Would not recommend this location. Don't get me wrong the staff is nice but some of them are just plain incompetent. I rarely get my hair done because I don't have a lot of free time & I was incredibly excited to finally have a bit of free time and wanted to establish a new salon in the area. I ended up booking a balayage appointment, a blow dry & cut. Immediately I noticed the colorist was going incredibly fast as she was coloring my hair. I even made a comment that I had never seen anyone work so fast which she laughed off. I got the sense that she was working quickly because she had another client coming in and sure enough about 20 mins before my hair was done being colored she left to start working on someone else's hair right behind me. First of all this isn't a good feeling when you're a client and second, this is just ODD. At one point I wasn't sure if she forgot about me or what was going on however she did eventually come back over and send me on to get my hair washed. Fast forward to getting a blow dry and cut (from a different person) - almost immediately we see a hard line of dark color (from brown to blonde) as the stylist pulled up the top layer of my hair, he then lifted up another section and it was the same thing. So instead of the dark color being feathered in like a normal balayage it was just a straight line of dark color into blonde which by the way isn't cute & not the look anyone's going for. We called the colorist over to show her and she at first tried to justify the situation saying that's what I asked for and then quickly moved on to apologizing and wanting to put more foils in my hair to correct it. By this point I had been in the salon for 4 hours & had plans right after. I had a lot of empathy for her as I don't like confrontation or calling someone out and she was visibly chagrined and incredibly apologetic. I simply didn't have time to get my hair refoiled then rewashed & blow dried so I kept telling her I would figure it out. The front desks solution when I couldn't meet their expectation of spending 5 maybe 6 hours in the salon that same day was to pay full price and rebook with another Senior level colorist (that I would also have to pay for). This experience left me really baffled and I won't be returning as the staff lacks realistic and practical solutions. The lack of doing anything to readjust the cost and instead asking me to return and pay full price again to fix the colorist mistake is just not a solution that is customer centric or satisfactory. read more

It should probably say a lot that my two children and I fly from NYC, drive from Schaumburg to Deerfield at least three times a year just to get our haircut with Jerry. The kids call him the "hair magician" and that's literally what he is. Truly magical at his craft! I wouldn't trust my hair, or my kids hair, to anyone else. Jerry has been cutting my hair since I was a teenager (yes, I know I just gave away my age), but he's worth the shout-out! He used to work in Schaumburg and I've followed him to the Deerfield location years ago. The Deerfield salon is adorable and well-kept and everyone there is super friendly. We always feel welcome when we visit, even though it's only a few times a year, and I love that Jerry always treats the kids like mini-adults and loves their hair as much as he does mine. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Tricoci Deerfield. The customer service is wonderful, Alex is amazing for nails, and Sam gives a great haircut. I have also had good massages here. The sweet receptionists at the front desk even let my young daughter use their washroom when we were on a walk and she needed to go :) Would highly recommend this Tricoci location! read more

Another great experience, this time with Deborah for my hair. She was speedy, knowledgeable and most importantly did a great job. I was able to book an additional appointment for a haircut before I left and they were able to take me on my desired day & time (which is super rare for this time of year!) They have excellent products, even if you don't book an appointment the quality of my hair from using their restorative shampoo & conditioner set was vastly improved since my last appointment so purchasing a product from them is highly recommended. read more

I absolutely LOVE Tricoci in Deerfield! I have to color my hair every 3-4 weeks, so I'm here often, and I have a lot of hair. Before finding Tricoci, I used to dread getting my hair done--appointments at other salons took 3 to 3.5 hours, which I just didn't have time for in my busy life. I tried almost every major salon on the North Shore, only to face the same drawn-out process every time. Since discovering Christina and the amazing team at Tricoci Deerfield, everything has changed. Now, I'm in and out with color, cut, and blowout (even highlights!) in just 1.5 hours to 1 hour and 45 minutes max--a true miracle! Christina works quickly without sacrificing quality. My color looks vibrant, and she's even managed to lighten it perfectly so I can stretch my appointments a bit longer to cover grays. I receive so many compliments, and it feels like she genuinely cares about my hair, maybe even more than I do! I've also loved every haircut and blowout I've had here, usually with Antoinette, who nails my style every single time. Thanks to my unpredictable work schedule, I've had cuts or blowouts from nearly everyone on the team, including Samantha, Jerry, Jorge, and Lisette, and I've had consistently wonderful experiences with all of them. I would give 0 stars if I could for Deerfield, IL location. This is the most bizarre and frustrating situation I ever experienced. I paid with gift card that I received from my friend for the service provided, and I was also charged on my credit card. When I called the manager, she told me that this gift card doesn't belong to me and I can't pay with it. Manager also told me, that she spoke with a person who purchased the gift card for me, which was a lie. But the manager left very brief voicemail and never spoke with person who purchased the card. I will never go back to this place. I felt dismissed, I was lied to in a very condescending way. How can you lie like this and not let someone use their gift card? read more

Awful. First time customer. Set up an appointment for the Deerfield location. I called 847-616-1359 @ 3 pm and was told if I could be by 3:30 they could get me in. I got there and said I wasn't in the system. I called back to the phone bank and they said the store set up the appointment and cancelled it at 3:10. The phone bank tried to get ahold of the manager who had supposedly left. I left before she did and called the phone bank as soon as I got to my car. Total cluster and will not be going back. Followed Collette here since the Lombard location closed. She always knows exactly how I like my hair! The coloring area did feel a little cramped with other stylists. Due to coming in covid times they were unable to provide water as they want guests to remain with their masks on. Checkout was a breeze as they had my card on file. I also like that can prebook online vs necessarily having to call into the salon. read more

I love Tricoci and I was so relieved that (most) of the staff from Mynd stayed. I've been seeing Marianne for color for years and she is the absolute best colorist in the game. She consistently listens to my vision and executes to perfection. I receive compliments about my color all the time and how subtle, natural, yet enhanced it looks. I know all the colorists here are extremely talented, but Marianne is my go-to! Not to mention, she is the most personable and bubbly person ever I feel like I could talk to her for DAYS. As for hair styling (they also have an array of talent) but I consistently see Samantha. She is so knowledgeable on everything hair related and will always recommend the best products to suit your needs. Again, all the stylists here are amazing with their work. I recently got my hair done by Jorge and in the past scheduled with Mercedes and they both are incredible!! If you're looking for a hair salon, come here!! They will not disappoint. read more

I just left from what was the best haircut I've ever gotten in my life! Mercedes took the time to recommend a wonderful treatment on my hair that revitalized my highlights, and then gave me the most beautiful, wispy, effortless haircut I've ever gotten! She is a true artist who engaged in conversation while educating me on her process and products. She cared about my hair from roots to ends and showed her true understanding for style and care. I usually see Jerry here but I recently had to go with someone else because he wasn't available. Well, that was a bad idea because the person I ended up with said they didn't use clippers. That's kind of ridiculous for a guy's haircut but whatever. Got hair washed, snip snip snip and they were all done in 10 minutes. My hair was still long but I just gave up and paid/left. If I'm paying $60 for a haircut, the person better know what they are doing. Lesson learned. read more

Do not recommend for hair color! They have ruined my hair! I went for highlights, showed a picture of what I wanted. Ended up with not being able to see any highlights and my existing grown out highlights toned so much I could hardly see them. It looked like just base color and my hair was way too dark. Booked for redo and appointment was cancelled by the salon. Got another redo appointment a week later. Highlights were yellow at my base and clumps of gummy hair were falling off. Colorist tells me that's normal... no way that's from bleach damage! My hair was toned again. Better but now mauvy pink at base of my hair. Highlights are chunky and don't look like the picture I showed. I'm so upset not only the color messed up but now my hair is damaged too. read more

This a great place to go. Adrienne is who I go to see to do my color and I see Samantha for my cut. They both are great listening to the wants and needs and will suggest what is best for me.
