I had a true Five star experience across the board with Tri State Nissan, my salesperson Jason Johnson and others. Jason responded right at opening to my query and we conducted the majority of business over text. I explained that I needed to be in and out at the dealership because I was in the throes of a migraine. When I arrived Jason was waiting outside for me, everyone greeted me speaking softly and I spent the majority of my time there in an office with lights off, and no speaker system feeding in. I also forgot the title to my trade in and Jason picked it up from me the next day. I didn't want all the car purchase fan fare, but he did hook up my Bluetooth and even followed up the next day to see if I needed him to go over the car with me now that I wasn't compromised. I would recommend the dealership to anyone, and I would be a return customer. read more

Nissan, like a lot of automakers, is experiencing supply chain problems with semiconductor chips. As a result some Nissans do not have the chips necessary for Nissan Connect which is their version of OnStar of other similar services. This was not disclosed to me until I asked about it in the finance office. I continued with the purchase anyway; my mistake. If I had it to do over again I would have walked. The dealers needs to be more upfront about this. I have my doubts about whether or not this would have ever been disclosed to me but we will never know. One of the sales mangers told me that this was "in the public domain" clearly implying that I should have known about it and it is my fault that I didn't. If you are looking to buy a Nissan be sure to ask about this. Based on my experience I do not recommend this dealership. read more

Wow! I can't believe what I experienced. I just left this Nissan.. As I walked in, the first attendant looked at me in my eyes and proceeded to grab his phone and make a call. No greeting. I waited there for someone to serve me. Stephanie became available, she asked me to bring my car in, so as she was checking me in. She then asks to see my registration because "she couldn't read my vin number" I was baffled because no one has ever asked to see my Registration for an oil change. I asked for a manager. Kevin seen that my vin number was in fact clear and readable. Kevin then sided with Stephanie stating that, it's not an uncommon practice to ask for registrations. I just asked to be let out. Night and day compared to other Nissan service centers! Prices are reasonable, accurate with time, and the work is top quality. Will definitely be coming back. Update on 5/27/2024: I trust them even more now! Went to Tri State for scheduled service and asked them to double check a front end suspension and steering diagnostic from another shop that determined I needed new hub bearings and tie rod joints. Tri-State said I did not need that and it was probably the tires that were causing the vibration, thus saving me over $1200! They don't try and sell you things you don't need! read more

I bought a new Frontier in 2017 in addition to 5 other new trucks. This review is for the service department. I pulled to the express door and someone, I believe Martin asked me what I needed. I said I needed a tire rotation. He asked me my name and was told I was not in the system. I insisted that I was so he scanned my VIN and then again said I was not. He then rudely told me it was at least a one hour and forty five minute wait. I pointed to the express service sign and he shrugged. I said no thanks and drove ten minutes to a wonderful shop and drove out fifteen minutes later and probably much cheaper. Guess I'll deal where I'm in the system. read more

My parents purchased 3 vehicles from Tri State Nissan over the past 15 years. Their most recent purchase was a new Altima in February of 2022. In October, with less than 8k miles on the Continental tires that came at purchase, the back passenger side tire exploded. As one would expect, my parents were very uncomfortable to continue driving on the other 3 remaining Continental tires. After bringing the exploded tire into the dealership they were told it would be sent to Continental and a reimbursement was possible. Fast forward a month later, there was little communication and the tire was still at the dealership. Nothing had been done as promised. After I raised the issue, the general manager called to see what could be done and offered to provide Michelin tires at cost with no labor ($90). Unfortunately, the charge $868 was still higher than getting the same tires from other local distributors (Eddie's Tires, Costco etc). They had a chance to make things right and didn't come through... and we've been loyal customers for years. Tri-State has treated me so good! I purchased my first brand new car, a 2019 Nissan Sentra, from them in March 2020. E.T. was the salesman that really sold me on the car. He was super knowledgeable about the vehicle, answered my endless questions, negotiated reasonable deals with me (which typically doesn't happen at car dealerships), and made my car buying experience personal and not so nerve wrecking. He definitely exceeded my expectations for how smoothly buying my first car would go. Since initially purchasing my car, I have been back to Tri-State for my regular servicing and such and they have went above and beyond to meet my wants and needs. They have awesome servicing hours and you don't have to have an appointment or have all day to get a servicing done, they get you in and out very fast. Recently, I went in for my regular oil change and they made me aware of a recall on my vehicle, even know they were pretty busy, they still were able to get done in about 30 mins! If you are looking to purchase a brand new or a new-to-you car, I highly recommend Tri-State Nissan. Not only are they super polite, they genuinely strive to make their clients satisfied. They have never talked down to me which I appreciate. I saw another review that said to bring a man so you don't get cheated. Really? I think that has more to do with the customer being uncomfortable asking questions than needing a man because on one of my visits I met one of the owners who is female. These guys are just wonderful. I am greeted at my car. I am escorted to my car when I am done. I am treated honestly, respectfully and fairly. After many past experiences at places where this was not the case, I choose to give Tri-State Nissan my business. The entire staff at the dealership was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. At no point during my visits did I feel any type of pressure, which made the experience that much better. My Infiniti overheated and I took it to Tri State. They charged me nearly $3K to replace the radiator. Just over a week later the care overheated the same way and I had it towed back there. They said now its the cooling fans that caused it. Todd said that the cooling fans were fine when it was there a week prior. Now they want to charge me nearly $1K and about a week to of time to fix it. When I asked why they didn't make sure everything was functioning when they had it the first time- Todd again said that the fans were working. I asked Todd if the radiator really needed replaced or was it the fans the whole time...and Todd said "We've been in business 50 years- we wouldn't have replaced it if it didn't need it". He really didn't answer my question and it certainly is odd that one week the radiator needs fixed and the next week the cooling fans. read more

I bought a used Nissan Frontier from them and when it developed a "bad sensor" in the fuel line (which I did purchase a warranty) they said it wasn't covered and I had to pay hundreds. After taking it back for schedule maintance, then they found multiple issues and said I needed to pay hundreds again to fix. This dealership and Nissan is a rip off i traded this Nissan (owned less than 2 years) and went back to my trusted auto brand. Will never recommend them or Nissan again. I recently purchased a Titan XD Diesel here during the COVID-19 pandemic in late April 2020. I shopped online in a 150 mile radius and found the best deal here. Their deal beat all other offers by a very large amount and the out-the-door quote was exactly what I paid when I arrived. They cleaned, wiped, provided Chlorox wipes, and hand sanitizer cleaning every 4 hours. I appreciated that very much! My salesman, Frank Hubbard, was friendly, excellent at answering all my questions and got us in and out in a very short time. Highly recommend seeing him. Good guy to deal with. The finance experience was also very easy and Julius was excellent with the process making it very smooth and quick! In summary, I'd go back again and I highly recommend the dealership if you're shopping around. I didn't trade my vehicle in and am selling it myself because my trade was undervalued in my opinion, but hey I saved a considerable amount of money for a very high quality truck! I bought a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SV new, with the best warranty plan, from here in October of 2018. Within a month. It started pulling to the right, I took it in to here. The alignment on the front right tire went out. They supposedly fixed it. I drive it another 2 months and it started pulling to the right. I take it bake, and the same issue with same tire out of alignment in the same direction at about the same amount. I ask them to fix it, but they say it will cost me out of pocket. They said the warranty only covers regular annual services. They wanted way too much to do the service, so I took it to my mechanic. They fixed the alignment. I contacted Nissan corporate and file a complaint. Never heard back. Ive had to take it to my mechanic 2 other times for an alignment and its always the same tire. And, it's currently out of alignment and going through tires like crazy. 3 sets since I bought it. Tri-state has done nothing but try to wring money out of me and have provided no "care" as they claim to do. Im trying to sell this car asap! I will never buy another Nissan or shop at Tri-state Nissan. If it isn't covered by a warranty, they dont care if its broke and that you have to pay for it. My advice is, if you must buy from here, choose the lowest warranty because you will be paying out of pocket for repairs that they should fix anyway. read more

We all know that buying a car can be less than a fun experience... Well I have to say, the staff at Tri-State and our salesman Alex Gutierrez proved that wrong. It was time to replace our 10 year old SUV and I wanted to check around and see what the choices looked like. I didn't want to be "sold" or pushed but I did want some information on the Nissan products. I was kindly greeted by Alex at the door and we talked about what we were looking for in an SUV. I made it clear that I was gathering information and didn't want to be pushed. We chose the Rogue and took it for a quick test drive. I thanked him and was on my way. We didn't discuss anything but what I had ask about. I told him that I would talk to my wife and may bring her back if we wanted to move forward. He thanked me and ask me to call him if I had any additional questions. WHAT, that's it... no let me appraise your trade, no let's run numbers, No we need to set a return date/time. Just "Thanks for coming in". We came back that night took another ride, did some numbers and bought our 2016 Rogue. Jeremey (Sales Director) worked hard to meet our needs. Troy Jackson (F&I) Made the money part a joy (0% interest for 72 months). Derek Burell (Service Advisor) set up an appointment to install a different mirror. This is the way it should be. I've been coming to TriState Nissan for about a year now to get my ( 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5s) serviced that I bought at one of there sister locations (Marlow ford) my entire time of owning the car I've never paid no more than $50 dollars for a tire rotation & oil change. The service advisor was quick to get my car in and out but the invoice was wayyyyyy more than what it normally was. Luckily had Two invoices from my previous services there. I then went and showed the clerk and she immediately went and told me to have the advisor fix my ticket because she knew something wasn't right. Well the man then started to show very unneeded aggression which pissed me off even more. But then had the nerve to blame the clerk for not adding a rewards account that I was never notified about when it was his fault that he never checked over if I the owner of the car even had any specials discounts. Then proceeded to tell me that the next time I visit the total will be 73 something. I'm sorry but I'll never Over pay that amount if you can't stay true to your prices. My first time visiting the dealership to even get my first oil change wasn't that expensive. But someone else will satisfy my service needs. Other than that the hours of the business were very accommodating for my work schedule but there people are a little to extra to fairly rude. I took my Infinity for repair on January 06, 2021 and was told by Mr. Riggleman that an oil leak needed to be fixed along with a new catalytic converter. He said the converter parts will have to be ordered and I will be called when the parts arrived for fixing. I went ahead with the leak repair (quoted $700 but end up paying $1268). I waited for the call for the converter to be fixed but never got one. I called and left messages to no avail. I even called and left message for the service manager to call me but nothing happened. I finally went in person and talked to Mr. Riggleman on February 05, 2021 as to why he never call or return my calls. He was cavalier about my complain and I wonder how Tri-State makes money when they have employee who care less about pursuing leads in a competitive business. I enjoyed my car buying experience at Tri-State Nissan. No, I wasn't there for a Nissan, but they had a Chevy Cruze LTZ I was interested in. Met Steven Downing, who let me drive a really nice Chevy Malibu (really wanted THAT one) in the Used Car a lot, but by the time we came back from the Cruze test drive, the Malibu was already sold (How do they sell cars so fast?). Spoke with the staff and we were walking back to our car to go home when the Sales Manager kind of stopped me in my tracks with an amazing offer. I thought about it for a moment, and said yes, I'll take the Chevy Cruze. Tri-State deals primarily in Nissans. I appreciate how they took care of me and got me financing better than Navy Fed (!!!). I purchased a used car from Tri-state Nissan. I thought they were a reputable dealer and not some fly by night, side of the road dealer. Wrong!! I drove a long way to test drive and purchase this vehicle. Another mistake! They know they have you over a barrel when your at a distance. Upon my return of the test drive I informed my salesperson that the AC system did not work at all. They took the car into service and came back to say there was an open valve that allowed all of the refrigerant to leak out, but had been fixed and recharged. I tested it and it worked great. Five days later it was dead and blowing hotter air than the outside temperature. I called and emailed to the manager. He got back to me late the following day to say..."there's nothing we can do about it. You bought it!" So much for a good reputation when they stated that they "fixed" the problem!! They are just as bad as those other "dealers"!! Put a bandaid on it and push it out the door and when it fails 5 days later its tough luck!!!! Well, that is not the type of place that earns my business ever!! And, I hope that many of you read this and understand that this is NOT a reputable car dealer!! Dont be fooled!! PS. There are other issues with the car that should not have allowed them to put a good inspection sticker on the window either!!! read more

I normally take my pickup over a hour away to Frederick because of tri state Nissan is the biggest rip off, take advantage of the customer, nickle and dine you! Too truck to get a oil change this morning against my better judgment to take it to Winchester, asked to look at why the truck didn't have heat at idle, they wanted an extra $65 on top of that, before they even fixed anything, really!!!! Took it to another local shop where they don't charge u $65 just to say what is wrong or what is needed, Have had issues in the past with tri state where u take a vehicle in just for a simple oil change and they tell u it needs everything from a-z, I have watched them take advantage of older women that don't know any better that they do or don't need a service and charge them a arm and a leg for it, I wouldn't recommend tri-state for anything read more

I have purchased 6 new Nissans over the years with the first in 2000 with plans to buy a new Murano this year. Probably from another dealership somewhere else. I had always been happy with the service department until the past couple of years. I have been lied to twice now and extremely over priced on parts and labor. I purchased a 2019 Frontier with 18,000 miles from a used car dealer and on Sep. 20th, 2020 I took it to Tri-State Nissan for a warranty repair and was told that it needed an air filter, $39, a cabin filter, $56 and a brake fluid flush, $149. They said the brake fluid was dirty with 20,000 miles. Well at Advanced auto I purchased the air filter for $15, and the cabin filter for $10. Then I went to Midas and had the tech check my brake fluid and was assured that it had no problems. Lie number one! Then on Aug 4th, 2020. I went to Tri-State Nissan and asked how much it would cost to put fog lights on my frontier. I was quoted in writing a total of $949.31. Parts total was quoted at $563.75, sales tax on that at $29.88 and labor was quoted at $355.68. When I asked why so much, the mechanic that I was told would be the one that would do the job, told me that he would have to pull the steering wheel to install the new signal light switch on the column. In December I decided to research fog lights on line and found that I could purchase the parts for $220.00 and that I could do the job myself with step by step directions on U-Tube. Guess what, you don't have to pull the steering wheel at all, lie number two! In fact I installed my completely functional fog lights in 45 minutes. I wanted to go to Tri-State Nissan and complain, but I didn't figure I'd find anyone who really cares with way that business is being run now. read more

Staff was pretty courteous except for maybe the manager. The salesperson was also very knowledgeable. The down point here was that I was buying a car based on price and these guys don't negotiate on the price beyond what they initially state. Later when I checked, the same car was cheaper on the internet. Come here if you want to pay near MSRP for a car or want to learn about it. Came in for emmission light being on. They check it and it needs the emission canister replace. They make an appointment for the next day. I drive back down from WV Panahandle, sit for a while, they come in and tell me the part is not in. They give me a rental for the day and keep the car. I wait all day the next day for the call and end up having to call myself to see when ready. Pick up car drive it home. Within two to three days emission light is back on. Drive down once again, third time charm right? No it needs another part that they have to order. Service guy says call next day if I have t heard anything by 11:30 am. Make the call and wait, wait, wait, finally get the call back after 2pm to schedule appt for next day. Make appt for 11am. Ring the car in and the service guy can't find the appt at first. Finally finds it so here I sit. Fifth time in two weeks driving to and from the panhandle of WV. I was told it would only take one to one and half hours to fix. I hope so since I have another appt at 1. Wondering why this cap was not noticed the first time around. read more

Well I put a review on Nissan in Winchester Virginia. Got a reply by a manager. Left a message she called me back. I requested my money back for the service that I had done on my car. Because it took five different service people before one found what was really wrong with my car. I had a Nissan Sentra 2015. At 65,000 mi it needed a new transmission. And the last time that I was at Nissan just recent. I was told that the noise coming out of my car was the transmission again another 65,000 mi on the new transmission. But nobody could figure that out the first time. I was told the noise was coming from under the hood was a broken clip so I believe that cost maybe $100 because they didn't charge to replace it but I had to pay for the part also motor mount another $400. Then the last and final time cost me $245 so they can run a diagnostic on it. I recently had to sell my car and I still owed money on it for another year. Because the noise was still there and was told that it could be the transmission. Never thought I had to buy a new car in 4 years I purchased it in 2016 and I was the only owner to that car. I should not had to buy a new car nor get ready to replace another transmission. But I was told I was going to get a call back from the service manager, his manager. I haven't heard anything. I guess they thought I forgot. but I did call the first manager I spoke to and still have not heard back from her yet as well. read more

The perfect dealership if you want to be treated POORLY, be LIED to, and have your time WASTED!! I drove through their lot on a Sunday, and called Monday to follow up about a vehicle listed but not on the lot. I was told it was back in detail, but that I could come look at it. On Thursday I was called and again asked about coming to look at it since Id said it was my day off. On Thursday night I arrived at the dealership to find out the car has never been at the dealership!! The salesman ET gets a manager for me. They assure me as soon as it reaches the lot I will be called, PLUS if I can't come look at it around my work schedule they will bring it to my work for me to look at it! Imagine my disappointment when I get a call 8 DAYS later. At 10am I am told I have until 6pm to come and look at it because they've already shown it to someone and they want to buy it! When I am confused about the situation ET says "You don't want me to look for anything else do you?" Then is PISSED when I asks how likely ot is hed find something similar?! This is by far the most ridiculously bad service I've ever experienced!! They must be doing outstanding business somehow because they were quick to DISMISS mine!! read more
