    King Cut Prime Rib

A fun retro place with an excellent menu value priced prime rib and low price drinks nothing fancy about this place just good old home style food Served with a smile

The large prime rib. Rare of course.

Best prime rib around and very affordable! Everything is a little on the rare side so if you want it more on the done side order it medium.

Baked potato condiments. Butter, sour cream, and bacon bits

Was told to come here by a fishing guide. He was right. Service was great, food was terrific. Next visit is a must.

It's.ace had really good prime rim on. Saturday nights and good beef stew old school place my family that lives up there took me there

The divine and creamy ranch makes up for the lady chefs steaming pile of schit attitude. I enjoy their food stuffs regardless.

    Do they serve alcohol?

Yes, there's a bar attached to the restaurant where you can also eat dinner if you like. The prime rib is to die for- but watch out for the horseradish- it's way hot!

From the brick walls, to the cowboy accents, dark wood beams in the ceilings and animal heads on the wall, it seems a little kitschy but it's really not. I never heard about this place until they posted on Facebook looking for people to lunch with them and I'm so incredibly happy I lunched. We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess with a "sit anywhere you want" and a huge smile. We picked a nice little two-seater in the corner. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced with an assortment of mouth watering options like a hot pastrami sandwich, chicken bacon ranch sandwich, burgers, you name it...all coming with chips and a choice of side. A steal for all that food! I ordered the Hot pastrami sandwich with chips and a side salad, hubby got the patty melt with chips and upgraded to the macaroni and cheese side. Soft drinks are served in goblet style wine glasses which made me feel a little hoity-toity but in a cool way. Food did take a little longer than I expected to come out, but it wasn't a bother....it gave us time to chat and appreciate the vibe. Food looked absolutely delectable when it arrived; everything looked freshly cooked, salad was sparkling with fresh cut veggies and the chips were just the right amount. One bite into that hot pastrami sandwich and I had a moment of pure bliss. That pastrami was perfectly sliced, cheese melted, coleslaw was fresh, mustard had more of a tap instead of a kick and crispy pickles. Every bite made me eager for the next. Hubby gave me a bite of the macaroni and cheese to try and it tasted homemade...creamy! Hubby also thoroughly enjoyed his patty melt...patty was medium as ordered, melty cheese and grilled bread. We can't wait to visit again for lunch soon and dinner as well! This is absolutely my new favorite place!

Granted I heard nothing but good things about this place. We showed up for our reservation on time and the place was busy. Within 10 minutes of being seated we had our drink order and food order placed. A chicken salad for my wife and a ribeye for myself. Fast forward about 45 minutes to an hour.....no food. We flagged down another server (who was very helpful and polite, a real sweetheart) who checked on our food which came out about 5 to 10 minutes after seeing some scrambling of the staff. My ribeye steak, baked potato, and beans were barely warm. So who knows how long this food sat around dying. Never have I sent food back and wanted to leave so quickly without eating anything. Needless to say I was craving a steak for dinner, but left the establishment behind along with my apetite. With a price tag of $48.99, I honestly expected quite a bit more from a "Steakhouse". When you attach those sort of prices you need to come with your "A" regardless how busy it was.

I had eaten here before I became a Yelper. The menu is not too extensive, letting them concentrate on their great dishes. I didn't get them this time, but try the Pterodactyl wings. It is an appetizer, but order a side and it's dinner. I ordered the pork chop with taters and a salad. The chop was a generous portion and well seasoned. The potatoes were nice and soft, perfectly done Only one drawback, I ordered it medium since I like a tiny bit of pink in my pork. It wasn't pink at all, but still good, just not as tender as it could have been. I do realize every eatery is concerned about food safety. The bread pudding was also good. The wait staff is excellent. We couldn't have been happier with the service.

The Sirloin with 2 sides is only around $13 compared with almost double that on the dinner menu. Good specials on drinks too. Summer took great care of me. She's excellent. Even though baked potatoes aren't supposed to be ready that early she got me one. I got the lunch rib plate, which is a huge beef rib (although a little smaller than it used to be). It was mostly meat and not much fat. Way too much for me to eat, it provided lunch the next day as well. I brought home a burger to my wife, which was also cooked perfectly. It's a fun old-fashioned place to go to. Lots of animal heads on the walls and cowboy type things. This is in the old Sizzler right off the freeway and just into Oregon. They are owned by the same people as Indian Creek steak in Caldwell. I just can't justify spending the money on a previous Sizzler environment. It's not fit for a "quick lunch" type of place. My opinion is that it just feels like they're struggling so they need to charge high to cover losses. I'd suggest building more menu items, at smaller portions to suit more palates and needs. Like maybe lunch specials. I know prices everywhere are just high in general, and eating out nowadays is a luxury, and I totally get they need to cover their costs as well, but sometimes you're willing to spend it when the environment is lovely and the food is great. This restaurant was not a place that I was pleased in spending this much for lunch. Most reasonable priced item was a nearly $20 burger that was definitely not worth the money. The fries are fresh cut but are just not great - flimsy fries do not excite me. The lunch menu selection in general is dismal. I just kept looking at the menu, hoping something would entice me but it's really just a steak or a burger option. Or chicken strips. Not many options, not many price points. The interior is a little sad too. It just doesn't feel like a nice place. I pulled up and assumed they were closed. The door that faces where you pull up is a closed side door, so you gotta walk around a smidge. Just wasn't inviting. The service was excellent and friendly and attentive. The servers and service are keeping it all together for sure.
