Almond Green Tea Milk w Boba
    Bridget B.

So happy I stumbled upon this boba shop! It's a total gem in the area. It's unlike any other boba shop i've been to in SD - definitely one of the most authentic in flavor, menu, and aesthetic. I loved how many menu options there were and how much seating as well! Definitely a good place to study. The Almond Green milk tea with boba was solid - a STRONG almond flavor. I'd probably try something else next time. The boba was cooked to perfection! This is definitely a must hit for boba lovers.

It's a much needed boba spot in the area and great for when I need a quick sugar fix in the neighborhood. It has a parking lot that can be a little hectic during midday. I got the taro milk tea which is always a solid choice from this spot. I got it to go but it looks like a lot of people come here to work/study as well

Taro Milk tea with boba and cheese foam. Delicious!!

The staff are super friendly and accommodating to me and my chihuahua. The location is Greta and there are lots of parking. My Taro Milk with boba and extra cheese foam on top was delicious. I will definitely recommend my friends and family here. I will be back again with Lola soon. Thanks Trinitea!

This boba shop has the vibes of a cafe, there's plenty of seating and it's quiet. It's perfect for students or folks trying to get some work done. The ladies that were working were really friendly and were able to answer my questions quickly. Thai Tea is my litmus test for Boba shops and they passed, the cheese foam is nice addition as well. I'll be sure to stop next time I'm in the area.

It has been a long while since we've been here. Place looks the same. Quiet. Nice soothing jazz music playing in the background. Not crowded, but steady flow of people coming in. This time we got an açaí bowl with our usual mango slushee with honey boba & mango boba. Satisfied my boba craving without having to go to convoy.

With a cute name and an extensive drinks menu, this place is great for that midday milk tea fix. Everything from a whole list of different flavored milk teas to smoothies and even some coffee drinks, there's something for everyone here. They offer choices of different mix ins and even sell some pastries like macarons. Get a table inside or snag a small one just outside and enjoy the sun while you sip your delicious milk tea. Even though they were pretty busy, the drinks came out within minutes. Easy parking in the lot out front. A great local spot that I'll definitely get again.

    Rose Milk Tea 0% sugar

We came on a Sunday afternoon and found parking easily. The shop was busy but no wait in line. I got the Rose Milk Tea with 0% sugar, and it was still sweet. She took my order and went to make the tea while I was paying, and it was ready when I finished paying. The drink is simple (rose powder and non-dairy creamer), so I guess that's why it was so fast. We sat outside, and we went inside to use the restroom, which was clean but didn't have paper towels. I think this is an okay option in the area or if you have a craving or just want to hang out somewhere. I saw people studying and some board games to play there too inside.

Another great tasting boba tea shop, the manager really knew his stuff on the different types of teas and where and how they are grown etc. Ordering was a cinch and wait time wasn't bad at all. For sure will be back!

Just got done hiking Cowles Mountain and wanted a smoothie. I ordered a lg strawberry mango. It may be the best smoothie I've had plus it's very reasonably priced. Great job!!! 5* all the way!

It kind of sucks that this boba tea shop is tucked away in this business plaza off of Navajo Rd. Makes it hard to find. I wanted a better boba tea than the one I ordered from my coworker the other day. That one featured very hard and difficult to swallow boba balls plus the tea didn't really taste all that good. I wanted the lychee black tea, which I got really quickly, and ended up tasting very good. The boba was softer and chewier than the boba I had the other day, which is a net plus. The shop has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I like the multitude of board games available in that cupboard that was on the side of the interior.

I had barely had a chance to have lunch so was really happy to randomly see a coffee shop to grab a cold coffee on a hot day to bring with me to my hair appointment. Parking was easy and I walked into the coffee shop. There was no wait at all at that time. I browsed the menu and decided on an iced Simple Special which was basically an iced mint latte. I ordered it with nonfat milk I waited for only a couple of minutes for my drink to be made. During that time I saw that they were playing records and had several records for sale. That was really cool. If I lived in the area I would definitely hang out and listen to records while sipping on coffee. The reason for only 4 stars.... my charge was abut $8 which felt a bit stiff for only the 16 oz drink. It made me wary of what a 20 oz would cost. All in all, I had a good experience at The Simple Coffee House. My drink had good flavor without being overly sweet. I liked the records and the vibe at the coffeehouse.

I needed a quick coffee to end my day and after searching the best coffee in La Mesa, Red White and Badass Brew was the first to pop up. The owner was super nice-I didn't get his name-and he walked with me through the menu as I haven't had specialty coffee drinks like these before. I went with his recommendation of the whiskey latte (iced) and also decided to try the toasted tan lines (iced) When I tell you, my first sip transported me back to the 2013-2016 era of coffee culture when specialty drinks were first starting to get popular, I am being so serious. Both the whiskey latte and toasted tan lines were full of so much flavor. The toasted tan lines took me straight back to my trip to Kauai in 2013 and the whiskey latte was reminiscent of a latte I would get in middle school from a Brazilian small business. There was just something so nostalgic about these lattes that I had to immediately write a review. Becky and I are not well versed in the world of fancy coffee, so we typically rely on those we are with to provide recommendations. Saturday we were on our own. We wanted a late afternoon pick-me-up and Kaffee Meister is a very short distance from our house. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the pleasant young woman behind the counter (I did not catch her name). I asked for two caramel iced coffees. She very nicely and patiently explained to me the different options of my generic "iced coffees" term. Lattes, cold brews, espressos, etc. Her recommendation was Caramel Frappes, so that is what I ordered. One with whipped cream (for Becky) and mine without. As I waited, I looked around the room. It was really cool. Very homey, neighborhood cafe vibe. A few tables and a couch and comfy chairs along with some tables and chairs dotted the room. The room was really nicely decorated. I liked the spiral staircase shelving. They have some outdoor seating as well. In addition to coffees, they offer a food menu. Pastries, bagels, açaí bowls, sandwiches and the like. I drive by Kaffee Meister almost daily and often I will see that they have live music which is cool. I waited maybe three or four minutes for my name to be called, and I was handed my two frappes. I like a simple cup o' Joe. Black, no sugar, no sweeteners. At home I drink Kirkland brand ground coffee from a drip coffee maker. That said, I really enjoyed the Caramel Frappe. It was not too sweet and retained subtle coffee flavor. Becky very much enjoyed hers too. Neither of us had ever had a frappe before. We were surprised by the milkshake-like creamy texture. They provided the perfect pick-me up we were looking for. About 17 bucks after tip. We'd return for sure.
