Worst service ever. I took a day off of work 3 different days and I was stood up by this company every time! My dishwasher has been broken since Febraury 27th. The service tech ordered the wrong parts after he stood me up 2 times. He can, had the wrong parts, got the correct parts in 2 weeks later after I kept calling. He continued to stand me up 1 time and my husband 1 time on a Saturday. No effort to call or apologize. Still can't get him to call me back. I'm new to the area and this was my first occasion to need appliance repair - a failed double oven. I checked Yelp's ratings and chose Trinity based on the ratings. It was my first contact with Trinity. I was VERY pleased. They were courteous (check!), they came on time (check!), they quickly diagnosed the problem (check!), they promptly made the repair (check!), and the price was fair (check!)! Trinity is not knowledgeable about how to repair LG appliances. We called Trinity to fix an LG dishwasher. The service technician acknowledged that he was replacing a part based on the instructions from the LG hotline. When the dishwasher failed within a day of the part replacement, the technician returned and admitted that he did not know why the dishwasher was not working. His next suggestion was to replace the component that controls the electronics - a very expensive part. We called a different repair service that knew how to troubleshoot LG appliances. It turned out that the problem was unrelated to the electronics - there was an issue with the connection between our sink / water supply and the dishwasher. Calling Trinity was a waste of time and money. We were without dishwasher for the 10 days required to order and replace the part. We paid Trinity for the repair / part and the dishwasher broke immediately. read more

Very happy with Trinity fixing my daughter's Samsung stove, which had the panel go out while I was running the self clean. Richard came out & was able to fix it for less than I was originally quoted, which is always nice. Also, he noticed that the plug and outlet looked burnt, so advised me to call an electrician, and even recommended one, who I called & was able to come out on the same day. Based on many good reviews on Yelp, I called Trinity at 4:57pm on Thursday; I was pleasantly surprised that they answered the phone, since they close at 5pm! Richard was polite and helpful, and scheduled a service person to come by on Saturday - another nice surprise! I'm used to businesses expecting me to take time off from work since they don't work on Saturdays, and then they often give you a four-hour window and may or may not get there during that time period. Richard gave me a three-hour window, which overlapped my 2-year-old 's naptime. I asked if he could ask the service person to come toward the beginning of that window if possible because of the nap, and Richard offered to have the service guy swap timeframes with another job scheduled that morning if the other customer okayed the change! Peter (the service guy) arrived an hour before the original scheduled timeframe and called 30 minutes before that to let us know he was on his way. He was polite and quick and very kind to my inquisitive 6-year-old - even let him sign the invoice below my signature. :) He very quickly let us know that our washer could be fixed, but that the parts alone would cost more than a new machine. I asked for recommendations for good brands, and he gave me two, including specific model number recommendations for one brand. He then said we could continue using our machine for the time being and suggested looking for a deal in the Black Friday sales. I was impressed with Trinity's professionalism, speed, and honesty, plus being nice to my kids always earns points! :D The only thing that would have been better for me would have been if Richard had told me in the initial phone call that most washers only last for 10-12 years, and saved me the cost of the service call... but if they did that, they'd probably go out of business quickly and I would be at the mercy of people who'd want to sell me $800+ for parts and labor on a $600 machine. read more

Our heating element in our Kenmore dryer has been on the fritz. It officially went kaput on Wednesday night. I called Sears, where we purchased it from, and they couldn't get here until next Wednesday. WIth 2 little kids and a business trip next week, that wasn't going to work for me. I called Trinity after reading the great reviews and Dwayne was sent down promptly this morning (Friday). He fixed the element in a timely fashion and the price was just about what I expected to pay. After I read up on YELP, I chose Trinity Appliance Service over many other services out there given to me by Google. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with their service. I called them and they said to have a guy coming out to take a look at my Microwave, I will have to pay 100$ for the consultation fee. HOWEVER, if I decide to go ahead and let Trinity fix it, I will get the reimbursement. I Know I have every intention to have it fix so OK that sounds reasonable. I was scheduled for a guy to come out. He was on site for 15 minutes. He didn't even bring any tools! He looked at the Microwave and only based on what we told him and diagnosed the problem (if this is it, WHY DID WE EVEN NEED HIS EXPERT ADVICES?). He said our microwave is old and he doesn't know if he can even find parts for it. It was during closed to Labor Day Weekend and he said he will try to look for the parts and will GIVE ME A CALL after the holiday.. Guess what???? HE TOOK $100 and never even have a common courtesy to call or come back. read more

Prompt service and a very pleasant technician named Eric. However, after researching other companies and parts I found I was definitely over charged. Our pressure switch need replacing and while my husband tried to fix he inadvertently broke the ignitor. Trinity's charge for the pressure switch was reasonable. However the ignitor was charged at $275. When I called to clarify the charges with the owner, he was very condescending and said, "I would have charged you more." I asked to clarify how much he thought I should be charged and he replied, "$250 to $300 depending on access to the heater. If it were in a crawl space it would be on the higher end." My furnace happens to be in a finished basement and is easily accessible making his statement unjustifiable. I understand he needs to make a profit but feel we were swindled after finding the part for $30 on the internet. This was unfortunate because I chose Trinity based off the reviews on Yelp. So, my recommendation is to ask how much the parts and service will cost before the work is rendered and after the problem is diagnosed. Once the problem is known, call around for estimates. I will not use Trinity again because how the owner treated me when I called to verify accuracy of charges. read more

I called on a Saturday and was scheduled for service (refrigerator repair) on Monday. Not ideal but not bad. Unfortunately, I had work commitments, so my wife was in charge for the service visit. That shouldn't be a problem, but the rest of the review is based on her experience as shared with me. The short version is that the guy who came had a negative attitude and didn't treat our house (and our belongings) as our HOME. He didn't seem to care; he was just there to do a job, do it as fast as possible, and get the invoice filled out and charged. He slammed the refrigerator door open so hard that he dented the wall (something that our three young kids have never done!), he used a metal chisel to hack away at the plastic interior of our refrigerator, he tossed the contents of our freezer here and there (and didn't bother to put them back). What I really want when I need service like this is someone who cares and who I feel I can trust. I did not get either or those things from this experience. read more

I called this company b/c of the good yelp reviews. The service tech did a good job with the repair of my dryer. I called Trinity to see if they might be able to work with me on the washer inspection fee. I spoke with the owner, Richard, who was not was not at all interested in working with me on the issue i had nor did he show any interest at all in making sure i was a satisfied customer. That's OK, I accept his decision. The one thing that truly burned me is that I never got the yelp discount that was offered. Richard said "sorry, you need to provide a coupon at time of service." With that, I felt robbed. He said "yes, if you go read the fine print, it mentions that." I came to Yelp to write this review and the current coupon (at time of this review) says "mention yelp" to get your special/coupon. NOTHING about needing to present coupon at time of service. I called back to let him know what Yelp says, and guess what? He still didn't care even though Trinity has it noted in my intitial call that I MENTIONED YELP. I do not recommend this company. 12/7/11 - In response to comment below from the owner - I mentionied yelp and mentioned the discount. There are many other details that deserve a mention, but i don't have the time. Long story short, If you own your own company, you should empower yourself, whether you're handling issues a day later, a month later or a year later, not just AFTER you find out that your customers' opinions do matter. read more

The Trinity Tech came out to repair a leaking fridge water dispenser and determined the holding tank was cracked. He quoted me a price of $234.00 to replace it with labor, which seemed pretty steep to me, but I needed it done. He requested that I pay him half now and half when the part was delivered (they needed to order it) which I did. After 7 days with no contact from the company, I called to check on the status, only to be informed that the part was on backorder for 75 days! Needless to say, I let them know I could not wait that long and requested a refund, which they agreed to, minus the service call fee. To make a long story short, I have now waited nearly 2 MONTHS to get my refund check from them. I have spoken to the girl at the office more than 5 times during that time and each time she has claimed that the "check is in the mail" and each week it has not shown up. The excuse given was that the girl was either sick or on vacation, yadda yadda yadda... It's totally unacceptable that this girl is the only person that can send me a refund check in the entire office and that it should have to take months to get a simple refund. What's even more outrageous is that I called Sears to see if I could get the replacement tank and they shipped it to me in 3 days. I have no idea how Trinity got the information that it was on backorder for 75 days. Trinity may be good with repairing appliances, but my experience with their office staff's complete lack of follow-through, lame excuses and poor communication gives them 1 star... I will NOT be using them in the future due to this experience. read more

As a younger woman who does not know much about a/c and furnace repair, I feel like I was taken advantage of by Trinity Services. I had called to get a price quote and I said exactly "to CLEAN and check out my air conditioner to make sure it is working optimally." They charged me $99 to do a couple tests and to look at the blower only to tell me it would be another $300 to clean that. So basically I feel like I paid $99 for nothing at all. I have a 7 year old side-by-side Kenmore refrigerator/freezer. The ice door wouldn't open up to let ice out of the chute. I've had issues with Sears (where I bought the appliance), so I called Trinity for a quote. They have a trip charge of $69 to diagnose the problem which will be credited to the repair if they perform it. The technician was very courteous and diagnosed as follows. He noticed a snapping sound whenever the freezer door opened; this could cause the door to fall off at the bottom hinge and parts could fly everywhere. He recommended a freezer door hinge kit, an ice door motor for the original reason I called, and an ice door kit. He warned that he might have to scratch the stainless steel finish on the freezer door when using a putty knife to pry off the plastic housing of the ice/water dispenser on the outside of the freezer door. If he scratched the door or broke the plastic housing, replacement would be at my own expense. He said, that if some of the recommended parts were not needed, I would not be charged. The original quote was $300. I certainly didn't want to scratch the finish, so I called Sears. I purchased a maintenance agreement for $275. They came out, diagnosed that it needed an ice door motor, ordered the part and adjusted the hinge on the freezer door. There was NO NEED for a freezer door hinge kit. A Sears technician came out a few weeks later, popped off a bottom tray on the area where ice/water is dispensed which exposed two screws. He removed the screws which easily exposed the ice door motor. There was NO NEED to scratch stainless finish and NO NEED to pry off the plastic housing. There was also NO NEED for an ice door kit. What WAS NEEDED was hinge adjustment and a new ice motor. The Trinity technician noted that if he had mis-diagnosed the repair, I could receive a refund for the $69 diagnosis. After Sears came out to diagnose the problem and order the part, I called Trinity to ask if the problem had been mis-diagnosed. The owner said it had been correctly diagnosed, and that he would have covered replacement of a scratched stainless steel door. He also said he sometimes has to pry off the plastic housing around the ice/water dispenser. If, in the process, he discovers the hidden screws, he will use them. However, he may need to pry off the housing first. If he breaks the housing, that is a poor design and replacement cost is the appliance owner's responsibility. The description of who was responsible for scratching the stainless steel finish did not match between the technician and the owner. My conclusion: Sears knew what to fix and did so. I will not be calling Trinity again. read more

I've had a couple of appliances fixed by Trinity, under warranty from the manufacturer. Their responsiveness and customer service is top notch. I can't speak to their prices, because of the warranty work though. I will add that their tech, William, is excellent. Really great and personable guy. Will use them again. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. During my initial call stating my fridge was 2 years old and some parts are under warranty, would have been a good time to inform me that Trinity DOES NOT do warranty work with LG. The tech came, told me the compressor needed to be replaced, but they don't do warranty work with LG. Since they couldn't fix it, I didn't feel that paying for a service call was justified. The tech said you have to pay. I called the office to speak with someone and they were rude and said I have to pay and too bad for you. I get off the phone and the condescending tech says "I told you so" and laughed. UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional. I went to ask the hubby how we should pay this company, which was the worst I had delt with (we have had quite a bit of work done on our house in past years) and the tech storms out, slams the door and drives away. Never have I dealt with a level of unprofessionalism in my life. To be treated so poorly by a tech and company who want my money is beyond comprehension. read more

After a rocky start with my gas fireplace repair and a not so positive 1st review on Yelp - I had paid $400 to replace the pilot assembly then after the service tech left the fireplace wouldn't work again - I received an email from the owner stating that they take pride in their work and they would work as efficiently as possible to resolve any problems. The tech came out again and determined that my valve was also not working. He replaced the valve that day and now my fireplace that hasn't worked right for a couple years now works properly. While they may not be the cheapest service in town, I am more interested in hiring a company that will do the job right, fix it to last, and stand behind their work. So far, I can say they meet all those criteria and I would definitely use them again. read more

Trinity Appliance Repair has been by far the best company that I have dealt with. Prior to using Trinity, I had a horrible experience with Big Mike's and would not recommend them to anyone. I had Brand Source Appliance fix my dishwasher, and had a pretty average experience (not great, not bad). I had Trinity fix my refrigerator, which had a broken condenser fan. They responded quickly, and sent a very knowledgable technician. He knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it, and my refrigerator was up and running that night. read more

I called and left a message after hours Friday and first thing Monday morning Patty gave me a call and scheduled me in for that same day. The guy showed up on time pulled my whole dryer apart fixed the problem, gave me suggestions to help prevent it in the future and let me know how much approx. time my rollers and other parts had. He was probably the most straightforward repair person ever. If only I could find a car repair place like that! read more

We called Trinity to repair our frig because of Yelp reviews. The woman in the office was professional and polite. Peter came out to diagnose the problems. It took over a week with no frig to get a part rebuilt because it was no longer available. It cost $525 + $50 express shipping but that was better than buying a new frig which would have cost $2,000 (our kitchen is small and needs a counter depth frig). Peter was up front about the costs and timing and did an efficient job with the install. Everything works great now. read more

When I called, all my questions were dodged. I was briskly put into queue for a repairman. When he arrived a couple of days later, I showed him my washer with excessive water in the bottom, he asked 'Well, how long has this been going on?' to which I replied 'About 3 weeks.' And he said, 'You're mistaken. All washers have water left in the bottom at the close of the cycle - even the most efficient ones.' I thought that was the most strange and discourteous way to say, I can't help you. He didn't even check to see if the amt was excessive or not. He charged me $80 and left. I had to call another appliance repair to get the help I needed. I was so disappointed they did not clear my issue up front when I tried to dialogue about the issue with them on the phone prior to dispatch - at which point they could have told me, they felt water in the bottom of a washer isn't worth their time at all. Then, the repairman could have exercised much better customer service skills. Finally, the issue remained and I had to go elsewhere to clear it. read more
