Came in on schedule time to pick up and purchase my car. When I was there, there was a lot of steps of waiting, but the people at this location were very thoughtful and country hospitality - offering various beverages throughout the process, offering nice conversations, balloons to the child with us, and thanking us for choosing Malloy. I would recommend making the drive to work with employees here and I plan too whenever the opportunity arises that our family would need a vehicle again. We brought our car to Malloy for an oil change and tire rotation, which is on our prepaid service plan with Toyota. I don't know if it was because we are old, or that our car had PA plates, or both... but we got taken big time. We were told by the technician that our brakes were shot, totally rusted out with no pads, when a month ago the service department at Toyota of Scranton (who we have been going to for decades and who have earned our complete trust) told me our brakes were like new. We passed on the brake job. Then he showed us a picture of a furniture tack that appeared to be the size of a quarter that was impaled in our tire at the edge where the tread meets the sidewall. He said it was actually in the sidewall and could not be repaired. We stupidly accepted his explanation and the angle of his picture instead of asking to actually see the tire. We purchased a new tire at the tune of $312 because we were embarking on a six hour trip the following day. We asked the technician to put the damaged tire in the hatchback. When we paid and retrieved our car, we flipped the hatchback and saw that the tack, which looked enormous in his picture, was actually less than the size of a dime and was actually in the side of the substantial tread (being a new and high-end tire to begin with) and was in maybe an eighth of an inch at best! This was not even something that needed to be repaired. It was not worth it to us to go in and argue about this, but you can be sure that we will never set foot in this rip-off dealership again. The kicker is, that while the tire was being replaced, we were on the lot with one of their salesmen looking to buy a 2026 Highlander Hybrid Platinum for approximately $58k. The numbers looked right and I submitted a credit app. The next response was that the truck was sold and my credit wasn't run, which was a total lie because I got a email from my bank that someone ran my credit. Probably one of the worst new car buying experiences I've ever had. I would suggest going to Martinsburg or Hagerstown, just not Malloy. The sales man and his sidekick were cocky and uninformed. I asked them to remove the Malloy badging off the back of the car (which I do with all cars) and they didn't do it. They said "it just pulls off". I would think if you're spending $58,000 on a car they could "pull it off". The finance person was less than desirable to work with as well and tried to over charge on a Toyota extended warranty. There are many other reasons not to buy your car from this dealership. There are too many other Toyota dealers out there to waste your time (and money) with this one. read more

The experience with salesperson was wonderful but when I worked with the finance person it was horrible. The finance person blatantly lied and put on multiple contracts/agreements that I didn't agree to. I was able to get this removed from Toyota Financial Services but the dealership did nothing to help. I even reached out to the general manager at Malloy who just ignored my email and didn't return my phone call. Perhaps this was a bad experience because of the one finance person but regardless I'll never buy from this dealership again. They knew I was there looking at a new vehicle while I was having my truck inspected so they decided to come up with bogus repairs needed on my truck to entice me to get rid of it and buy a replacement vehicle from them. read more

I traded my truck in Memorial Day weekend 2025. I called Malloy Toyota to start the process of getting a refund for my extended vehicle protection plan. I was told by the finance rep that I needed a lien release document before I could get a refund. I called several days later and another finance rep sent me an online link to cancel my vehicle protection Plan. I feel that I was lied to and misled by the first person I spoke to, and this wasn't the first time I have been lied to at a Malloy dealership. I drove all the way to a dealership in Charlottesville, Virginia, only to find out that the car I was interested in didn't exist anymore. My wife and I were told over the phone before we left for Charlottesville that the car was there waiting. Do not use any Malloy dealership. They will lie to you in every way to make a sale. I have been traveling down I-81 in my 2024 Sienna. My tire pressure light came on. When I purchased my car less than a year ago in Maryland, I was told it had "run flat" tires. I assumed I could go a few miles to the next exit. When I stopped at a station and 2 tire stores I was told they would only put on a run flat tire and that it was unsafe to put on any other. None of them carried the tire. I was towed, tried every tire store within 40 miles and ended up at Malloy Toyota. Elizabeth L. patiently listened to my story. They were very busy but she said she would do her best to have them squeeze me in. Matt Bell overheard our conversation and asked if he could go out and look at my van. He returned and told me that I was mislead and I do not have Run Flat tires and they would absolutely have my tire replaced today. I wasted 4 hours today due to the misinformation I received when I purchased my car and not finding a place with the knowledge to know the identification # of my tire was not that of a "run flat" tire. It was such a relief to find people who truly wanted to help me and not just sell me 4 tires when I only needed one. I was reminded there are still kind honest people in the car business! I called them about certifying a truck they had posted on cars.com or autotrader.com. They first said no, then a minute later they said yes. The tacoma had an aftermarket lift on it, according to the salesman. I hung up and called Toyota to question them about certifying a lifted truck, noting that it was an aftermarket lift. Toyota indicated that if i lifted it, it could not be certified. I then asked how a dealer could certify a lifted truck. Toyota said they couldn't. I leave it to you to make your own conclusion about this dealership, but i would give then a negative star review. read more

Made appointment for shocks, could not be done that day. Made arrangements for my 19 yr old daughter to bring car back the next day ( 62 mile drive). I sent my daughter with a check, which they would not accept as it was over $200. She was able to use my visa with a $20 surcharge. In very small print on the invoice, it is written that they only take cash! For a bill over $700! The service agent knew I was sending my daughter, and did not point out to me that she would need to pay in cash! Oh, and work started 2 hours after the appointment time. Service department lies about needed repairs. Had exhaust looked at by an independent shop and they said there is nothing wrong with it. No leaks, no damage and not corroded. Malloys so called "master mechanic" lied.about finding an exhaust leak . I will NOT purchase a new or used vehicle or use any service department under the name Malloy! Crooked business. If you take your vehicle here and they say they found something wrong don't trust them get a second shop to look at it. You could save hundreds or thousands by not having to pay for unnecessary repairs. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This was my experience of what I observed at Malloy Toyota in Winchester, VA yesterday that turned me off from buying from a backwards culture. The problem is with the sales managers at Malloy that look you in the eye, smirk and lie to your face which was very insulting. During my short time there I observed them treating their diverse staff like peasants, by threatening them in front of their customers which is very demeaning to them and makes for a hostile environment. From their ease of doing this they think this is an acceptable behavior which it is not, especially in this day and age. This behavior must be encouraged as the sales managers in turn do the same to their customers by having their employees lie to get you in front of them. I was a loyal preferred customer but after yesterday observing this unacceptable behavior and then in turn being insulted by them was also demeaning as they did this open and free in front of their staff and other customers. Their weak attempt to strong arm through false statements and treating you as ifyou are stupid was a real turn off. I did politely leave and will never go back to Malloy Toyota in Winchester, VA, ever!! They lost a good, loyal, preferred customer which does not seem to be of any concern to them. This behavior will catch up to them in the future as it always does. My advice to the owner is to open their eyes, observe their managers in their environment and not just look at the bottom line. While there, I also observed Couples who did buy a vehicle leave shell shocked and unhappy as you could see in their face that they were not happy with the experience and what just happened to them. At the time of my observance these customers were senior citizens and a single mom who just wanted a reliable car which Toyota brings. Not Toyota's fault just bad people selling their product. I did get called the next day by one of their sales managers who apologized, agreed this was unacceptable behavior and that he was going to look into my case. At time of post I never heard back from him. Not surprised as other customers have had similar experiences. Mr. Barnum said a sucker is born every day but not me at least not that day. Good advice for new buyers. Don't get any of this extra packages they offer, they just don't honor what they offer. I add a protection plan for my tires and rims and according what the girl said is that this will cover any damages in the tires, if the tire gets nail they will replace the tire not patching, guess what, they just patch the tire and also charge me for it. Brand new car 2024 6 months old the car started vibrating when I pass the 60 mph they told me that I have to replace the tires since the car reach 15000 Milles. Replace a defective tires because that what it is a defective tires in a brand new car. This protection plan that suppose to cover everything that happens in the tires don cover shit. even when the terms said that they will. This what it said. the coverage provided by this agreement will reimburse the cost associated with the replacement of a tire or a wheel that is attached to the vehicle and damaged as a result of operational or structural failure due to a defect in material or workmanship. since 3 months after I purchase this vehicle the car have this problem whit the tires and they have the records of the services they made by the master technician. First car I purchased was in a accident but wasn't told when I asked. I purchased it and found out it was in a horrible accident. The back and back door was replaced and when it rained my car seat in the back were wet. I took it back and they insisted I must of left my windows open. One of the machinists that worked there said there nothing w can do. The back window was put in wrong and the back sits we're getting wet. I called the manager and told him what was going on and then they replaced the window. I was not happy taking advantage of people that doesn't know much about cars. I felt unsafe in this car. Update on my post 5 months ago. Yes I was absolutely correct My FJ failed because of a quarter sized circular indent in the windshield. Then quoted a outrageous amount to replace windshield. I took it to 3 different certified car insp. All three said there was no reason to reject my vehicle. The third place I took it to I had new tires and also had it inspected and guess what. It passed. Only reason Malloy failed it in my opinion was to get more money out of me. A once loyal customer who bought the vehicle there and took it in religiously for preventive maintenance. The entire process was smooth and pleasant, something rarely said when buying a vehicle. Everything from the color, trim, and accessories were exactly what I wanted, and the out-the-door price was fair and beat every other dealer in northern Virginia. So the 80-mile drive was well worth my time. When we arrived early Saturday, David was waiting with the 4Runner and I was in and out in less than 90 minutes (including a thorough review of the vehicle and signing the requisite paperwork). I also really appreciate that after declining extra protection, I was not pressured to reconsider. Worked with Max DeCarlo on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma because they had the exact vehicle I was looking for. I worked with Max Saturday & even Sunday. He knew I was serious about this purchase. I sent him a copy of my driver's license. I even filled out the financing online and let him know when I was finished with it on Sunday (And you know people don't fill out an application for a loan if they are just looking. So he knew I was serious about this vehicle). I even mentioned how much I would be put down. We didn't hear from him for a day or two, even though we tried to contact him. came to get my oil change and decided to buy a new Tundra Capstone and my overall experience was unsatisfactory. The sold me the truck out of the show room with scratches on the rear passenger bumper and never disclosed to me prior to purchasing of the truck which means they were hiding it and told me after I purchase the vehicle. They disclosed it to me the following day when I came over to drop off my trade in vehicle keys. I am glad they told me but this defect should of been disclosed before purchasing of the vehicle. I had to drop off my new vehicle to the body shop for repair work and now I'm sitting here waiting to get a loaner and I am basically ignored and not being serviced. This dealership only here to make money, they can care less about the customers and the service they provide. I will never do business with them again, and for any service I will make sure to take it somewhere else. I had my vehicle inspected there last year with no issues but failed inspection this year because LED bulbs were installed in the fog lamps. In review of the regulations there is nothing that supports their position that only halogen lamps were approved, but they maintained that it's was rejected. The reg does state that the fog lamps must be approved, but under the reg approval is for lens color by location and not bulb type. The only requirement for bulb type is for headlamps. I ended up paying $240 even with some discounts for lamps and wiper blades (which the blades were original so I was ok with that). They informed me while there that their bulb prices match what I can find in an auto parts store locally. After approving and getting the bill I see they charged me $67 for bulbs when I can get a two pack of Sylvania or Phillips bulbs for under $30. When I spoke to the state police they said it was the inspectors call and advised whatever the manual covered but the reg makes no such reference to parts manuals for obvious reasons. I spoke to two other shops and two techs since who said they would have no issues and was really surprised by this considering I installed the LED bulbs in 2017 when I bought the truck new in WV and never had an issue until now. Very disappointed considering even though they were decent to speak with they didn't seem to have any regard for my position on the matter or even read over the reg with me. My wife and I had been discussing upgrading her car to a Highlander in the future since our family grew and will say it will not be purchased there when the time comes. read more

I brought my own tires to have mounted, balanced and was talked in to an alignment. Three hours later, it was finished, to the tune of $200. I had my car in for some standard services like an oil change, vehicle inspection, etc. and in addition other more major work when necessary. I have always put faith in my Toyota dealership maintenance but this facility does not follow their own criteria for performing a good job. For instance didn't know how to reset the maintenance indicator after an oil change, they said that they inflated the tires to the right level they did not all 4 were at least 4 pounds under the recommended level. It is a shame that one cannot trust a once trusted resource. read more

Doesn't seem fair when Malloy Toyota is adding $3000 more to the full factory list price that already has a fair commission in for the dealership. The move is just a money grab. read more

A lifelong resident of the Vienna/Fairfax area, I moved to the country near Winchester to escape the world crisis. I had taken my 2019 Corolla SE to Malloy Toyota for full service several times. After a major deer strike imploding the windshield and collapsing the roof, Malloy Collision Center, after some $12K in repairs sent my car over to Malloy Toyota for final systems checks and alignment. The work performed at Malloy Collision was an absolute, endless nightmare to put it mildly. So I contacted the Service Mgr at Malloy Toyota by email and phone basically begging for personal oversight and personal observations on quality control during the time my car would be in the Toyota Service Dept. for these systems checks and alignment. This Service Mgr called me before and after the systems checks. The Chief Operating Officer of Malloy Auto Group, the General Manager of Malloy Toyota, and the Service Manager of Malloy Toyota had all been supplied and discussed the $12K invoice of collision work invoiced. The SAME DAY I picked up my repaired car, after prior systems checks at both Malloy Collision and Malloy Toyota, I was exposed to concentrated, noxious fumes trapped in my closed car; I got stuck with glass in the fingers (same thing later happened to a Toyota Service Advisor!); and then when I turned on the defroster as it was raining, I got blasted with fine glass dust in the eyes and face with immediate, intense pain and inflammation of the eyes!!! The horror of repeatedly flushing my eyes in the shower in pain for an hour is indescribable. The owner of a third party body shop, an expert, commented there was no way his shop would return a car with glass dust all over the interior like mine and vents full of glass dust to be blasted into the customer's eyes like mine. He went on to point out and describe poor workmanship, and deposited glass particulates everywhere on the car's interior surfaces. Clear coat over dirt was pointed out by this expert. Again, glass debris everywhere brought reactions of shock and disbelief from this expert.. Even shards of glass in the door pulls just waiting to inflict more injury were pointed out. The list of quality control deficiencies are almost endless. An ERIE Insurance executive with expert level body shop experience came to Malloy Collision Center three times as he was so disturbed by repair failure events. The remaining focus of contention is the injury to my eyes and the pain and suffering, and why this happened, to prevent it happening again and injuring others. I've filed requests for investigations with the NHTSA, VA Attorney General, and Toyota Corp.. I was awarded short term disability over eye injury and medical treatments, triggered especially by the four steroid eye injections on 7/11: "We advised that our nurses reviewed the information received in the 125 pages of records and that we were able to approve your claim from 7/11/2022 to 8/1/2022 based on your eye condition being your disabling factor." My consulting counsel, a former claims attorney for ERIE Insurance, expertly placed the value of my eye injuries, pain and suffering requiring a total of five medical treatment visits conservatively at $30,000 after his fees and costs were satisfied. Selling my restored car allegedly at a profit under highly, highly suspicious, misrepresented, advertising as NO ACCIDENT that has amazingly received no comments whatsoever, and then selling a new vehicle to me at a low margin, by no means makes me whole. Yes, you read that correctly: Malloy Toyota allegedly advertised my car with over $12K in accident repair as "NO ACCIDENT." I have the screenshot of this untruthful advertising. Malloy Toyota Winchester needs to own up to their mistakes. Malloy Toyota Service as well as Malloy Collision Center BOTH missed the fine glass dust in the defroster system ducts/vents that blew into my eyes causing injury and suffering. read more

Went to pick up a part after being told I could pick it up any day over the phone when I ordered it. Apparently parts dept is closed on Sunday. Was not told this. Only day I could pick up part (I work night shift) was a Sunday. Treated rudely and was asked condescendingly if I could pick it up on my way in to work another day. No, I work long night shifts as a nurse and need my sleep before going in. Rude and disrespectful employees. Was in the market for a new vehicle but definitely won't be getting it here! read more
