I've been buying parts from the Rockville Trible's store for years and have never had a bad experience. Sometimes the service isn't warm and fuzzy - they are not Nordstrom - but I don't care about that - and I find that when I smile and engage in a bit of light conversation, my efforts are returned. Other commenters have said they've found parts cheaper on-line but I think Tribles' prices are reasonable (they've even given accommodations upon request) for the very fast service. I don't think I've waited more than a day for an out-of-stock part to arrive. Keep up the good work, guys. read more

Good afternoon DMV. I'm a Appliance Repair business owner, who has been purchasing parts from Tribles in Rockville for about 15 years. This store has always had a high turnover rate when it comes to retaining good employees, but I have to say that they have a employee by the name of Alex, who is the worst employee they have ever had. He by no means should be in a position where he has to interact with customers. I have documented this guy ignoring customers, saying inappropriate things to customers, just very unprofessional. Some of my other colleagues in the industry have also had similar complaints. I've addressed this with his manager and his managers manager, but to no avail. Today I was on hold for almost 20 minutes, and then Alex picked up and said Tribles, and hung up. I called back several times and he hung up. The last time I called, I was on hold for almost 9 minutes, so I had one of my other colleagues call Tribles and he picked up right away. This is unacceptable customer service, and he is showing prejudice toward me. By the way, Tribles has caller ID, so he knows that it's me. I don't have time to play games. I have business to run. I've put off posting for a couple of years, but I'm sick and tired of this guy. Just because there is no competition, when it comes to a local parts distributor, does not justify bad customer service. Something has to be done at this Tribles - Rockville location. The only other alternative for me is to drive to the Tribles in Beltsville, where everyone is pleasant and are about taking care of the customer. But, why should I have to drive 25 miles to get parts, when there's a Tribles - Rockville that is 5 minutes from my house? Doesn't make much business sense. If I and other colleagues don't get some type of resolution soon, we will be writing letters to Mr. Tribles. Part 2 - After I posted the above on Facebook, just yesterday, I was hit with retaliation from the manager at Tribles in Rockville. I arrived at Tribles in Rockville around 8:15 am, as I do normally, and shortly thereafter three Montgomery County Police pulled up, and approached my vehicle. The officer asked me what I was doing there, and I said waiting for Tribles to open so that I could pick up parts. The officer said they received a call that someone reported that I was harassing people. I told the officer that that was a mistake, because I never left my truck, and where are the people I supposedly harassed? I told the officer that the manager of Tribles can confirm who I am and why I'm here. They open at 8:30. When the manager opened the door, I called his name and he ignored me. I was puzzled at first, but when the police officer called his name, I then realized that he was the one who called the police. So the officers pulled out a no-trespassing letter and handed it to me, stating that Tribles in Rockville no longer wanted my business. I've been doing business with this location for 15 years and this rep they hired has been there less than 2 years, and i reached out to management several times regarding his interactions with myself and other customers, to no avail, but as soon as I put my grievances on the social media platform, I get banned from the store. There is no other reason, because I go into Tribles to purchase and pick up parts as a business owner. I told the manager in my last private conversation with him, that I only want to be treated like a customer. I don't know what grounds Tribles in Rockville had that warrants banning me from this location for a year. My next course of action is to contact Mr. Tribles. Terrible. Parts counter reps do not know products. Poor customer service. Really frustrating experience when you have to literally go on their computer to look up the right part and number. Right in the middle of a Stay at Home order, the gas oven died (you can say the oven took one for the team). Worried about supply chains and mail slowing, I opted for the sure thing vice shipping from the heartland, days away. After alot of comparison shopping on line - including checking with Home Depot by phone, the igniter was available and at a fair price, available for pick up, only 5 mins away. OEM (GE) igniter was exactly as described and needed. Trible's rep came to the curb side after processing the charge by phone. Just as a few Youtube videos promised, the repair took less than 40 mins plus gave me a chance to vacuum underneath, clean the glass, and lubricate the door hinges. I went to this store on 4/4/2019 and looking for a refrigerator drawer, one of the employee approached toward me & asked if he can help? I then....yes and I do have the model # and let's enter it in the computer to see if you have it. He then told me wait until he finished shooting the little nerf basketball in the store, this guy is horrible in customers services. He had this obnoxious voice & impolite to customers; anyway after he entered info in the system and told it cost $101.52 .... I then pass on the price and said I can it online around $40. He had this loud voice and said: Good Luck it's not gonna fit. After I went outside and one of the customer also left with me at the same time and he also said: that guy is horrible at customer service. I would not recommend any one go to that store. So just like another reviewer, our Whirlpool electric oven died during the stay-at-home period. My wife's main outlet is baking. After watching youtube diy videos I determined that the problem was the lower (oven) heating element had shorted out. Called Trible's as I really believe in patronizing local stores, and I have bought parts from them in the past. They told me they would have to order the part, and delivery from Whirlpool was taking 10-14 days at this time. I said OK and ordered the part, after acknowledging that it was a special order and non-refundable. Two weeks later, I called to check and was told, Oh, that part is on back order or some such and it will be another week. At that point I knew i could order the part online and have it the next day. I asked couldn't they just cancel the order? The answer was no....now, as I said, I did know it was non-refundable, but since the order was delayed, they could at least have offered to call Whirlpool and cancel it. But no such offer or effort was made. Pretty much the attitude was, "you ordered it so you have to pay for it". I went ahead and ordered the part from one of the national parts suppliers and had it the next day. One week later I got a call from Trible's that the part was in. So bottom line, does anyone need a lower bake element for a Whirlpool oven? Addendum: Apparently, someone at Trible's saw this review, because the day after posting it, they called to check on my "experience". I told them how I felt about the poor service... the rep asked if I wanted to return the item for a refund, that since it was a "stock item" it would be no problem. So I was able to return it... but I shouldn't have had to go through all this and return to the store. read more

My dishwasher needed a part and Tribles sold me a replacement. The part worked correctly, I thought the transaction was complete and was happy. When I got my credit card bill there were two charges, each for a different amount. Only one was the correct charge. When I called them to resolve it, they start giving me the runaround: needing this part number, no that number, oh we can't look up the transaction without a part number. " No I cannot use your name or credit card info to look up the transaction." Several of their employees were rude, belligerent, and utterly unhelpful whether they were talking to me or my wife. Use Amazon or some other company that doesn't come with a side order of a-hole! read more

I needed an extra long 4-prong dryer cord, something that seems to be almost as rare as unicorns. After trying all the big box stores, I called Applianceland and they directed to me to Tribles. I called and the gentleman answering the phone, Dan, told me they could order it and it would be available in 3 days. When I asked if I could get it sooner, Dan checked and found they could get it in 2. Then Dan called me back and let me know he'd found one in stock for me. The whole process took less than 5 minutes. I picked it up yesterday as promised. Great service! read more
