Menu was plentiful with Italian favorites and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the chicken piccata which was some of the best I've had. I ordered DoorDash. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered the Shrimp Milano with veggies. I honestly thought I was getting veggies with the pasta but after it arrived I saw there was no pasta then I noticed on the receipt it said substitute for vegetables. I had every intention of going to Purple Garlic but they are closed on Sundays and wanted local Italian. I was hesitant going here because it only had 3 yelp stars. BUT yall this place is amazing! The cook was outstanding today! We had the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was DELICIOUS ! I had the chicken Alfredo and the chicken was my favorite it was not dry and super flavorful and fresh. Everything was fresh. My husband had the grilled chicken and it came with some angel hair pasta on the side and he rly liked it. The waitress brought bread sticks to the table and they were warm and fresh too. I don't know why this place was empty on a Sunday at 4pm. This place is definitely worth a try. A bit pricy but worth it. I will definitely be coming back. The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. I want to add I saw a prior review about the music, there was no music when I came. So I found this little spot by coincidence the other day and had to try it out. The atmosphere is very nice and the hostess was great. I wish I would've gotten her name because she really did an amazing job. She was a young girl I actually could not decide between two dishes, and I told her to surprise me, so she did the chicken Napolitana and it was amazing. I loved everything about it to include the lemon butter sauce on the angel hair pasta. The portion was very big so the price was not too bad. I have to point out that TV in their vents or very dusty and the server that I pointed it out to, didn't seem too concerned about what I brought to his attention. However, in the business that I work, it is some thing we just automatically see, and when you sit at a restaurant having that above, you and your food is not a good luck or I hope they take care of that and take that into consideration. read more

This was one of the first places I had lunch when we moved to Stone Oak. It is also one of the first places everyone that visits me wants to go. It has a great selection for all the different pallets and has a great wine selection. My two favorite things to get are the escargot with cristini's and the mussels in the white wine and butter sauce. We have also tried the Sea Bass and the salmon. Both were fantastic. I have not had anything I don't like from here. We also love the patio for spring lunches and late night gatherings. The staff is so nice and very knowledgeable as well. The food at Milano is actually pretty good. I've had multiple things from their Shrimp Milano, Mustard Chicken, Chicken Marsala, and Lasagna. Of those things the Lasagna is fine, probably not my favorite on that list (I actually love the Mustard Chicken!). Ceasar salad and lentil soup are always also solid as is the Italian Wedding soup. Service is also good and always friendly. But their live music is wretched. It is usually a one man/woman gig with prerecorded tracks turned up to an ear bleeding level...think cruise ship karaoke, but worse. I actually refuse to eat in house anymore because the "live music" absolutely destroys the experience. If you are going to eat here, just save yourself and get it to go. That way you can enjoy some decent (slightly better than average) Italian food and actually enjoy a conversation with the people you are dining with. Note to the restaurant...PLEASE STOP THE LIVE MUSIC. IT JUST ISN'T GOOD AT ALL!!! read more

Perfect perfect place for some YUMMY and FRESH pasta. We sat at a high top table next to the bar, got waters and they gave us some fresh bread with seasoned olive oil while we looked at the menu. There was about 6 other occupied tables, and they had some games playing on the 3 TV's they have. I ordered the Linguini Prosciutto and had 2 glasses of white wine. The pasta was amazing, it was literally STEAMING, that's how fresh it was. They give a great amount, I ended up taking more than half of it home for leftovers. We both ordered water since we just came from working out. Our dip arrived very quickly as well as the entrees. Our entrees were delicious and seasoned well. Attended a friend's bday dinner and was greeted with exceptional service, even though we were a very large group all food came out timely and every order made perfectly. The Chicken Napolitana was sooooo delicious, tender chicken, perfectly light fresh sauce and loved the mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. I feel like I could write a love story about this place. "The Boy I Always Passed Up" I have been living in Stone Oak for about 4 years now and I can't tell you how many times I overlooked Milano. My husband ended up meeting one of the waiters that has worked there for many years and he talked the place up. We had a date night and went there for Happy Hour and I could not believe we have been missing out. We sat at the bar area, the bartender was freaking awesome with his suggestions and knowledge. He said he made the happy hour menu and I believe him, he knew it like the back of his hand. From start to finish everything was hot, fresh, delicious, full of flavor. The crab cakes concerned us because of that red sauce, we thought it would be heavy and unbalanced but it worked! It was so light and paired perfectly. The Caprese Salad came out before our entrees and it was cool, crisp and clean, felt like it was clearing our pallet for the main entree. I cannot eat gluten so the bartender told me all the ways the food could be customized because it's made to order. NOTHING disappointed! Everything was a 10! read more

Well, this is a tough review to write since my expectations were high from my neighbors. Let me start with the bread, it is the dryest, hardest, worse piece of bread we've ever encountered including 5-day-old bread at outlets. It was absolutely horrible. My son threw his veal parmesan in the garbage. My meatballs and spaghetti were terrible. The meatball was packed tight like it was full of spam yet it was called beef. We also had the chicken piccata and this was eaten. If you want a glass of water with your drink - it is tap water. Trust me, you don't want to drink tap water here. We had a great waiter, yet he has no control over the quality of the food. Lastly, this food is way overpriced considering the fact you'd eat better at Olive Garden. Very sad, indeed, because the location is great, we need a great Italian restaurant here and the environment was depressing. I think we'll stick with Aldino's in the Vinyard. Real chefs do not work here and if they do I'm sorry for their skill set. I hope they improve their food! read more

However, we have been eating here for many years using Restaurant.Com Certificates and this time the Manager told us they stopped honoring them since 2019. We know this is untrue since we have used them in the past months with no problems! Service was excellent though and the manager did give us a 20% discount in lieu of the certificate. The menu they had available was way smaller than the menu they advertised on their website - a little better than a school cafeteria menu, but with high end restaurant prices. So be warned. We wanted to get pizza for our son, but alas, they don't make pizza despite their online menu having an entire pizza section. Seriously take the online menu and cut it down by 70-75%. Next they were out of 2 beers I wanted & a dessert I was looking forward to. It was NYE so they were probably understaffed in the kitchen, which explains our long wait for our food, but it was still way over priced for it's quality. I got bland protein free fettuccine Alfredo for $20, it would have been $7 more chicken. My partner got chicken Marsala that way too sweet. The tiramisu we ordered had ice crystals in it as well. It was kept way too cold. Honestly, we enjoyed nothing we ordered and paid $100+ for a meal I can make better at home. Skip this place! Try Fratellos Deli instead. read more

We hadn't been here since before COVID, but I was in the mood for some veal. Since this is the only place close by that serves it, here we are. If you're just driving on Stone Oak Parkway, you might miss it. It's not very big, but it's worth the stop. When we walked in, we were greeted with a solo keyboardist who apparently was taking requests. It can get a little loud sometimes, but the music does add a little something to the atmosphere. We ordered a couple drinks and our appetizer. I got the raspberry lemon martini and my husband got the amaretto sourtini. Both were good. Mine was very strong even though my husband didn't think so. We got the fried mozzarella sticks which were okay. I'm not really a cheese person, and my husband who is sort of a cheese connoisseur said they looked and tasted like they were frozen. For our main dishes, he ordered his usual, chicken Parmesan, and I ordered the veal Marsala. His was okay. Mine was okay too. The sauce was amazing! But the veal was a little dry. I don't remember it being dry the last time we were there, but that was a while ago. Still tasted good and still finished it. And finally for dessert (sorry, no pictures), we got the creme brûlée and the New York cheesecake. Both were delicious! I also ordered a chocolate martini to finish the night. It was very good as well. I like the place, and we will probably go back. However, it's kind of expensive for the quality of food we got. I would rather go to Maggiano's for a nice dinner out or Olive Garden for a casual one. read more
