Due to circumstances beyond my control, my car needed auto body work twice this year. Both times I took it to Tri-Valley auto body. I am so happy I chose them. First, whoever answers the phone is always so pleasant and helpful. They find a time for you to bring your car by on the first phone call. No calling back-and-forth or waiting for them to return calls. Secondly, If you're working with insurance, like I was, they have the process down to a science. They get it all under control and manage everything. Thirdly, they COMMUNICATE. I was kept informed on the status of my repair work and my insurance the entire time. I did not have to chase them down to find out what was going on. And finally, The repair work was done perfectly. I have been happy both times with not only the appearance of the repair work but the mechanisms (backup cameras, remote controls, lights,etc). And the icing on the cake was they washed my car! On Monday, someone broke my driver side window of my car as it was parked in my designated spot outside my apartment. It was very stressful but, later that day, it was in the capable hands of Tri-Valley Auto Body. Not only were they super kind but they made sure I was fully informed of the work they would be doing and how much it would cost. They even called ahead so my rental car company would be there to pick me up. I was told it may take 2-3 days but the very next day, they let me know it was ready for me. My car was hit on the freeway by a large/thick plank of wood that lodged at my car. It was already upsetting enough to have to deal with paying the deductible for this collision which wasn't my fault at all. I was recently rear ended by a hit-and-run driver. Fortunately I was not hurt. I took my car here to get it repaired. The shop did a pretty good job in the repairs. Here is the reason for the 1 star. I had a special request that they hold on to the old bumper. CHP needs it as evidence as they have a suspect for the hit-and-run. I asked Andrew very specifically I still needed the old bumper before any repair was done. He said he would make sure the shop holds on to it. The day I picked up the car, the old bumper was no where to be found. Andrew swears it's in some pile in the back, but their guy in charge of the pile ain't there. So I left without the bumper. Called back 2nd day, he says their vendor might have taken it (whatever that means). Called back 3rd day, he says the vendor don't have it, but they don't have it either, so they're looking again. Called back on Day 5 and he's still looking. I've been really patient with them but at this point I'm forced to think they're not gonna find it. It feels like they just forgot about my request, and are either scrambling afterwards to find it or are just telling me BS. I mean, it's not that hard to hold on to something. Now this crucial piece of evidence is lost and I may never recover my deductible. I blame the shop for this! Other minor issues that irked me about this shop: Throughout the whole process, the shop never initiated any contact with me. I had to call them to get any kind of update. They didn't even call me to tell me my car was ready. They also didn't have a slot for me til close to 2 weeks later. Initial estimate was on 2/2, and they could not fit me in til 2/15. Not sure if this is the norm for body shops. Store hours are not good for those that have a regular day job. They only open M-F 8 to 5, closed Sat and Sun. Not at all recommended. I'll be going elsewhere in the future. Lots of other options in Livermore. read more

This was after my dealership, who did not treat me well, insisted the only fix was to replace the entire door for $1,200. This is a family run business and they all treated me with respect and were all very cordial. The guys that I met during write-up and follow-ups were David and J.R. Both were very knowledgeable and gave me an accurate assessment of my car. The entire staff was friendly and customer service skills were top notched. The quality of the work was second to none. I've been around to many body shops from San Jose, to Tracy, to even to body shops down in southern CA. Not many compare to Tri-Valley. The gaps between my driver's door and the front quarter panel and the rear door were all very even and super flush. Windows were tight and no wind noise. The paint color was a perfect match between the newly replaced parts and the originals. I couldn't even tell this car was in an accident. My car today seems to look better than when I bought it 3 years ago. I was very happy with the way the car looked. The location of the shop is ideal and easy to find. There is even an Enterprise car rental dealer right next door which made it very convenient for me. I highly recommend Tri-Valley Auto Body for the quality work and great customer service. read more

My brand new 2012 F150 truck was hit by some idiot on the freeway. Lots of damage on the whole drivers side. Bent my front left wheel in and bent some suspension parts. Tri Valley Auto Body was in State Farms user list for my repair. I researched them and they sounded great. Andrew was my main guy. I also met one of the owners named George. I spoke to several other who were all super cool. Andrew was super honest, accurate, timely and thourough. Im very picky about my truck and all i can say is WOW! They did an outstanding job with the repair. The paint was unbelievable. I cant see anything ever happened to my truck. The repair was supposed to take 4 weeks. They knocked it out in 2.5. Several years ago I had an unfortunate experience with their mechanical repair on my front end. In retrospect, while it was a very serious problem, it could have happened at any shop. They obviously had a careless person "finish the electrical job". Today I went back with some bumper problems. A box flew off a truck on Dublin Blvd. and cracked my front fender a bit and scratched the paint. I also had been hit in a parking lot by what appeared to be a white truck, damaging the paint on my rear bumper. The owner recognized me, apologized for the previous problem, and saved me a State Farm claim by fixing the paint damage with some special paint remover and offering me a bottle of "touch up" in my color. I was amazed he remembered me, he was so nice, too. He did ask me to "amend" my pan of his business on Yelp, and I am doing it. No employer can screen perfectly for all perfect employees, and no one is perfect all the time. read more

I was recommended through my insurance company to come to this location in Livermore and my wife who had previously gone here to get work done on an older car. My first time here was totally worth researching. I had missed my appointment earlier in the day at 8 in the morning so I thought I would stop by to reschedule. Even though they have been booked out for weeks, Rob was able to do the estimate right there and set me up with an appointment to get the work done. He was efficient and explained everything with me to make sure I was comfortable with the work that was going to be done. He also took care of getting ahold of the insurance company for me to get the ball rolling and get me my car back as soon as possible. The actually environment was a typical car like shop which had some ware with the flooring and bathroom but that's not what I was there for. So this review is long overdue, but I've got to share just how much I LOVE this place! This is the only place I have ever (& will ever) bring my Dodge Challenger for all it's auto body needs. I've had to bring my car here several times & they always take such good care of it. I've never been disappointed. They always go the extra mile as well. Just this last time my car was in for some front bumper repair (pretty sure that's what it was - I may be calling it the wrong thing lol) and they kindly changed both of my rear blinkers! That is a task I had been dreading & putting off since they weren't completely burned out, just blinking really fast. So that was greatly appreciated. They also gave my car a detailed wash, including vacuuming the inside of it. I choose this shop from the list of approved repair shops because of the good reviews on yelp and it was a convenient location for me. An added plus was that I got my rental car from Enterprise which is right next door.
