Some kind of blackened fish with étouffée
    Casey S.

I've eaten here probably five times over the past year and a half and it rarely disappoints. Definitely an island stalwart. You can't go wrong with the crab soup as a starter. Any fish over angel hair pasta is exceptional. Their blackened fish can be hit or miss... had the blackened grouper last week and it was good, but a little heavy on the seasoning, at the expense of being able to taste the fish. And the bread pudding, my god, the bread pudding. This is one of my all-time favorite desserts and I would put Crabdaddy's bread pudding up against any other restaurant on the island. Service is usually excellent, too. Easily in my top five restaurants on SSI.

Never disappoints! Started with the East Peach cocktail and we all ordered the scallops, blackened and sautéed, with green bean casserole, garlic mashed, and broccoli and sweet potato as our sides--everything was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Corinne was our server and she was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. Great food, great service, and a great night out!

Food was amazing, crab was the bestest ever and for a steal. Service was wonderful, they even brought us a dessert for our anniversary. Thank you so much for making it special, the food was absolutely wonderful. Loved the vibes, it was nice without being over the top.

Very limited parking and gets crowded quickly. I had to go to the car and grab a sweater because it was so cold inside. The service was great, but we weren't overly impressed with any of the food. The artichokes were canned and not good at all. The scallops were good but the steak was just ok. Thankfully, we put the teriyaki sauce on the side because it was super sweet and would of made the steak worse. The mashed potatoes had no flavor at all. The free bread with cinnamon butter was one of the best things and the bread pudding we got to go was decent. We prefer iguana's seafood and expected much more from this place based on the ratings.

Dropped in with friends for a delish dinner. This feels like a comfortable dinner club with great vintage photos on the walls with other pretty decor. There's a beautiful crab stained glass window. Our wait staff-Hannah-was a gem and so kind and funny! She explained specials for us and was so prompt. We all had a drink to start and our dinners came with the house salad. The salad also comes with their trio of house made dressings-ranch, blue cheese and an amazing Italian. For our main, two of ordered the special-Triple Tail fish prepared how you like and a side of your choice. We both had the cheesy grits and those dinner were so fresh and tasty. The. Third person on our party had the Parmesan crusted chicken with pasta and that was also delish. For dessert, we had to imbibe on the fave bread pudding. No raisins, no nuts (which I appreciate!) and a nice crispy crust with a sauce. It was as good as people say it is! The three of us shared the small plate and that was a perfect end to a perfect dinner. Def recommend!!

I believe we went on Saturday evening and it was a Special, hope that helps

Next up, the waitress was super nice and attentive. We ordered the deep fried devil eggs...so yummy. The mule drink was mixed well. The burger, fries, cup of stew was also prepared very well. Pricing was good. Will stop back here again.

Stellar cocktails, friendly service, great views, modern design aesthetic, and incredible food. My only gripe is that they do not take reservations, though even on a Friday night, I've been able to get seated within 20-30 minutes, and you can always grab a drink from the bar and hang out on the lawn while you wait. This most recent visit, I started with the seafood chowder, one of my favorite soups on the island. Creamy, hearty, with plenty of fish, shrimp, crab, and potatoes. Shared a crabcake with my girlfriend--another solid choice, with plenty of crab, not too heavy on the filling, and with a lovely remoulade. For mains, we both had the grilled redfish, a baked potato for me, and mixed veggies for her. Perfectly cooked pieces of fish with a nice crust on the outside while still being moist and tender. Dessert this time was the chocolate pie, which was quite nice, not being too heavy nor excessively sweet. Did I mention the cocktails? I'm a big fan of the smokey mango Fiddlerita (a mezcal take on the classic marg), and the saladito a close second (again, mezcal, but with a little honey and cayenne). The girlfriend enjoys the basil smash (hold the simple syrup, please). Previously, we've tried the artichoke dip, which is also fantastic, shrimp and grits (solid, but Reid's does it better), blackened tripletail over creamy leek sauce (a special, and special indeed), and the key lime pie (excellent). You really can't go wrong here.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Been searching for a decent brunch in…read morethe area and my wife suggested Woodside. My experience is that many places just don't deliver the quality expected and I'm often disappointed. I'll have to say, Woodside delivered! This place is clearly elevated, elegant, and the food is prepared with culinary skill. From the moment we stepped inside, I could tell the atmosphere was classy and quaint. We were greeted by our server Buddy and the bartender. My instincts were that this was going to be good. I was still cautious. Buddy seated us appropriately and brought us menus and filtered water. We both started with coffee and to my surprise Buddy brought a large urn of French press coffee, whole cream and sugar cubes, I absolutely love French Press coffee but rarely see it. I make it at home but on occasion see it offered in a restaurant. Definitely a step above. We looked at the brunch menu and found it hard to decide as there were so many interesting selections that I wanted to try. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the Croque Madame. As I deliberated, Buddy suggested that I'd stick with my first impression and that I would not be disappointed. I thought it was very classy the way he presented that and it makes sense that sometimes one should go with their first instinct, rather than wonder if they made the right choice later. Again, there were just so many things I wanted to try. When our meals came out, we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. This was not ordinary breakfast, but I had a good price point for what you get. It was really about the same cost as most breakfast places on the island, but such higher quality and sophistication. I can honestly say this was the best brunch experience I've had in many years and we've frequent a lot of places. The Croque was so tasty, complex and abundant and even the french fries were excellent. My wife's Benedict was also very special as it was rich, fresh, and absolutely clear it was prepared by a chef. The Latkas were a tasty complement. Overall, this was an outstanding experience and I just didn't want to leave. I can't wait to return for dinner to experience it. I believe the menu changes daily and I would definitely recommend Woodside as an elevated dining experience. I am happy to rate this a true 5.0 as it is the best food I've had in the Brunswick/SSI area over the past 6 months. Buddy was great and clearly understands service etiquette. Thanks so much for helping us enjoy a truly nice experience.

The business has a small parking lot it shares with other businesses, there is also a small gravel lot beside it that you can park at. If you go at a busy time, parking can be a chore. Upon arrival, the business was busy with both inside and outside seating filled but we were seated immediately at a table with both bench and chair seating that shared the bench with other tables. There is also bar seating and you can sit at a high top that borders the brew stations. It took a few minutes for us to meet our server who took our drink orders. Soda for her and non-alcoholic IPA for me. It took our server a while to bring our drinks and she forgot my IPA so she had to go find it. Once we had our beverages, we ordered our food. We started with the bacon wrapped blue cheese dates - the dates are served on tooth picks and looked great but the blue cheese overpowered the flavor of everything else. My wife ordered the special of the day (not on everyday menu) which was shrimp tacos with a black bean pineapple salsa and house made chips and fries. I opted for the house burger with cheddar cooked medium and chips and fries. It took a long time for our food to come out and after observing our server chatting it with a table of her friends who were behind us, I am pretty sure she may have forgot to order it in a timely manner. When our food came it was auctioned off to us by another team member (no server to be found). My wife's tacos were overstuffed and fell apart. I tried one and the fried shrimp tasted really fishy to me, not like fried shrimp is supposed to taste. My burger was okay but nothing special. Really wanted to like this place but it did not live up to our expectations.
