She received a quote and sent me the phone # to schedule since she was busy at work. I reached out, sent photos, and awaited a response. The person I was texting asked if we were looking for reoccurring service or the one time weed removal when I replied requesting just one time service I didn't hear back. I texted again requesting an estimate, no response. Texted again the next day on Wednesday and they finally requested my information. I sent my info, received an email to sign an estimate agreement and after signing and sending it right back I received no response. I texted back that we would be going with a different service who was able to schedule us in. I'm usually really patient but the lack of communication is what bothered me. They were quick to reach back out after sending initial photos but after I opted for a one time service instead of reoccurring services is when I stopped hearing back so quickly. No shade at all if a business doesn't want to offer their services or prefers bigger projects but I would have appreciated better transparency and communication. I'm sure others have had more positive experiences but for me personally I wouldn't recommend this business. I believe in treating every customer with the same respect and willingness to communicate regardless of project size.

Over the summer he has almost completely killed our grass. He misdianosed a leak and had his guys waste time taping up holes in a soaker hose with electrical tape. (The whole point of a soaker hose is to have small holes. ) I have no knowledge of landscaping but figured out how to turn on the various sprinkler zones and found out it was a broken sprinkler head. His team sometimes doesn't show up or they leave early, but we still get billed. There are pampas bushes he promised to trim a month ago and they are still growing. How do you trust a company that can't even keep the grass alive? We are firing them and going to another company. This company has cost us thousands in dead plants.

Curtiss is highly knowledgeable, professional, experienced, and a pleasure to work with. The level of communication was refreshing, and Curt's Land Patrol truly lived up to their stated objective of "providing personal service with excellence." At every step, we had clear expectations, and Curtiss and his crew delivered exactly as promised. We were especially impressed by how quickly they were able to start the job. The quality of the work was top notch, and instead of dragging the project out for another month or two, they worked every day and had everything wrapped up in a couple of weeks. Their price was also very reasonable, and the payment schedule was fair: one installment around the halfway mark, after hauling away some hardscape/dirt, prep work, and irrigation installation, and the final payment once they had completed the job. Another thing that stood out was the complimentary 45-day weekly service, with on-site maintenance to make sure the plants are adjusting and the landscaping is solid. I grew up in a time when that level of care and follow-through was the norm, and it felt like old school landscaping service in the best way possible. At the risk of sounding like an ad campaign for Curt's Land Patrol, I can't recommend them enough. They will be our go-to landscaper as long as we are in San Diego.
