Went in on Saturday for a gel manicure. The nail tech punctured my cuticle, leaving it bloody, sore, and puffy for days. The nail tech also aggressively filed my other finger nails I guess to remove the nail polish, to the point where those fingers are now sore too. Not to mention, she added the dip to my nails without my consent in the hopes to upsell and for me to have a bigger bill at the end. If your adding in services I think you should let the client know the cost, but she didn't do that. I messaged the number the next day to let them know what happened with the cuticle being cut and aggressive filing of the skin around my nail. They said they would call me after the holiday which they did. I spoke to someone on the phone that afternoon and they did not offer me an apology and even went as far as to offer me a partial refund. I explained to them that that is not acceptable and a full refund is what I expect. They agreed. I went in later that day to retrieve my refund and still NO APOLOGY. The women instead said "so you don't want to come in and allow us to fix it?" That pissed me off. There is nothing to fix if my cuticle is cut and my other fingers are sore due to the aggressive filing around the nail polish. They gave me a refund and I left. I WILL NOT BE BACK! read more

Been here twice, nails come out nice but I feel like they rush too much and rough with your hands. Both times my nail tech keeps cutting me multiple times with the nail filer. I tell them they cut me and they don't seem to care. I do not want to come to salon and have a stiff hand because I know they are going to keep cutting me. They are fast, but the experience is not comfortable and relaxing. My recent pedicure, the nail tech dropped the lotion in my water and proceeded to use the lotion on me after a quick wipe. Bad salon hygiene. The foot massage was also careless and uneven. She spent more time on one foot and she didn't even do the same things on the other foot. Once the timer went off, she just stopped because she was distracted from what she did earlier. The person that checks you in is very sweet, but they were rushing me to pick my nails when they sat me down. I ask them to give me time to look at what I want, but they immediately started doing my nails without letting me look at anything and kept asking as if I had the opportunity to look. EDIT: The owner from Tril reached out to me and offered to fix my nails. It's not so much the offer to fix my nails that has me changing my review, more like the fact that she took the time to reach out at all. It really shows she truly cares for her business and her customers. Customer service always wins in my book. ORIGINAL REVIEW: First let me start by saying I am on the lookout for my new go to spot, not that my old spot was bad exactly, they just didn't exactly know how to do new trendy nail designs. I came across this place on yelp and decided to try them out because of their good reviews. I also want to add that they where extremely accommodating even after I rescheduled twice (yes I was that ahole customer I'm embarrassed to admit. I walk in and the place looks small but super cute and does not have the spa chairs I'm used to. That's ok with me as long as I get the quality I'm looking for. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. I get introduced to my nail artist. I show her what I'm looking for and here is where I get my first red flag. Every time I ask for her opinion or if she's able to do something it feels like I'm stepping on a nerve. I'm not certain if it's the way I am asking or she's possibly having a bad day but I can tell something is off, which to me throws off the whole customer service experience. In the end she did everything I asked for but I am not 100% happy with the outcome. I have posted a picture of what I asked for and what I received. I payed $110 for the nails and gel pedicure + $10 tip for the artist. The quality in nails is also not quite there, they seemed fine as I was walking out of the salon but literally as I walked through my front door I already noticed one of my nails is chipped, even after I mentioned to my artist that the nails seemed a little thin. $110 dollars for a set that didn't even last the car ride home? I usually love this place! they do a great job especially with pedicures! But this time was so so disappointing. I got a regular manicure no gel and this is how they looked like 3 days after my appointment. Mind you I don't have my hands in water much, they didn't even touch unless I showered. Even when i do my own manicure and I do use my hands they stay on for ATLEAST 1 week. Terrible terrible job. Not to mention the lady who was doing my nails didn't even give me a cuticle clean, as you can see in the photos my cuticles were not even touched or cared for. I definitely should have told her hey you didn't do my cuticles, but I as a customer should not even have to tell them how to do their job. 0/10 I will not be returning back here :((( read more

Pretty clean and good service! I always like to go between pastel and French tip but it's hard to find a place that does good French tip with reasonable price. I like that the lady kept it simple and natural. They suggested powder dip because it can strengthen my nails, which many nail salon does suggest it due to my nails being too thin and weak. I really did like this place. Their customer service and flexibility was always great. Unfortunately, I had a recent bad experience with what I assume is one of the owners/older lady who is always there, wears high heels, reddish hair. I asked for a basic "express pedi," which in turn is the cheapest, with 2 acrylic enhancements. The pedi in itself should've been $30, enhancements $5 each, so an extra $10. I didn't ask for gel, so my total should've came out to $40. Owner came up to me and charged me so she could close the register, didn't hand me my receipt, so I thought to check my bank statement which showed $57 (tip was separate). The math didn't make sense, so I asked to see the receipt because I saw her throw it away and didn't hand it to me. I asked her why it didn't make sense. She claimed I asked for callous removal, which I did not and was sadly really rude to me. Even the nail tech was on my side. She claimed she could not cancel the transaction or void it so I told her since I already paid what would've included gel, if that could be added instead. She told me she still needed to charge me an extra $7, which included a card fee I wasn't aware about. Sadly, she then went on to be very rude to me and was very hostile. I could tell they were speaking about me in their language as they were looking at me and very angrily. Never did I get an apology or anything. I'm bummed because this was my go-to spot on this part of town, but I won't be returning. Owner never came back around either and appeared angry the entire time. I was super uncomfortable and to make matters worse, I was the last one in the salon before they closed. You get what you pay for. I told Lana the owner that I didn't want acrylic but I wanted to strengthen and grow my nails. She recommended the gel nail builder. It's a little pricey but it is just what I was looking for. The first time I went in, Katie did my nails a little thicker than I'm used to. I'm sure if I had spoken up at the time she would have gladly fixed it. The next time I went in I let Katie know just what I wanted and she did a great job! Ladies!!! I can honestly say-- it has been a very long time since I walked out of a nail appointment feeling so happy about my nails. For a long time, I've had a bad cycle of color dip because my nails are so bad. It's like a vicious cycle. I need dip to keep them from breaking but then i need to change the dip and they just get weaker. So I called over to Trill after a bad colored dip job FROM A DIFFERENT salon and explained how frustrated I was. Lana said, it sounds like you should do clear dip and then just use gel nail polish. This makes it less aggressive and harsh on your nails when you come in for a "fill". They simple take off the color layer and add the clear dip to your nail. They don't need to file/drill all the way down to the bear nail. Hoping this will help the nail not weaken as much. They look AMAZING. Lucia took her time and really focused on making them look natural. I will be back and Lucia is my GIRL!!! Also, this place is adorable and clean. They have amazing music videos playing like back in the good ole' days of MTV and VH1. They offer water and snacks and are nice. This is the third time I've been to Trill Nail Parlor. They were super flexible with scheduling and I love that you can text them. I decided to splurge and get the Deluxe Mani and Pedi that includes Paraffin Wax, which was a first for me. Even though I "splurged" pricing was super reasonable for what you get. This is the least expensive place I've been to in the area, and it's also the cleanest/most tidy which is pleasantly surprising! Love the spa vibe. Cindy did an excellent job with my pedicure and Kevin did a good job with my manicure. It was nice and relaxing overall especially with the Eucalyptus scent soak.
