at all and needed replacement. He fixed these items and told me that my energy bill will definitely show improvement/decrease. These were costly items, but my unit should work well for quite some time.
