I usually get a deep condition, curlers, sometimes a cut. Dreldy is the best. She owns the salon with her sister-in-law, Mira. Everyone is always so nice. I try to go during off hours because it can get busy. They've recently redone the place and it looks really nice. It is always clean. The parking on the street says 1 hour, but I've never gotten a ticket. There is also parking on the side street right around the corner that doesn't have a limit. I would definitely recommend, but maybe just call first, so you do not end up waiting too long.

When asked if it was going to be full or partial color, I told her I wasn't sure what he wanted and hoped that speaking with the stylist we would figure it out then. The girl suggested I call my son and ask him and then call back to make my appointment. I asked what the reason was for needing to know prior to making an appointment ? I was told that they focus on time management and they wouldn't want to schedule as a full when he would get partial bc that leftover time could've been filled and vise versa if i scheduled a partial but decided on a full. She doubled down on me figuring it out with my son and then calling back so the appointment would align with their "time management". I brought up the possibility of my 15 yr old son changing his mind mid appointment after discussions with his stylist etc. wouldn't customer satisfaction be the focus in this situation ? What happens then? Does "time management" trump our appointment ? Do you send us away when the chance of interfering with next customers scheduled time comes into play ? I was offered a consultation appointment that would , unfortunately , yes, mean I'd have to come back another day for the actual service. I'm 35 years old I've dyed my hair 6 times 4 perms and countless cuts over the years at probably over a dozen salons. I've never experienced such difficulty just trying to make an appointment; Seemed like a red flag to me. Shame though because their photos of their color services was impressive. Story has a happy ending though : I was able to make an appointment at another salon in Ridgewood after hanging up. I said the same thing I did when I called here , there was no problem at all. My advice : when a salon is so focused on time management to the point you can't even make an appointment: go elsewhere. I'm thankful actually. I honestly think you need that skill to be considered talented. My hair is pretty heavy and thick and when I was younger, stylists would always comment on how much hair I had and that is was so hard to cut....when you're 10, that's not the greatest thing to hear. Or, hairstylists would style it in a way I did not ask for. When I met Judit, honestly my life changed. She cuts my hair and styles it the way I ask. Never ever gave me one complaint. She actually says that I have amazing hair and honestly that's how I feel now! Thank you for always making me feel like I'm in good hands. If you need an amazing haircut, she's the best. He suggested 2.5 inches and I even gave him the go ahead to take off 3. After the haircut, I was pretty surprised at how short it was. I picked a chunk of hair off the ground and walked up to the owner, asking her how many inches she thought the chunk was... Her response? 6.5... Yikes... When the hair dresser walked over he made some comment along the lines of, "I thought you'd be surprised, but it wasn't even across to start with." (Clients love surprises right?! Nah.) As I was leaving, he said "sorry about your hair." Oh it's ok... It'll only take me a little over a year to grow it back! No biggie. I have had yelp for a while and have never written a review, but after going to this salon I felt it was completely necessary... If you are picky about your hair, spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere that you can trust! :)!

When my brother started dating his girlfriend I referred his girlfriend and three of her friends to Jens salon and they've been going ever since for cuts and dyes (they see Malorie or Nicole). About a year after Jen opened her own salon I tried one of the other girls out, Malorie. Malorie is extremely talented, easy going and personable. Jen and Malorie are both excellent and flawlessly talented. Im never disappointed. Jen has a great place going and I'm so thankful to have her local! (Although when I moved to away for college I'd drive the 1.5 hours one way for my haircuts, the distance never stopped me) I know what I have going for me.
