When I first started I was skeptical to say the least but my friend, she convinced me and I must say the class with Corey is great, he challenges everyone in the room. The prices are in the normal range for this type of facility and the location at least for me is great. Been going to the prenatal classes for a few weeks now and they are wonderful. The teacher, Kaylene, is really wonderful. She is kinda and very conscious about adjusting moves/poses for all different levels and weeks. She also has a great message for each class that helps to bring a focus and intention to the class. I was referred by my Dr. to check this out, this facility has lifestyle consultations, yoga, meditation practices, eastern medicinal practices, etc. The team here is very patient, talented, and polite. Since I'm "new" to all this, I wanted to see if I would be comfortable here. I love it, and now I've committed with a 10 pack. I've tried yin, meditation class, and hot yoga. I'm looking forward to trying more classes. I'm enjoying this very much, but it is tough. I leave feeling empowered and like a million bucks. Normally I don't write Yelp reviews, mostly because I don't care enough to, but after my session last night I just want to warn anyone I can, NOT to take any class led by NINA CATALANO. I've been coming to TriBalance since the beginning of the summer, mostly to relax and unwind at the end of stressful days, and usually I love my experience and leave feeling much happier and refreshed, but the opposite was true last night. Nina called out the young lady next to me in the middle of class, asking her if she was okay and telling her she was being distracting for sitting on her mat and taking a break. The young lady told her she was fine and just needed a small break and Nina told her she could either sit in the back of the class or do child's pose. The lady was sitting right by me and was not at all distracting. In fact, what was distracting was Nina's phone ringing in the middle of class! Keep in mind, this session was open to all levels, so for a beginner, I felt really uncomfortable that I too might be told to go to the back of the class if I was unable to keep up. Then, after the session I overheard Nina address the young girl AGAIN, telling her she was rude for having her phone out and not wishing to speak with her. Again, this person was near me the entire session and did not have her phone out once. In fact, she showed me that it had been in her locker the entire session. It was actually Nina's phone ringing that was both distracting and rude. Prior to this, I would have 100% recommended TriBalance to my friends; it's clean, most of the instructors are friendly and helpful, as are the people at the front desk. However, after my session with Nina Catalano, I'm hesitant not only to recommend TriBalance, but even to come back. Beginners should not be told to stay in the back of the class or risk being called out by the instructor just because they need a small break in an all level class. Unless you're advanced, I'd stay away from this place, or at the very least stay away from Nina and take a class with someone else if your schedule allows. :( read more

So here goes. I'm 53 I was raised in the 80s so I used some cocaine and alcohol quite a bit. I wanted to change that part of my life. But somehow the Mind and Body Connection just didn't click for me. Until I found Hot Yoga in Oceanside California 6 and 1/2 years ago. Driving by a hot yoga studio I thought to myself what is this hot yoga shimoga? I tried one class and I was hooked. It changed my life instantly. It changed me as a person and it changed my soul. When I found tribalance hot yoga two years ago, wow! Sense of calm immediately washes over your body upon entering the studio. I am a hot yoga fan so I will write a review about that. All of the instructors are amazing but not every instructor fits your needs so try everyone and figure out who is best for you. Not everyone fits in the same box that is something I've learned from taking hot yoga. I will go above and beyond to make it to Joe and Jeremy's class. They packed so many different and challenging postures into a one-hour class. Joe and Jeremy are very specific with a description on the pasture and they are very challenging when going from one posture into the next. My experience with other yoga studios is they will repeat the same block of postures over and over again with the net 1 hour time frame. Joe and Jeremy's class however keep it fun and challenging by offering as many postures as possible in that one hour time frame making it very clear and easy to follow and the heat is always on point! Being a 53 year-old woman sometimes I wake up not looking or feeling my best. It's nice to just go into a dimly lit Yoga Studio, not worrying about how I look look up and coming out looking and feeling fantastic! Ladies, this is an instant facelift I love all of the yoga instructors here however I prefer Joe in Jeremy's class. I have tried all three ladies for acupuncture and I highly recommend it to anyone before you go to your doctor and take medications that are simply a Band-Aid for the undergoing problem. The owner is wonderful and kind as wel5l. I am writing this review with all of the love and kindness and honesty in my heart. I've been working out 37 years. I have and do many workout facilities throughout the United States and tribalance yoga is home for me. There is no place like home and when I walk into tribalance yoga, I feel like I am home again. Thank you for everyone to try balance yoga for giving me my life back and forgiving me my health back you have changed my soul. I no longer like myself, I love myself! I've been to a fair number of studios and this one is my favorite It's hot, but not quite as hot as a Bikram studio, and there is variety in the classes so you're not just doing the same thing every week, and the teachers are good about giving adjustments. Corey is very popular so his classes are crowded but not too much. Joy has an amazing personality and is really fun even when she's really pushing us. Patty mixes in some pilates and is the toughest of them all, but I really enjoy the challenge. read more

TriBalance was the first place I took a yoga class, it was hot yoga. The instructors are wonderful and know what they're teaching. The atmosphere is pure. The interior design is superb!! I also had acupuncture but did not follow up, although I plan to very soon. If I could I would be there everyday! My favorite hot yoga studio hands down. Relaxation and peace surround you the entire visit. All the instructors are great - my favorites are Patti, Cassie, and Melina. The prices are standard for the market. You get so many wonderful benefits though: very nice locker rooms, showers, yoga mat cleaner, cold filtered water fountain, and more. I always take TriBalance Hot Yoga and am never disappointed. They are relaxing yet challenging classes with wonderful music and they vary by instructor. I'd say TriBalance is especially great for beginner yogis - I started out as a beginner here and can truly say that I wasn't intimidated at all. Great vibes all around. I have been visiting the yoga studios recently in and around the northwest suburbs in a search for one that yoga studio that just fits. In my "first class is free" visit, I took the Tribalance Hot Yoga class - their flagship class - with Corey. Assessment: - The studio itself is nice and big and brand spanking new. There's a lot of room to move around wherever you go (i.e. the classrooms, locker rooms, as well as the front-desk area, a plus when you're arriving as other yogis are leaving) - The classrooms are big which is both a pro and a con. There are a lot of students coming in but enough space for everyone to spread out. On the flipside, there were times I couldn't hear Corey calling out the next pose because his voice didn't carry in the big room (and over the vent system and music). - Corey also gave some really nice one-on-one instruction throughout the class, offering gentle adjustments and ways to deepen the pose. - They offer a VERY competitive pricing, and also provide some nice discounts when purchasing packages or commiting to a membership with an auto-debit payment. Conclusion: I wish this place was just a little bit closer to me and offered more Vinyasa classes. I very much enjoyed the instructor, the facility, and would DEFINITELY enjoy their pricing. I find the staff is not only friendly but also very helpful and non judgemental.....my practice has been guided and helped by this environment and with over a dozen instructors I always seem to learn something new each time I go. Tribalance is such a great atmosphere. It is the perfect place to reduce stress, get bigger-faster-stronger, and seek out unique services. The variety brings such a diverse group of people: yoga, barre, boxing, and bootcamp classes. My favorite class is fithit boxing with the trainer, Paco. I have been going for a little over a year now, and he has yet to disappoint. He makes it an effort to get to know his clients and individualize work outs to meet everyone's needs. He is exceptional with his boxing knowledge, and he mixes up his classes to keep things interesting. Did I mention he kicks your butt? I feel like a new person each and every time. I have also made a life long friend in my boxing class, as well as other great people who I enjoy to see every Monday and Wednesday. Paco keeps an open, comfortable environment. Hot yoga is something I have practiced for almost 2 years now at various studios and having moved to the area I was eager to find a new studio. Having gone to an amazing yoga studio prior to tribalance definetly makes it difficult for them to live up to my expectations. With that being said there are certain things in yoga practice that any good instructor should know. My first class was with Becki but had I not read the schedule I would not have known that because she did not tell you her name when she started class, she just told everyone to start at the front of their mats. The class seemed more like an aerobics class than yoga, there was not really flow from one pose to another. It was very fragmented and usually a pose is followed by a counter pose to prevent injury and promote balance but not during the class I took. Having the fans on in the room made it hard to hear what Becki was saying and although her taste in music was good I felt it was not well matched to yoga practice. Start of class at my previous studio the instructor would ask how everyone was feeling(energy wise) to see what type of class the students wanted and find out if there were specific poses or body parts to concentrate on. I think talking to your students to find what type of practice they need only makes sense if you truly want to have an impactful class. The studio itself was very nice and clean. Locker room offered plenty of space to stow valuables, shower and change. It is great that they offer other classes outside of yoga, and children programs. All the staff members I spoke with were friendly enough and the class will give you a good workout. If you are seeking a balanced, meditative, challenging yoga practice this studio will likely leave you feeling unfulfilled. read more

I am SO psyched that I came to Yelp and looked up hot yoga near MY house. I'd been to hot yoga down near Naperville but heck, that's like almost an hour drive for me so clearly I wasn't attending classes a lot. Score to find this AND to see that it is full of 4-5 star reviews. I went to my first class today and LOVED it. Like the other reviews here, I agree, I like the dark room- I did NOT like in the Naperville class how the bright lights are on.....for me that just encourages you to compare yourself with others which is NOT good in yoga. I also enjoyed the music. The instructor walked around the class the whole time, so I could tell she was watching me to make sure I and others were ok or maybe in need of assistance with poses. This is NOT Bikram yoga - the strict set of poses and frankly I did like it- I loved the flow and what they chose and wow was it challenging. It's also a huge plus to be next door/in the same building as massage, chiropractic, an MMA studio- plus a lobby with COLD water, coconut water and other drinks for purchase after the classes. Nice big changing rooms and they also sell some nice yoga clothing out front. They were kind enough to lend me a lock for the locker as well as the yoga mat and towel. I can't wait to go back. TriBalance is the best place! A friend suggested I try hot yoga last fall and I cannot thank her enough!! I have arthritis in my hip - and to keep the pain away I have to move my hamstrings and butt muscles enough so they relax and let my hip joint move freely like it was made to. Nothing else worked 100% - chiropractic, anti-inflammatory diet, vitamins, supplements, messages, electrical stimulation, hatha yoga - all helped but my pain is now ZERO thanks to hot yoga. Thank you Thank you Thank you Not to mention how much more centered and focused I am now because of the great meditative benefits. All of the instructors are great, always challenging but compassionate, which is difficult to accomplish. Becki reminded me how to breath deeply and completely with her great description of how to do this - at work I had unconsciously begun to hold my breath and breathe shallowly causing muscle spasms. I go to Joy's revitalize your hot yoga on Thursdays and she reminds you to stay centered even with life's ups and downs. Patti has the perfect core philosophy to get anyone into their best shape ever. Cassie and Corey are awesome. The variety of music is wonderful. I recommend TriBalance hot yoga to everyone! I find it very difficult for yoga spots to have a late class like around 830, and tribalance offers the late night sessions!!. Triblance has all the classes I need and my favorite is their hot yoga. I cannot say enough about this studio. It has amazing vibe that is incomparable. The instructors are all wonderful and all very different. You get a completely different kind of work out (work in technically :)) at each class. They also just added a bunch of boot camp and fitness classes so you can mix it up. Hot Yoga is the reason I gave up going to the health club to abuse my body and log endless hours on the cardio machines. Besides seeing no visible changes in my body.... just became boring.
