I have used DFW framing alignment several times on different vehicles. I even had them do work on a Jeep Wrangler with a lift kit, which are impossible to align properly. They did an excellent job with the vehicle and the alignment was great. I recently took my Ford F250 diesel there because it needed an alignment and a few parts that were worn out. I feel that the prices were very fair for the parts and labor. The alignment was excellent. I could tell a difference in the way my truck drove after their work. They've been around for years and I will continue to use them both for satisfaction of work done, and prices. read more

We visited DFW F & A to get an alignment on our Dodge Dart that had just had the tie rods replaced. The alignment was way out on it, so we knew they had their work cut out for them. We received friendly service, and appreciate that they made us aware that one of our tires was bad. They made sure it was the tire causing a pull by switching what side the tire was on, and the pull moved with the tire. We got new tires shortly after, and the pull did in fact go away, our car now drives straight. :) I took off one star because the tire that was causing the pull was a directional tire, and when DFW F & A moved it to the other side of the car, it was facing the wrong direction, which caused a much rougher ride than necessary. After determining the tire was causing the pull, they should have moved it back so it was facing the correct direction. All in all, a very good experience, and we will definitely go back the next time we need an alignment on one of our cars! read more

There is a guy employed there named Rex. He has completely lied & not covered the cost of an accident that he had with my 19 year-old daughter. He has lied on recorded conversations with Progressive. He hasn't covered the cost of the full repairs, rental or increase in our car insurance. I would not recommend anyone that would employee a liar like this man. When I think of this place I think their name should be changed to "gouge o matic." I have had trouble with them before calling out many more parts than are needed to remedy a situation, and trying to give me the hard sell why I've got to buy these parts to fix the problem. In the past to replace a heater core they insisted I needed a new radiator too, and they didn't get the job. They have tried to demand I replace oxygen sensors when there is no check engine light illuminated on the dashboard. I called today to find out what they would charge me to put a couple cans of R134A Freon in a car that is still cooling but a little low on Freon. It's still working and is suffering from sitting up, and nobody needs to open the sealed system to fix that. I want one or two as needed 1lb cans of R134A put into the low side of the air conditioner and that's it. Close the lid and forget about it - this is easy stuff. They told me the system needs to be evacuated and to re-pull a vacuum then re-charge the system for a sum of around $200.00. Listen, if you get a flat tire and you buy a new car that is guaranteed to fix your problem, and this is guaranteed to fix my air conditioner. Except that I don't need all that, and I know it. That makes their recommendations nothing less than gouging the customer, and taking advantage of the ignorant. I hung the phone up frustrated with myself because I already knew they would quote something ridiculous, and life has not changed a bit. If you want your car repaired with the most extreme number of parts, and most expensive process available, this is the place for you. IF you enjoy charitable contributions to profitable businesses that take advantage of people; again this is a perfect place to look. If you just want the faulty condition cleared, and only the affected part, you had better look for a mechanic that's in your best interest. I'll drive around hot forever before I'll pay $200 to have the air conditioner topped off with an $8 can of R134A. This place has done quality work for me, but trying to fight them down to what I really need isn't worth the struggle required to get it. There once was a sign in their lobby that said something about a God fearing man just trying to make an honest living. I'm still choking on that because their diagnoses are not remotely honest, and they are making a lot on the sale of not needed parts and the labor to install them. And when that happens many customers don't know they didn't need that many parts, and they've been screwed. That's plain old stealing from the cusotmer, but I'm sure they have a pre-packaged justification for every thing they are doing, because they always do. read more

Flew down to Dallas to move my son up with me. We took son's truck to them to have the checked over before the trip. They found a couple of issues so I told to fix them. After sending the entire day there they said it was fixed. Left the next day on the trip north, made it as far as Richardson and the truck broke down because they installed the transmission cooler line wrong, had to leave the truck at transmission shop. Beware, I needed an alignment, took my vehicle ii, waited half an hour, then the tech came out and whispered in the guy with the shaven heads ear. Next thing I know they said it could not be aligned without several hundred dollars worth of repairs, said I wanted to take it somewhere else, they charged me 80 bucks just for looking at it. Just as I was leaving, they told some young Girls the same thing with their car. Following week, took my car and had it aligned in Arlington. No problem. Rip off artists. read more

Bad Business! The work they wanted to charge me $1200 to do somebody else did for $200. Then they had to the audacity to charge me $50 to release it to a tow truck driver. After they threatened me with "storage fees". Oh, and they held my truck hostage for a week before they even looked at it. DFW Frame & Alignment They did replace front end parts and did alignment. After completion of work, vehicle pulled to the right. They worked on A/C. The compressor made noise after completion. Brakes shuttered. Brakes still shuttered after completion. When I picked up the vehicle, all airbags were inoperative. They let me leave the premises for the weekend without airbags working. I returned the vehicle to DFW Frame & Alignment, and they could only fix the airbag problem after I had suggested to check the fuse. Total cost $3200.00. read more

So I went for a frame inspection after front collision on my Tahoe. They said they could repair my bumper mounts and get my off-road bumper back on so I gave them the job after 2 tries of leaving it with them and having payed 230 for the job , they said they could not get it...i told them to grind off the tabs on the mounts so that they could move to allow bolt on for the bumper and then be welded to the frame. They said they didn't do "custom jobs" yet I saw custom classics there , anyways after saying that they simply switched the mounts upside down and drilled holes into my frame to make them fit and while at it they scraped the paint off the grill while putting the bumper on. They said they didn't do it. And said the bumper is not for that truck even though I had it on before? So I wasn't satisfied with what Mitch said was their "best job" and complained about the paint scraped off he simply dismissed me with a " I'm not gonna paint your grille or do any more work on it I'm done" simply left me and went back into the shop.. he also said he wasn't going to do any more "free work and shit"...I was in a peaceful manner and he was being rude and offensive yet they call this their best work ? read more

I spent $600 for for them to damage my a/c. I came to them initially to work on my a/c (it probably just need to be recharged), and to check out my older vehicle. When they got back to me, they wanted to do $1300 in repairs, most of which were completely unnecessary. These included the inner tie rod ends (they are COMPLETELY fine) and $120 in labor (1.5 hours) to change 3 very easily accessible spark plugs, the latter of which took me 15 minutes to do myself. I politely declined all the repairs but the a/c, so they simply recharged the a/c and waited for a few parts to come in, saying there was a slow leak. The a/c worked PERFECTLY for 3 weeks, then the parts came in, they did the further work on the a/c, and now the a/c cuts in and out constantly. I've left my car there two whole additional days, and the mechanics did nothing. I am certain that the last time I dropped off my car, they did not even look at it. It was parked in the exact spot where I left it. They never called me to explain the situation. So after one month, 4 whole days at the shop, and $600, I have an air conditioning unit that I cannot use, all with no explanation from the employees. Thank you DFW frame and alignment. read more
