Fun quaint Italian bistro..with pizza and pasta..mozzarella and tomato panini..in between north beach near transamerica..I have no idea what clues I was told..homey and traditions.

Penne Bolognese

Amazing cosy place, right at the bottom of the pyramid! I had the Penne Bolognese on my first visit and the Pizza and Half Panino on my second one and both were perfect ! Thanks Michael and Joe for the friendly service

Since the pandemic began, a lot of North Beach restaurants started betting big on takeout. While this definitely increased options, often times it essentially means the dine-in menu is now put in a box. Which translates to smaller portions and higher prices. Meanwhile, this joint is North Beach adjacent and was takeout focused before the pandemic. That means you get really large portions for a reasonable price. Not quite at the same level as some of the fancy Italian joints, but still very tasty in a comforting way. Rosso Calzone: This was HUGE! The large was basically like a large pizza folded and half. And there was no shortage of filling. A generous amount of ricotta and mozzarella. Also, a pretty good dose of prosciutto. The were a bunch of fresh diced tomatoes inside too. Wasn't a fan of those since they tasted raw/undercooked; might have been better to use stewed tomato chunks instead. Not sure if it's standard, but I made sure to ask that marinara sauce was included. Great for dipping, especially the edge pieces which had more dough. Beef Lasagna: Pure comfort. Thick layers of pasta, lots of cheese and lots of ground beef. I realize a lot of fancy places are into the thin pasta layers, but I always feel cheated on filling with those thin layers. So this more traditional home style with thick pasta and thickly filling was more my speed.

The owner Micheal can speak Spanish and English, the pizza was ready in 10 mins maybe 5. This food is so delicious and crispy crust. The cashier was so nice and helpful.

I've been enjoying the salad combos, 2 and 3 items are a good deal, they're always fresh and there's a good variety to choose from. You can order online so you just go when you need to pickup. My faves are the pasta salad, Mediterranean, and the tuna.

Definitely an underrated local spot in the FiDi. Their hours (and days) are limited, but if you can, you need to give them a try! They use quality ingredients (which you can taste) while keeping the prices reasonable. Again, if you're in the area, do yourself a favour & give them a try. You definitely won't regret it.

So cute! I was walking around and stumbled upon this cute and quaint hole in the wall. The service was good and the espresso hit the spot. If I am ever in the area, I will definitely be stopping by.

First time at Outta Sight Pizza and I was genuinely so impressed!…read more We originally came in hoping to grab four slices of the thick pepperoni and jalapeño, but they only had two left for the day, so we grabbed those along with two other slices. Unfortunately, there ended up being an issue with part of our order, but before we even had the chance to say anything, the team had already taken care of it for us. That honestly stood out to me more than anything. There was no awkward back and forth, no need for us to complain or ask for anything. They noticed something wasn't up to their standard and immediately made it right on their own. That level of customer service, especially on our first visit, was such a great surprise. And the pizza itself was SO good. We ended up having the pepperoni and what I believe was a vodka cheese slice, and absolutely loved both. Great pizza, even better people, and the kind of customer service that makes you want to come back. I unfortunately didn't catch everyone's names, but huge shoutout to the team working today. You guys made an amazing first impression. We'll definitely be back!

No flop Was craving…read moresome pizza and stopped by for a few slices. Order at the counter, and they heat up the slices for you. Mostly went for the thin crust. They make things crisp here. The pizza has charred edges like Neapolitan which adds a nice smokey flavor. The crust has zero flop and a nice golden crust on top. Sauce has a tough of sweetness. I also enjoyed their use of fresh basil and the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano they throw on at the end. It's kinda like a new york slice, but a little gourmet? Very tasty for sure. Critiques: First off, each slice is $6-7, which is a bit steep. Maybe times have changed, but this is def not a budget meal, especially if you are eating multiple slices. Second, some of their already crispy slices have been sitting on display for some time and completely cooled down. When these slices are then reheated, there is a bit of an overcooked taste? Lastly, they only have a few topping options and the quantity of toppings on each slice (especially protein) is pretty sparse. I also ordered a slice of the Sicilian as well to mix things up. It was good, but the crust was just a touch too greasy for me.

I ordered the - Buffalo Wings - How Mushroom The buffalo wings were delicious and although on the pricier side, was just good enough for me to overlook it. It comes with green onions as a garnish with a Bleu cheese dip and carrot sticks. The only negative thing about this was that there wasn't enough carrot sticks. The How mushroom was recommended to me by a staff member and I thought was just a little plain; it was on the more bread side which I'm pretty sure is the standard for Detroit style pizza. In all honesty, I wish there was a bit more toppings to accommodate the amount of bread to topping ratio as this felt more of a cheesy bread sticks from Pizza My Heart. My favorite thing about this place is there were chilled glasses with taps for still water and sparkling water, which was free. In honesty, the sparkling water is an essential need to kill the grease in our meal. Overall, the staff were pretty friendly and helpful during the ordering process, the pizza itself wasn't for me. Would I come again? Only if I'm craving pizza and happen to be in the area.

It was my favorite for 50 years until a couple weeks ago when I ordered a delivery of Gioia. Wow. I stayed over in The City again this past weekend and had Gioia delivered again Saturday. I designed my own pizza with a Margherita Pizza base and then added pepperoni, Calabrian chilis, and anchovy on the side...well done/crispy. The roasted tomatoes are key...depth of flavor, umami-heaven. I'm a pain in the ass, so I call to make sure my pizza is made to spec. The staff, led by Kait, is unparalleled in their willingness to help. I just cannot recommend Gioia enough. I wish there were one in the 925, but Berkeley is as close to my home as a Gioia is based so far. I've not had a pie from Berkeley, but I believe Gioia is completely committed to maintaining the quality of their pizza. Nothing else comes close IMO. I know there's no zealot like a convert...but I'm not just being a fan boy. Oh yeah...the arugula-avocado salad is YUM, and the dressing for it like crack. DO not forget to check the box for utensils. I did not...California is a request the utensils state...and that's how I know how committed Gioia is to customer service: Kait, CALLED ME today after she'd heard I was frustrated.
