I went to Trianon on a weekend morning, and it was definitely a happening place! Parking was busy, but the lots are large as they are shared with Austin's Pizza and other local businesses. I was greeted by a very friendly employee as soon as I got to the head of the short line. They have the regular lineup of coffee & espresso drinks, a selection of baked goods, and Taco Deli tacos! Their cappuccino was well made and the butter croissant was excellent in taste and texture. Yum! The only downside of Trianon is the noise from all the people in a relatively small space. This coffee shop has a very casual, homey feel to it. Since it is located on Bee Caves, there are less students (aka me) who make it their temporary home to study. Most customers come and go, or sit around for a bit to read books/chat with their friends and family. There are a ton of tables, with chairs ranging from barstools to leather lounge chairs, so no matter what you're here for, you'll most likely be able to find a place to sit. If you are here to study/work, there are only a few outlets on the walls, but luckily not many people stay for a long time so you could probably snag one. Just FYI -- My mocha came in a to-go cup and I haven't seen anyone get in house latte art cups. Not complaining though! Baristas were nice. read more

One of my favorite coffee spots in town. Hidden away in the heart of Westlake, Trianon is usually pretty quiet and a good place to read a book or enjoy a quiet conversation with a pal. The baristas are all wonderful people. They are knowledgeable about the drinks and coffees they offer. They readily will offer you great suggestions that fit your personality instead of referring to the most expensive, boring thing on the menu. I really enjoy the mocha frappes. They have a pretty good flavor and are much richer-tasting than your typical Starbucks fare. It just tastes more real. I've been coming here a lot lately- so much so my mom got me a gift card to the place for Christmas. My only real "complaint" is that they close super early. I like enjoying coffee in the evenings and they usually close up shop around 7pm or so most nights. Otherwise, I love this place and wish there were more coffeehouses like it out there. read more

I love Trianon Coffee and was SO sad when it got booted from it's previous location. I was worried they wouldn't be able to rally and return but alas, they have returned to Bee Cave road! I finally got the chance to go check out their new location this weekend and it was so cute inside. They're in an older shopping center but the inside is all nice and new. All of the staff were so friendly and I even got a free cookie. And of course, the coffee is still just as fabulous as ever. If you're a serious coffee drink you'll appreciate all of the many options and types of coffee. If you're a more casual drinker you'll love that none of the roasts are ever bitter and they've got some fun lattes on the menu to try. Personally, I just like the good old fashioned cold brew! When you're out next Saturday and looking for a little local place to support that has some phenomenal coffee and a very Austin-esque atmosphere go ahead and pull in. You won't regret it! read more

Being the coffee lover that I am when I saw this coffee shop on yelp I had to come... That being said here are my thoughts PROS: a lot of seating options, serve taco deli breakfast tacos, an abundance of parking, friendly staff, great location, they offer a free coffee with check-in, WIFI, conference room, CONS: the noise level is very high (more seating=more people=more talking=more noise), the vanilla latte was very bitter(still tastes good but not the best I have had in Austin), it can get very crowded(I had to move a few chairs to get through to wait for my drink), and lastly I got the feeling of not feeling in place. It seems to come across as another trying to be "hipster" coffee shop where they judge you for not being like them. CONCLUSION: give this place a try! I see things I love and don't like about it but I think it's worth the try! read more

What makes this one cool is that they have their own coffee bean shop on the side of the counter to take home. The baristas are friendly and knowledgable and there ample seating. Came here during a two hour lunch break I had. My barista might've been the most friendly guy ever. Definitely gave me good recommendations on what to get and talked about the wide coffee selection they had. Ended up getting a cold brew on his recommendation. Really liked it. Smooth. Also got a green cart sandwich, basil chicken salad, which was alright. The place is nice and roomy with lots of light and lots of seating. I went this afternoon to try a new place for a iced coffee. I walked in and I greeted the lady that was sweeping received no response. Went to the front to order and shared this was my first time there; instead of recommending something or welcoming me I received a very awkward silence. This place was not welcoming what so ever. All 3 staff members looked so unhappy to be there and were far from welcoming. I will never go back to this coffee shop and won't recommend it to anyone due to the unwelcoming experience. read more

Was walking by with my pups during our amazing snow day here in Austin. Decided a Cortado would be perfect, however, had the pups, snow was coming down. I'm digging this place. They have breakfast tacos until 11am, good tea and it smells like delicious coffee. That's because they sell coffee beans too. I heard the manager? talking for a surprisingly long time to another customer about the different qualities of their coffees and the chocolatey-ness, etc. Even as a non-coffee drinker I was impressed. Due to some weird landlord shenanigans they have to move soon, but will be just up Bee Caves Road, less than a mile away. I'm sure they will make just as nice of an atmosphere there as they have here. read more

I had an hour to kill before a dinner nearby and instead of fighting traffic I found Trianon Coffee. It is fairly well hidden off of Bee Caves Rd in a shopping center. They have some outdoor seating available, couches, cushy chairs, small tables and my favorite spot I found the wooden table perched in the corner next to an extension cord (yay for charging all my devices). The team here is friendly and helpful. No snobby baristas here! There is local merch, coffee contraptions for purchase, local bites, Topo Chico/Clean water/Pellegrino, fruit, a huge variety of teas, coffee (both brewed to order and ready made) and more. There are about 45 types of beans you can purchase to go with a nice selection of both organic and decaf sprinkled in. I asked what they could do decaf and was told they can do anything decaf except or ice coffee. Well that is impressive! With that said I went with a fruity hot tea that was recommended and I loved it. The space is relaxed and the coffee shop is independent which are two huge pluses in my book. read more

Holy mother of holy----things. I just took a gulp of something I can only describe as a heavenly elixir of sweet, nerve-jolting deliciousness. (The "flavored" latte--which I chose caramel and mocha flavoring.) I have recently accepted a position at a place where I will be working ungodly late nights and overnights and in the meanwhile...also attending daytime training. These days, I normally don't drink coffee (unlike my 18 year old self who used to drink mochas with 4 extra shots added to it.....3 times a day....yeah)...but seeing as I'm training for a management level position....me being the swamp creature in the back of the training classes who is moaning and muttering incoherently due to sleep depravation is wholly unacceptable. Enter Trianon. I stumbled in at 8:40 on a Saturday and ordered....are you ready for this bc it's ridiculous..."a 20oz caramel/mocha flavored latte with almond milk." The young lady behind the counter was sweet as she took my order and the badass who executed the order should just be glad I didnt try my drink inside the store...or else she would have seen me bounce over the counter to lay a wet one on her. That's what everyone at a coffee shop needs, right? Unwanted sexual advancements/harassment ?? You know how sometimes, when you're at the office and someone who thinks they know how to make coffee...makes the coffee? And when you drink it...it's like drinking water with coffee flavoring? And sometimes, you'll get a cup of coffee and just be wildly underwhelmed by it's lack of boldness?? WELL...I will say this much....the "Shot in the dark" drink (coffee with a shot of espresso)....is truly not satisfying taste-wise. It was just a bit too blah for me...which I think speaks to the quality of the black coffee that they have on drip (And I got their dark roast drip). That's my nugget of full disclosure for this review. They do have Taco Deli tacos (none of which I observed were vegan friendly---they did have vegetarian friendly ones though)....and a conference room you can rent out. Awesome. So, thank you Trianon the Coffee Place---Now I can fool my coworkers into thinking I'm a sort of superwoman with boundless amounts of energy....and keep it on the down-low that I'm actually downing liquid crack from your establishment as my secret energy source. read more

This "coffee place" brings back a lot of memories. Back in middle school we could always smell Trianon from down the hill brewing their coffee. It was so nice! It has a fantastic location and a lot of seating. They even have a private "conference room" where you can get work done or schedule meetings if you want a private space. I like sitting with my laptop at one of their many little tables. There are windows all around so it has a lot of natural light and the counter is big and inviting. The baristas are always very friendly as well. They sell Tacodeli tacos, but this isn't a plus for me because when I opened mine the flour tortilla was completely stuck to the tin foil... womp womp. But that's ok, I'll just get them fresh from Tacodeli. They also have some assorted pastries and to-go lunch sandwiches and wraps. I loved their chai tea latte with an extra shot of espresso, so yummy! The prices seem to be pretty standard as well. Me gusta Trianon! read more

Just discovered this place after living in the area for 2 years, mainly because the name of the establishment leads one to believe it is a Fleetwood Mac-inspired chemotherapy manufacturer, rather than a coffee shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that instead of expensive cytotoxin, these folks were churning out a barista blend of coffee that rivals some of the best stuff I make at home (I'm looking at you, Gevalia.) Prices are reasonable, and the clientele demographics lean more toward moderately frigid white people than the agonizingly narcissistic elitists that sit directly behind you and bitch about the fact that Austin is an "elegantly dressed whore masquerading as it's former self". read more

We buy our office coffee en masse here at Trianon, so the staff has many times witnessed me running through their doors to grab pounds of Panama, only to run out breathlessly en route to the TCBY next door to grab the office's frozen yogurt requests. Point being, every time I run in, I have this incredible urge to drop my self in one of their sun-lit corner tables, bust out my laptop and stay awhile. The feel here is cozy and relaxed, the mainly female staff is always friendly, and their unique selection of candy, treats, and specialty coffee is unbelievably tempting. European truffles, candy-bar flavored coffee, and day-old baked goods at 50% off. While they prepare your order, sneak over to the retail section and peruse the coffee lovers' necessities. My only complaint about Trianon is their daily trivia question. If you get it right, you get 10 cents off your order. 10 cents?! Straining my brain to come up with the answer is worth at least a dollar. Stop by and try a cup of their Panama blend. Best I've tasted in Austin. read more
