As a single female, and first time homeowner; it's difficult not to be leery of some businesses and trades. A close friend of mine recommended Bob and Express Restoration to help with the water damage. Speaking to Bob felt like speaking with a family member. He was calm, informative, and reassuring when discussing the situation, even though I was basically a hysterical mess of a human. Although he couldn't come immediately himself, he sent Abel. Bob explained everything that would take place once Abel arrived. Abel was also very helpful and explained the process again and answered all my questions. He also removed a dead opossum that had crawled in the crawl space under my tub. Yuck! I'm so thankful I wasn't the one who found it. I am so so thankful to have encountered Bob and his team. It's rare to come across that level of service and consideration. To the other female homeowners, this team creates an environment where you feel informed and in control, not taken advantage of. Bob is someone who values integrity over making a quick buck, and IT SHOWS! You can really tell that this company wants to do right by their clients! Priceless! I will be recommending Bob, Abel, and everyone at Express Restoration to everyone!

We had many roofers come in with rediculous quotes and long lead times -many of them were either unsolicited and/or out of state. It was a very frustrating time for the church as a whole -due leaks that were becoming more and more evident. We had to move several events around to accomodate our busy schedule, which wasn't ideal or an easy task. On my way home, I drove by a sign in front of a business marketing Next Phase. They were currently replacing a roof on a facility so I stopped by to see if there was a foreman. A gentleman by the name of Michael climbed down a ladder to introduce himself. He was friendly, informative and genuine. I told him I was not the one to speak to, but I would appreciate a card and some information I could pass along to our church staff. After a few weeks, we decided to have Michael or his team come and visit to look at our situation. Within a few weeks of approval, Michael and his crew went to work. To make a long story, short -we are back in business doing the Lord's work. Michael and his Next Phase team did a wonderful job -and they worked flawlessly with our insurance company. What a blessing! We cannot thank Michael and Next Phase Roofing and Construction enough!

This is a go-getter.So, I recently had an inspection performed at my property and was informed that an area of the roof had been patched up with spray foam by a likely DIY'er. I was warned that, at some point in the near future, I might want to have it looked at by a professional roofing company and perhaps even professionally repaired if necessary. I considered what he said, and on Tuesday, January 10th, contacted several roofers, via Yelp, to determine what kind of damage I might be dealing with, if any, and the extent thereof. Several roofers came by. Three further discussed the matter with me. Only 2 suggested a water test to determine if it was even necessary to proceed any further or just a matter of closely monitoring the situation and proceeding if it should become necessary. One of the 2 quoted a charge of $450 to run the water test. But only 1, to my surprise, offered to do the water test at "no cost". Remember those words. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what direction most would go and I'm certainly no exception. On Friday, January 13, 2023, I met with Mark and his colleague at my property at 11:00am. Initially, I was only concerned about the area of the roof that the inspector previously informed me about. However, upon mentioning other ceiling areas inside the home that appeared to have had water damage in the past, but had since been patched up, Mark took it upon himself to inspect other areas of the roof (to include water testing), as well as inside the attic to determine if and where water may still be accessing the home therefrom. Mark and his colleague spent the better part of the afternoon inspecting the roof and attic, and again, at "no cost". Mark informed me that water was still entering the home through one area of the roof that lead to a previously patched up area in the home. It turned out that there was a leak around the B Vent flue pipe area due to poor caulking and an improper seal. I asked Mark what the cost of the repair would be. After all his due diligence, it seemed only natural to hire him to it see through to the end, right? But Mark's generosity didn't stop there. He offered to do the repair, once again at; you guessed it. "No cost"! That really says something about his determination and work ethic, and I was very much impressed. I actually thought I was getting "Punk'd" at first, for those that may be familiar with that once aired MTV practical joke reality television series. In exchange for this service, Mark simply asked that I leave him a Yelp review. No, I'm serious! Like "Punk'd", this was reality, as well. However, it was not a joke. Now, it may be that it would've been a minor cost and had taken minimal effort for that type of repair, particularly for someone of Mark's skillset. It's also no secret that word-of-mouth promotion is the most trusted of all forms of marketing - 86% of customers trust word-of-mouth reviews and recommendations. So, it's good business sense. But he still offered to take time out of his schedule to do it free of charge. And that's after having already spent the afternoon inspecting the roof and attic during his initial visit, free of charge. This, in my opinion, says a lot about his character. I was very much impressed. So, I agreed to leave Mark a Yelp review, and he scheduled to come back out on Monday, January 16, 2023, to make the repair. On Monday, January 16, 2023, at 9:00am, on a 55° morning, Mark came back out with his crew as promised, and within an hour, completed the repair. He explained to me that the gap between the pipe and the base flashing was too large for caulking to work, and that they used an extreme weather hvac tape to seal around the pipe and base flashing. Mark also showed me photos to illustrate his explanation of the work performed. He assured me that that stuff isn't coming off easy and that it would not allow the water to get under the base flashing as it did before. I suppose I'll have to wait until the next storm to find out, but kudos to Mark for addressing the issue before it became a problem, and again at "No Cost"! Just let that sink in. I've said it in the past, and I'll say it again.  I've seen my share of reliable contractors and those that I wouldn't even trust to change a light bulb. Mark, with Next Phase Roof + Construction, is one of the good ones. I'd spoken to him briefly following our initial meeting and he informed me that Next Phase had been in business for about 4 years. Well, with his kind of leadership and work ethic, I have a feeling they'll be around swallowing up the competition for years to come. I know just who to call should further roofing concerns arise and I would highly recommend Next Phase for your roofing needs.  Thanks Mark!

I could not be more proud of it but I seriously have to doubt my worthiness of choosing contractors. . It's on the floor, every surface of every exposed surface in my house, my dogs, on my hands, in my mouth, I could go on and on. For nine, actually eight days, I got up, got ready and made sure I prepared for them to arrive and go to work. The contractor and man in charge is a younger, very pleasant gentleman. Very neatly groomed, clean and believable. He speaks beautiful English but it is evident his first language is Spanish. My entire home inside is destroyed with dust, styrofoam, plastic, dust, pieces of tile, grout, dust, ceramic pieces, wood, dust, insulation and sheet rock. They left a mess in my flower beds, sidewalks and driveway. It's not really dust, it's thicker. It's on the floor, every surface of every exposed surface in my house, my dogs, on my hands, in my mouth, I could go on and on. I had three contractors I found on Home Advisor who came to my home and gave me bids. This contractor bid the lowest and convinced and impressed me enough to give him the job. He advised me it would me done in 4 days. Keep in mind my house is 1147 sq ft with one bathroom so I told him he couldn't yank my toilet and leave it out for more than a day. On Monday evening (day 8) I went into the bathroom to document all the flaws which would have to be fixed before I would write a check. The contractor had shower door specialists come on Sunday but the bench they built in the shower two inches too long so the whole bench had to be rebuilt and the shower door people left. It turns out the contractor, Saul from First Restoration OK, didn't want to splurge for a $90 drill bit to install the doors himself. He changed his mind and the doors were installed Tuesday. I'm not sure if they are properly installed yet as I have only used it once. His employees, one was his father and I am uncertain who the other gentleman was, showed up on time every day except one, worked like crazy, no smoke breaks, no drinking breaks, just work and they left around 5PM. Neither spoke a word of English. He wanted paid Monday night (day 8) and the shower doors were not even installed! I told him absolutely not. I went off and showed him pictures I had taken of all the flaws and missed areas and things which would have to be completed before I would write a check. He was not happy, I was furious I had to spend $200 to hire cleaning crew to come in to clean the inside of the house top to bottom. They specialize in new built homes and clean them for realtors to show. I had to spend an additional $40 to have my dogs groomed. My front yard, flower beds and driveway were left untouched and are covered with ceramic tile, sheet rock, green board drywall, and where there are cut wood shavings. I will probably have to hire someone with a power washer to clean the mess and hope my perennial flowers will not be adversely effected. They also left the outside faucet connected in 19 degree weather. The owner/manager/contractor lied to me four times. I could go on but I hope you understand my frustrations and the inattentive behavior of the contractor. I took MANY pictures to back up my story. If your interested, please do not hesitate to contact me. The morale of the story: My recommendation would be to not hire this company. Pay money for a the difference so you can voice your concerns to the people who do the work, rather than having to call the contractor and hope he translates your concerns correctly. The final blow: After I wrote the check and the crew left, I want in to inspect the bathroom and realized the failed to paint one whole wall. This type sub par performance is unacceptable. I am very sorry I chose this company.
