Great experience at Crabdaddy's! We had multiple upgrades on items, but they didn't charge us for any of them! The menu looks a little pricey at first, but salad and sides are included. Tons of food, and we all left very happy and full. Our wonderful waitress Bella brought that Southern charm, was super quick, and really knew her stuff. She even brought my sunglasses back to me when I forgot them at the bar table. These are high-quality employees with real charm and a strong work ethic. It was a little dark for my older parents, but totally understandable. Thank y'all for a wonderful evening--that was the best dinner we had on the island! Highlight: Cinnamon Butter!!! read more

Another great dinner at Crabdaddy's last night! Anne our server was excellent, thank you! The redo of the restaurant is awesome! There seems to be a more spacious feeling to the restaurant and the brick work is now a bit lighter in color. As always, the scallops were cooked to perfection as well as the salmon! This place always has a great vibe! I have written a couple of other reviews on Yelp or maybe it was Open Table for Crabdaddy's in the past and always 5 stars. I've been coming here for 30 years and never have had a negative experience! If visiting or new to the island put this on the list you won't leave disappointed. We were in St. Simon's for a few days recently. We wanted to try this place to celebrate my son's birthday. Boy, are we glad we tried it! The food was amazing. Luke was our waiter and he was top-notch. Some of the items we ordered were the Chicken parmigiana , the snow crab legs and the blackened shrimp dish. Each entree was unbelievably delicious. We all left full and happy. When we visit the area again, I know we will eat at Crabdaddy's! read more

I've eaten here probably five times over the past year and a half and it rarely disappoints. Definitely an island stalwart. You can't go wrong with the crab soup as a starter. Any fish over angel hair pasta is exceptional. Their blackened fish can be hit or miss... had the blackened grouper last week and it was good, but a little heavy on the seasoning, at the expense of being able to taste the fish. And the bread pudding, my god, the bread pudding. This is one of my all-time favorite desserts and I would put Crabdaddy's bread pudding up against any other restaurant on the island. Service is usually excellent, too. Easily in my top five restaurants on SSI. read more

Never disappoints! Started with the East Peach cocktail and we all ordered the scallops, blackened and sautéed, with green bean casserole, garlic mashed, and broccoli and sweet potato as our sides--everything was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I would recommend for families or groups but less so for a couple. The food was good but as a couple we felt hurried. The team are excellent and very efficient, but everything was served so quickly we didn't feel we were able to linger over anything. read more

Very limited parking and gets crowded quickly. I had to go to the car and grab a sweater because it was so cold inside. The service was great, but we weren't overly impressed with any of the food. The artichokes were canned and not good at all. The scallops were good but the steak was just ok. Thankfully, we put the teriyaki sauce on the side because it was super sweet and would of made the steak worse. The mashed potatoes had no flavor at all. The free bread with cinnamon butter was one of the best things and the bread pudding we got to go was decent. We prefer iguana's seafood and expected much more from this place based on the ratings. read more

Definitely recommend a reservation. Parking can be tricky around there. The food is great, no complaints! But.. in all honesty.. I don't care what you order as your main, just save room for dessert because the BREAD PUDDING IS A MUST!! I dream about that dang dish. I would even venture to say I want to plan a whole trip back from Arizona to SSI just for Crab Daddy's bread pudding. Do with that what you will. Enjoy!! read more

Dropped in with friends for a delish dinner. This feels like a comfortable dinner club with great vintage photos on the walls with other pretty decor. There's a beautiful crab stained glass window. Our wait staff-Hannah-was a gem and so kind and funny! She explained specials for us and was so prompt. We all had a drink to start and our dinners came with the house salad. The salad also comes with their trio of house made dressings-ranch, blue cheese and an amazing Italian. For our main, two of ordered the special-Triple Tail fish prepared how you like and a side of your choice. We both had the cheesy grits and those dinner were so fresh and tasty. The. Third person on our party had the Parmesan crusted chicken with pasta and that was also delish. For dessert, we had to imbibe on the fave bread pudding. No raisins, no nuts (which I appreciate!) and a nice crispy crust with a sauce. It was as good as people say it is! The three of us shared the small plate and that was a perfect end to a perfect dinner. Def recommend!! read more

We lucked out with a random quiet night and got seated immediately--such a treat, especially since we're used to waiting 30-90 minutes during Tourist Season on Saint Simons Island. Wow, this restaurant really blew me away! I was on St. Simon's Island for a mini staycation and Crabdaddy's was across the street from my hotel so it seemed like a great idea. Well, I was right! After a 30-40 minute wait, we were seated and ordered the Grouper fingers and scallops for appetizers. The only issue is that there weren't more once we ate them all. They were seasoned to perfection and tasted great. For our main entrees we both ordered the Parmesan crusted salmon pasta which came with a sun-dried tomato basil cream over angel hair. Just FYI: On the menu it says chicken but you can order salmon instead. My goodness this dish was incredible. So much so, we tried to recreate it the very next day at home. I definitely recommend stopping by Crabdaddy's if you find yourself hungry while on St. Simons Island! The food and service are wonderful! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about this place! Food was absolutely fabulous! We started with the Calamari and the Sriracha sauce was delicious. He got the tuna the sear tuna appetizer for his meal. Perfect cooked, tuna was fresh and delicious overall. I got the blackened grouper. As someone that gets grouper at any chance I get, it was the best I've had. The place was very busy but the service was still great. Very attentive and helpful answering all my questions. When we entered on a busy Friday Memorial Day weekend night, the restaurant was packed. The hostess smiled and said how about 2 at the bar? As we sat at the bar we marveled as the 2 bartenders managed the hectic pace well, equally taking care of the regulars they knew by name and the newbies ( us) . The menu is full of mainstay seafood classics with an old school steakhouse vibe. I ordered a triple tail special over pasta and my partner, the crab cakes. Both were great and the giant bowl of ice cold salad before was surprisingly welcome. After settling into the bar and "chit chatting" with fellow bar patrons, our eyes caught their plates. "The blackened grouper and the green bean casserole are on point " said the man who (by the sound of his voice) has ordered it dozens of times. To my left, I noticed my bar neighbor drinking soup from a bowl like a cup of coffee -as he said, "you have to get the crab soup". He was right and I did. Saturday night, after a miscommunication about a popular BBQ restaurants hours, we found ourselves back at crabdaddys. This time it was even busier. We walked over to the bar and were seated in less than 5 minutes. This time we ordered the blackened grouper and green bean casserole. It was delicious. Then our new bar neighbor said the bread pudding is "life changing". So I ordered one. Equal parts crunchy bread pudding and sweet sauce and almost a hint of French toast casserole, it was a great end to another great meal. Thanks crabdaddy's. See you tomorrow ! read more

Have always enjoyed this place for years but not now. Knowing it was Friday, my friends and I arrived early to get a seat at the. The original bartender was awesome but then the "other" one appeared. We were immediately treated as if we were pariahs and were told that we needed to leave because her regulars were waiting. We had not even finished our dessert. My inclination was to only give it four stars, but we really couldn't come up with anything to take a star away. It was a long wait, but not unexpected on a Friday night during summer. They have a great system that shows how long your wait is when the text you. The bread they serve with dinner is very nice and you want to just eat it all before your food comes with that lovely cinnamon butter. The scallops were perfectly cooked in terms of doneness, and not at all chewy, but a seer on them would've been nice. The shrimp and grits were very different than any shrimp and grits I've ever had, but it was a very tasty Dish. The description is very accurate and I would definitely get again. We also ordered the bread pudding, but since it was in a to go box, and not as pretty, as it probably would've been served in the restaurant, we didn't take a picture. It got a lot of rave reviews, so we took it with us. I wouldn't say I was blown away, but at the same time it was tasty. On a picky note, the water they serve must be well water and tastes really awful. Since that's all I drink, I would bring my own next time. read more

I have eaten here many many times and usually really enjoy my meals. Last Sunday we arrived for our reservation to find the front door under construction. They took us through the restaurant and put us at a table behind a wall. I ordered sautéed scallops and they were awful. Literally stewed in brown watery liquid. No sauteeing happened. They were like soft spongy circles in wet brown liquid. My friend ordered the seafood pasta and it came with all these tiny little shells of like mini crustaceans. So bizarre. The pasta was stuck together and gluey. We really didn't find much seafood in the dish. So disappointed. We were really looking forward to this meal. read more

I just dined at Crab Daddy's for the first and last time. We ordered crab cakes and scallops. The scallops were raw inside and lukewarm. The crab cakes were cold and gelatinous. We informed our server Cheyenne M and she couldn't have cared less. We told her we could not eat it and she offered us bread pudding which we refused. She removed 2 full plates from our table and promptly presented us with the bill. All I can think is I hope we do not get sick. $82.39 for inedible food. Update: WE GOT SICK! read more

Reservations are definitely recommended here. It is a large place but broken up into several rooms so it was fairly quiet. I loved the pictures they had on the wall of Sea Island and St. Simons Island back in early 1900s. Service was excellent. Emily did a great job checking in on us and making sure that we had everything we needed. My husband had a cup of the crab soup. It was loaded with crab but he did find it very salty. I had the little neck clams in a house broth and they were delicious. I would definitely get them again. Our entrees came with a salad, warm bread and a side. The salad was served in a bowl to share and was nicely done- tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and a small bowl of hot chopped bacon bits. We each had our own salad dressing. The warm bread was delicious as was the accompanying cinnamon butter. The entrees themselves were okay but nothing special. I had the blackened scallops and the amount of scallops was substantial however I did find them salty and I do not think I would order them again. The baked sweet potato was hot and delicious. My husband had the blackened shrimp and said it was fine. He did really like the side of grits that he ordered. read more
