I have 4 dealerships within 20 miles or so and some even offer car pickup. Scenario - I took my car for a 40K scheduled service. They said everything was fine but I needed to change my front brakes (less than 3 mm - I have the video). I also needed to fix the rotors as I had pushed the pads to the limit. By the way, I had a crack in the windshield which needed a full replacement. Total cost to fix was about $3.2K. I declined as I was a bit wary of this sudden deterioration of my car. To put things in perspective, Mercedes has an automated warning that tells you when the brakes needed work. I couldn't see the crack/chip but recommendations are that it has to be about quarter size to warrant a full windshield replacement. The picture sent over made it the size of small drop of water. I went to 3 car shops to verify this as I could not believe that I was getting ripped off from my favorite place. Two lifted the car and one did on-ground assessment. The smallest measurement for my brakes was about 5mm. The others were about 5.5 mm. There was also no damage to the rotors. They also looked at the windshield but said it looked shallow enough to be filled in but they would check. Btw, most insurance coverages provide for no-deduction replacement with no impact to insurance rates. This incident really bothered me as I liked it enough to take cake and chocolate-covered strawberries as a sign of appreciation for the great service. Also, there have been a number of service related posts citing dishonesty. The positive reviews are mostly related to sales. At any rate, that was certainly my last visit there.

The shop assured me repeatedly, even after I expressed concern, that "everything would be perfect." Spoiler: it wasn't. Before I could even inspect the wheels, they rushed to mount the tires--triggering their "no returns once mounted" policy. And guess what? The wheels don't fit. The bolt pattern and hub don't line up. Completely unusable. When I asked for a return, they flat-out refused. Even after Asanti themselves said they'd accept a return if the shop initiated it, the shop refused to lift a finger. So I'm stuck with a set of wheels and tires that they guaranteed would work--and don't. To make matters worse, they promised to help me resell the wheels. I gave them 90 days. They never listed them. They sat in the back of the shop collecting dust--until I picked them up myself. One of the wheels was damaged. This shop has zero accountability, zero integrity, and zero respect for their customers. They'll tell you anything to get a sale, but when the product doesn't work, they vanish.
