After driving more than 30 miles with my low fuel light on and that annoying audible reminder of how stupid you'd feel if you run out fuel on the side of the highway at 7:00 AM I was glad to find this place. At his point I thought $3.88 a gallon was a bargain and I could of cared less about any attitude the attendant displayed, I bit the bullet and filled this gas sucking beast to the max and felt pretty good about he experience. The station was well maintained and clean and the window washing station was filled with soapy fluid to wash off all the bugs I murdered getting to this point so life was pretty good for me, sorry for your luck bugs... read more

Was up the coast for a camping trip. Used my credit card to get gas. Only time I had used it the entire trip. Within 24 hours I had a fraud alert from my credit card company. either they don't check for skimmers or worse. Pay cash only here! read more

Everyone at this store always goes above and beyond for your needs. The bathrooms are clean. The store is well stocked and the coffee machines are my favorite. Wish I had a cool coffee maker like this in my own home. The manage of the store (Crystal) she's always so quick to help and she has a pleasant way about her. Her customer service is 100%. I will definitely be coming back here just to see her and the friendly staff. read more

Often times the pumps don't work but no one bothers to put a sign on it. When I finally went into the market to ask what was wrong he told me this happens all of the time! Why don't they fix it!!? It's the only gas station for miles. read more

A seemingly innocuous purchase turned into a customer service nightmare. I purchased gas and a Reese's peanut butter cup and when I returned to my car and opened the Reese's, it was completely melted and looked pretty bad. I returned to the counter, showed the girl behind the counter, her response was "Yea, looks like a defect" to which I replied "I'll grab another one". As I began to exit the store and opened the second Reese's, it too, was bad and I returned to the counter showing her this one was bad as well. Her response was "Stop opening the Reese's!" I was a bit taken aback by the tone of her response and during the pause she claimed I'd have to pay for the second one as well. I asked for a refund to which she reiterated that I should be paying for the second Reese's. At this moment I was so incensed by her tone and lack of customer service that I almost walked out without my refund but thought better of it as I reached the door. She did give me my $2 back but not without a bunch of nonsense. I will be the first to admit that this incident and the review I've left here while trite, serves to inform the station owner as to the kind of service put forth by their employees. By looking at some of the other reviews left here, it appears I'm not the only one to receive sh*tty service. P.S. I'm serious when it comes to Reese's and these looked like a cat sh*t in them. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Came here to turn in some lottos, buy some roadtrip snacks/drinks and get gas on July 7th at around 7pm. My father-in-law turned in his winning tickets for more tickets but they were out of most of their tickets. After going back and forth with the employee my FIL finally comes to the conclusion that he just wants to cash out the tickets since they don't have any games for him. I'm standing 2 people behind him as the cashier, I believe his name was James, claimed to be his last day and couldn't care less if he cashed him out even though he was supposed to get tickets (keeping in mind that they were out of most of their tickets). As my FIL walks out of the store the employee looks at all of us in line, rolls his eyes, and muttered under his breath "dumb f***ing..." Which at this point I cut him off and said "I hope you're not talking about my FIL" in which he replied "probably" and tried to defend his unprofessional statement at this point I placed everything down and told him I wouldn't be buying anything from this store ever. I love the professionalism, and hope it really was his last day in any customer service. read more

Tried to get propane 2 different days and store clerk says he's not in the clock the first day, so I come back next morning and same clerk has me waiting for 20 min along with another customer. I'm never going here again when I camp in Trinidad. read more

I don't expect a lot in terms of "service" at a stop-n-rob freeway gas station, but the employees here are horrendous. Besides being completely indifferent to my existence as a living being, let alone a paying customer, I was overcharged for an item I never even thought about buying. When I pointed it out the cashier and her sidekick got perturbed like I had made the mistake. When she refunded my money I didn't even get the sales tax back, but I didn't care...I just wanted to leave. Aren't jobs in high enough demand these days that we don't need to hire bitter high school drop-outs with entitlement issues? What sort of life lessons do these "kids" learn if they don't end up getting fired for treating business patrons this way? BTW...no matter how hungry you think you are at 5AM before salmon fishing, stay AWAY from their "homemade" breakfast burritos. Yuck! Shame on me for even trying one! "Bacon and egg"? What a horrible experience! We stopped to buy snacks/cold drinks and to use the restroom. There was a sign on the restroom door that said to get a key from the cashier, however, the restroom door was standing wide open so we proceeded to use the restroom. There were 4 of us in the group and after the first person used the restroom, the male attendant began yelling at us about not being able to read the sign and get the key. I informed him that we didn't need a key to a door that was standing open, but he continued his rant about us "not being able to read". A female attendant handed us the key and said don't worry about it. He continued his loud rant for several minutes. A male customer approached the counter a few minutes later while we were still in the store and we heard the male attendant tell the customer how he "hated this effing time of the year when people were too stupid to read a sign on the bathroom door". This was the most insulting and rude individual I've ever encountered in a customer service position. We read the sign, we understood the sign, but to request a key to an open door made no sense. What is the purpose of the key when the door is unlocked? I realize someone else could have requested the key and walked into the restroom while one of us was in there, but we were a group and were watching out for each other to ensure that didn't happen. This "man" made a very big deal about something so insignificant and insulted us badly. We left the store without purchasing anything at this point due to his behavior. I bought a cup of coffee, no gas and paid with a 20 dollar bill. The cash back was $ 18.31. The attendant put $ 17.31 on the counter. When I said the cash back is $ 18.31 he casually said: "One more? My bad." I did get my correct cash back, but I will never give my business to this gas station. read more

I would have five stars but I would like to know where Christine is that works in the Mckinleyville Chevron? She was the best employee you could have had. Very sweet, upbeat person. I really hope she will be back soon or I will not come in there. The only reason I go there now is for Sutters Mudd coffee. Cheryl and Kendra are amazing. I noticed there has been a few different managers every time Ive gone in there. Hopefully you guys get it figured out soon. And hopefully I will see Christine working SOON!! read more
