Tried this place for the first time as I had seen some reviews good and not so good wanted to have my own opinion. The place was super slow for us, and another customer at the time we went for dinner. No band playing just some music over the speakers no Latin music. Service was slow when there was no one else in the restaurant. Food was from a very limited menu as the server told me they were changing their menu and some items in the limited menu were not available as well. We started with drinks we had Coconut Margarita and A coconut Mojito and must say not good at all my daughter had to ask for more coconut syrup for hers I just drank what I could of mine. For appetizers, we asked for the yuca mofongitos (Sauce needed flavor) and Pork ceviche(just some pickled onion over the pork chunks). The pork was very tough to chew. For entrée, we decided to share a mofongo with Churrasco, and as well the meat had no flavor, and the Mofongo was tough and dry. Overall, I would probably not come back, but let's see what their new menu looks like. It's located in a shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking and an outdoor seating area.

While looking for a local happy hour we decided to check this location. They seemed to have a typical "Dominican" style restaurant so i thought it was goin to be a good spot. First impressions were great as the restaurant was pretty much empty and the furniture looked wonky. Menu options are very limited which the server mentioned that it was due to menu changes coming soon. We decided to try the coconut mojito and a coconut margarita. Both terrible, straight up alcohol lol I sent mine back and ask for more syrup and still was way too strong. For appetizers we shared 2 things: 1. mofongitos de yuca 4/10 the sauce had an odd taste and I have no idea what protein was on them as the menu didn't say. The mofongitos were lacking flavor and i would just not recommend. 2. Ceviche de Chicharron 10/10 if I had to order something from here it would be this. The combination of citrus and salty was a great pair for the chicharron. We really enjoyed this. For main we shared the churrasco with mofongo. 6/10 Steak was well cooked but mofongo was bland. We ordered a side of Moro rice but they had none available. Honestly based on my experience i wouldn't come back. Maybe I'll check them again after they change the menu.

Tribeca is Tribeca. Just like the neighborhood in Manhattan, a neighborhood populated by many people among them many Dominicans, Puerto Ricans,and others, and because of that a neighborhood filled with the flavors and the rhythms of the Caribbean, so is this little piece of heaven in Miramar, which, while far from both - NY and DR - brings to south Florida the authentic style, food and sounds of the exotic corners of the Antilles. I've enjoyed Tribeca several times and hope to keep enjoying they amazing food and wonderful service. Their monfongo, their empanadas de yuca, and their chili sliders are to die for. Additionally they offer amazing shows you can't find anywhere else. It's a brilliantly used space that transforms and allows for anything you would like, a concert, you got it; a comedy show, it can be accommodated. The service is bar none of the best in county. The waitresses move around in synch and make sure you and your guests are always provided for. Although be aware of special engagements. I recently got tickets for my family and I to see a famous comedian duo from DR - Raymon Pozo and Miguel Cespedes - and after paying for the tickets, I received a call the day before the event offering us a table reservation and table number - it was never made clear to me that a minimum charge of $300 was attached to the reservation of the table, which I innocently assumed they were reserving to add to the order within the space, and after being seated and ordering - well you know the deal - there's no option but to pay. Despite that minor mishap, I still love the place, the food, the service, the music, the events. It's one of those places I'll keep going back to. And 8 highly recommend you explore as well!

I recently spotted this place near my neck of the woods I finally came over to check it out and treat a friend of mine for her birthday and it was delicious The food was very tasty and just really good food. Started with their tray from the appetizer food. Then I had the triple mofo go with chicken , my husband and friend had a seafood plate that were both delicious. This spot was delicious! Our dishes were full of flavor. The vodka sauce on the Mar y Tierra paired perfectly with the proteins on the plate and the mofongo! It was my first time trying the mofongo and I truly enjoyed it. My only criticism would be the appetizer was a little dry and needed something more "saucy" to complete it. Overall, the food was delicious!

Seeing mixed reviews I had to try it out myself. Saturday night, place was dead for dinner around 930 ish.... No live band but DJ on hand playing some good Latin music. Seem to be a party of about 12 folks but no one else. Service I thought was slow when there was really no one else to serve. Food seem basic.... Saw review of the fried pork chunks that was dry and it was confirmed. Almost like beef jerky.. maybe it was an off night! Flavor was good at least but hard to eat. Ordered the whole fried fish. Fish lacked any seasoning whatsoever so ever. Was excited to try the mofungo and it was just okay. Have had many other better mofungo plates at other spots. But it was not bad, just not wow. Overall, nice spot to hang out if it ever gets busy with a nice dance floor.

I came here on a Sunday with my husband and son. I ordered the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce and he ordered the pork chunks. The food is always very good here. Never any complaints, and the coconut mojito is a fan favorite for the hubby. Each time we've gone it has only been my family and maybe 2 or 3 others. I need everyone to try this place out so they can stay around because I would not want to see them go. The food is entirely too good. It's a hidden gem I promise!

Stopped in for lunch with my father. We got there just as they opened so we're attended to very quickly. The place started to fill up around us and they had some good tunes playing. I ordered the mofongo with carne frita. The food was good, the mofongo could have used a caldo but it was flavorful. The carne frita was juicy and cut small which I like. I would stop in again if in the area.

Great service and fall off the bone oxtail was perfect. The location is local enough where you can enjoy a nice meal on a Wednesday night but the setup on the inside also allows one to be able to get dressed and enjoy a great Saturday night out as well. First date or casual date, great option for a solid meal

Yes yes yes!!! This is it!! My husband and I here on a Sunday afternoon for what we thought was going to be lunch.... From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and helped.. we started off with the shrimp tostones and Kibbeh.. my husband had the Kibbeh since I don't eat red meat and he loved it.. the shrimp tostones were good, only thing is I like my plantains crispier.. but the flavor was there... we ordered fried chicken chunks and fried pork one with white rice and beans and the other with Mofongo.. their food is very very Flavorful... my husband had a presidents and I had a passion fruit mojito.. I mean everything so far was amazing.. then there was dessert.... The bread pudding and ice cream! Wow!!! That was a great way to end our lunch... which actually turned into dinner, their portions are big... overall, everything was delicious. We will be back and we will be back soon!

We were invited by our family members for dinner at Tribeca Restaurant focusing strictly on Dominican dishes. I was very excited because I love food from the Caribbean Islands (Puerto Rico, Cuba and DR). It is what I grew up eating and crave eating this style of food often. Ok, well let's get into my experience. Kindly note that this is just my opinion based on the experience I had on my visit 3/24/23. Location - great spot, lots of free parking and the place is spacious. It is very casual and they even have a stage for the band or Dj,s they bring at some point of the night. The ambiance in general is a club vibe. Service - service was good, the host immediately greeted us, gave us a choice where to sit and attended to us and was very polite. Food - overall I believe the food was overcooked, dry and bland for what I know how amazingly flavorful Dominican food is and can be. I ordered the Masitas de Cerdo (pork chunks) with Mofongo. The pork chunks were way overcooked and dry. The Mofongo tends to be a very dry dish because it is plantains but this one was just not flavorful and not what I am use to having. The thing about Mofongo is you either know how to make it or not and unfortunately for me I did not enjoy this. We also ordered the Picadera Tipica (which is typical appetizers), which included Yuca that was delicious but all of the meat cuts (steak, pork, salami chunks) were all overcooked and dry. I took two pictures and they were not great pictures since we were sitting under a blue light lol. This very well could just have been a fluke and maybe not Tribecas way of cooking but it was not a good eating experience for me. We spent the rest of the night socializing but I decided not to order any more food. I wish Tribeca Restaurant much success and if you decide to visit I hope you have a better food experience.

Tribeca really exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful inside with nice light fixtures with a cool lit up bar. Our waiter was very attentative and checked on us numerous times. They brought our food fairly fast. I recommend ordering the Tribeca chimi sliders and the shrimp mac and cheese. The plantains and Tribeca special sauce was a nice touch for the burgers. The shrimp was succulent, and I'm a cheese lover. There was an abundant amount of cheese on the pasta. To add to everything, the music they played while enjoying your meal was on point!

Very loud music not the typical restaurant to eat and have a conversation. Food is disastrous, taste like they use an old oil to fry. Drinks warm. And the staff is not at all excited to be here. Please avoid this place no matter how hungry you are. read more

We went for lunch and had some Moscow mules. They were yummy but the cup they were served in didn't have any handles, the mug was very cold to hold on to. We only ordered apps, we had the octopus and Chicharrones app. Both were tasty but neither had any bold or stand out flavors. For the taste of the food and the quality, it was a bit pricy. You could get the same quality and maybe even better flavor at a Latin cafe or la carreta around the corner. read more

Sooo my friend recommended this place. Said it was a good time. I came here with my son for lunch because we wanted burgers. Their menu is okay. Not too much to pick from. A lot of dominican plates. The atmosphere is nice. Dominican music playing. There were not too many people in, i would say like 4 full tables max. The food took FOREVER for burgers and french fries at least. Look over your bill carefully. Went this weekend and waitress was charging us for things we had not ordered (extra sodas and beers). Very rude waitress who was difficult to track down all night. Food is good but not worth it to deal with the service we were treated to that night. read more

I was very disappointed, unfortunately. You walk in and the first thing you notice, is how LOUD the music is being played. I felt like I was in a Latin bar for dinner. I get it, it is sort of, but the music doesn't have to be played that loud until after 10pm. You can't even hear the waiter talk. Not a fan! Secondly, we ordered the dumplings as appetizer, they were out of them, had to settle for the Chimi Sliders, which the meat was over cooked! The sauce was amazing though. The turnaround time for the appetizer was horrible, it took 20 minutes as well as for our meal, maybe even longer. I was very tempted to get up and walk out. All and all, I was disappointed. It's sad because the food was good and the fact Miramar had a new restaurant in the area, which is much needed. Hope you all have a better experience then my husband and I did. Message to the Owner: please turn the music down, especially for dinner. read more

We had the Mofongito Del Valle for appetizer which was very good. For entrees we had the Plantain Crusted Salmon and Salmon Al Limon. I will come back for the Salmon Al Limon, I do recommend it. For desert we had the Bread Pudding, it was ok but I would try something else next time. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the food. read more

Loveeedddd this gem on Miramar pkwy! Delicious home cooked meal but with the ambiance of South beach. I ordered the oxtail which comes in form of a soup I could've sworn someone's grandma made it. We are down visiting from Orlando, and found this place by our hotel. It is a hidden gem! It was nice and clean on the inside, and looked pretty cool. They had stage all set up for a live band later in the evening. The staff was very friendly. The food, was AMAZING! You MUST try the Tribeca chimi sliders. They are absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Everything we ordered was on point. Highly recommend here! Hopefully we can try brunch tomorrow. read more

Great spot! I went for happy hour on Friday. I love how their happy hour is from 4-8. The drinks are very good and they use lots of fresh tropical fruits like tamarind, passion fruit, and pineapples. Good selection of food for happy hour including tacos, yuca fruta and empeñada. The staff was exceptional, i honestly don't even know who was my real waitress because everyone that passed by would check on me and bring anything i needed. The food was a great quality, i only got appetizers but everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. They have a stage set up for live band so maybe that happens a little later. WAY BETTER THAN JUANA'S - I must've said this to our waitress three times the last time I are here. We ordered the tacos, the oxtail (rabo), the mofongo, the chimichurri sliders, and do yourself a favor - finish with the bread pudding (pudin de pan)! We've ordered almost everything on menu to our joy and satisfaction. I've always been invited to JUANA'S when it came to Dominican food (and hated it) - I am SO HAPPY THERE'S A WAY BETTER ALTERNATIVE! About time there's a new Dominican spot in town! read more

Really nice Dominican restaurant in the Kohls plaza on the corner of Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road. This place sells very good Mofongos which are hard to find. Their pork chops and mofongo plate is my favorite. Good amount of food. The restaurant itself is large inside and there is a great distance between tables now during this Covid-19 situation. There are also tables outside. Service is always great and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Just discovered Tribeca. The presidente was cold and the food was finger licking good. The special of the house, chivo, was Superb. The mofongo and the chicken chipotle carbonara was also superb. Music starts at 10:30 Saturday night see you then! read more

Soooo happy this place opened! Their happy hour goes until 8pm and the food and drinks are delicious. The coconut mojita and pineapple margaritas were strong and really well prepared! Try the chimi sliders, oxtail dumplings (fried) and passion calamari! A DJ plays pretty good music too! Can't wait to come back! read more

Tribeca is a Dominican Restaurant located in Miramar! They still doing a soft opening, as you can tell by their menu, it has alot of choices. The place has a nice design inside, specially the bar, it has a really nice design ! Wednesday they have karaoke. Started by ordering a appetizer which was the Chimi sliders: a toston "deep fried green platain" mini burgers, with a special sauce, and a red cole slaw inside of it, very tasty and with fresh flavors! My entree was the Platain Crustes Salmon, the Salmon came served on a hot skillet with a variety of vegetables on the bottom of it and the same had a sweet glazed sauce, was pretty good as well! To finish the night I ordered Churros with Nutella, was pretty good but once I saw the picture of the brownie it made me regret ordering the Churros lol! Service was pretty good , overall 5 stars and for sure coming back to check it out later on, when full menu is available! read more

My husband and I went here tonight for dinner. Since it was Wednesday night I was expecting a live band as the reviews on here say but the place was dead and we were the only couple in the place. We ordered the oxtail dumplings that were spectacular, so good I ordered another one right after we were done with the first one. My husband ordered the el Argentino which he order medium, it came more med well but still delicious. The steak and red beans was very flavorful. I ordered the chicken carbonara and was told they were out of chicken so I order the oxtail but the waitress came back to tell me there was no oxtail but I could have the chicken carbonara now. I reluctantly ordered it but thought maybe I shouldn't as where did the chicken come from. They brought it out but the chicken was off colored and tasted like they found a piece in the freezer and thawed it out quickly, the sauce was bland, and the pasta was undercooked so I sent it back. I did not mind though because the oxtail dumplings were so good I was very happy. Will definitely be back to indulge in them again read more

Bring your own utensils!!! Walking in this Place has a nice ambiance and DJ. Food all I can say was ok.. wasn't able to try much besides fried platter appetizer, because the Service was AWFUL!! Waited over 20 mins for drinks, family member asked for a water never got it. When appetizer came we asked for utensils and plates twice. Finally the server brought plates but said all utensils are dirty and not sure when clean ones will come out. Felt bad at first since she seemed like she had a large patty. But after not getting any attention or checked up on after another 30 mins. We asked another server if we can please get water and drinks and place our order since the other server hasn't come in a while. She seemed annoyed upon the request but proceeded. After another 20 mins of not getting our drinks or no check in. I decided to just ask waitress for check on what we got only and cancel the rest. She stated she just put the order in, and I stated we have been waiting for water and utensils for over an hour, and placed order with other waitress over 20 mins ago, there is no way I'm waiting any longer for water and food you just put in. She felt embarrassed and knew she messed up. She told cooks to cancel order, she just put in and gave me check. Once I got the check I was just gonna pay for it without checking because We just wanted to leave this awful experience as soon as possible; but I'm glad I took a glance because she charged me for two drinks I never got and 1 I didn't even order. She didn't even apologize once I informed her, she just said ok and removed it. I do not recommend this place at all, service awful and no managers in site no apologies and just waitress with bad attitude and no consideration. 0 stars! read more

I was excited about trying out this new place that had overall great reviews. The food and environment were disappointing. The salsa for their chips and salsa is canned and cheap. The food was mediocre at its best, and contained a stale pork rind that wasn't edible. The environment was extremely loud. They had a live performance 2.5 hours from the time we got there, therefore they had 3/4 of the restaurant empty with 'reserved' tables. All patrons were cramped in one side of the restaurant trying to talk over the loudness. Won't go back there again. read more

You can not charge $50 for a $10 bottle wholesale, there is a rule for pricing bottles of wine at restaurants, here is how wine is priced. ."Industry-wide markups average two and a half to three times wholesale cost, says Randy Caparoso, a restaurant wine consultant at Wine List Consulting Unlimited. The outside front patio was decent with wooden tables and chairs. The bartender was straight forward and professional but far from a firecracker personality. On weekend nights they have a live DJ playing tunes from a booth 10pm - 2am. They had a really cool backyard play area with that green astro turf, tons of chairs and tables with plenty of games for fun. I could see this area being a blast when busy. In addition, they had at the front of the bar stand up retro arcade games - Street Fighter II, Donkey Kong and Ms Pac -Man. Already knew I was not going to stay here long so I grabbed a quick cold bottle of beer for a reasonable price, left and onto the next bar. Very clean bathroom.
