Wow. This place has really gone downhill in the last few years. Whatever you do, don't eat outside. The wait staff takes breaks every few minutes out there (not many customers), smoke like fiends, and hold loud, passionate discussions and phone calls in foreign languages. Poor vibe. Dark, dirty, unwelcoming and unsurprising nearly empty. Bartender acted as if she didn't want us there. We asked for a menu and never got it. As far as I could tell there were four employees and they were far more interested in speaking to each other than helping their customers. Good happy hour specials. Nice selection of Three Olives vodka so that's a plus. Limited menu but you can also order from the pizza place next door. The place is small but so extremely loud. Small little bar filled mostly with people on business or just getting off work. The menu is limited but the service is very friendly. They have a descent food selection and even work with the pizza place next door for added selections. (Wings pizza Italian etc) They have a descent selection on tap and a nice out door patio with some heaters for the colder months. It's nicely appointed with some Christmas lights and some privacy from the parking lot. Inside doesn't have a lot of decoration, but it's relatively clean. There isn't much to this place other than it's walking distance from a couple hotels and if you're there on business without a car it's a convenient place to be. read more

Wow; really surprised to see the bad numbers on this place. I've always enjoyed crossing the grass from the Hilton to visit when in town on business. The waitstaff has never left my drink empty and the potato salad most likely contains trace amounts of crack in it. YES it's that good. The waitresses are nice and I'm not sure but they appear related. If it happens to be a sausage fest of business travelers; well... yeah... hence the hotels stacked behind it... Exceptionally slow service. I am convinced it was because I was not drinking an alcoholic beverage. I noticed the two bartenders were more concerned with supplying booze than delivering food. Two people serving an entire restaurant and patio is not enough! I don't blame them. I ordered a sandwich. It was about the quality of a grocery store deli item. It took 32 minutes for a simple sandwich to arrive at my table. It came from the pizza shop and on my way I saw the employees over there just standing around. Had I know it was going to come from there, I would have gone there instead. If you are not drinking and need a quick bite, swing by Hot Bowl or one of the other local eateries. read more

Nice location, right off of 360 and Trinity. Great for after Rangers games ect. Big TV's and large bar. What I really like is owner mandated "NO SMOKING!" and they have an outside patio area to smoke. Sunday all day happy hour, so the place will be packed before and after Cowboys games. They have an arrangement with Pizza place next door and they will bring anything from their menu to you inside of the Tavern. I had the chips and dip and they were very good. Service very slow, Bartenders busy drinking shots with customers rather than helping customers seated at bar. Restroom very small and dirty,room for one person at a time. Food cold and awful. This was a Friday night at 11:00pm and only about 10 customers in bar. Music from jukebox very low,can not hear over people talking. Only 4 beers on tap,no microbrews or popular beers. A nice place. Rachel is one of the exceptional bar staff here (they're all very good!). Go see her. You won't regret it. The pros - The Shiner Bock is cold. Except for one notable loudmouth, the clientele is pretty good. The cons - The menu is very limited. You can order from next-door but it's only Italian food. It is very good food, though. We were passing through on a Monday and this was close to our hotel. The pizza was wonderful...and the beers were cold and a great price being in this area! Just meh. First thing you notice when you walk in is how LOUD it is. Yes, there's a football game on, but maybe if the volume to the TVs wasn't so loud, these drunk people wouldn't be so loud? The ceiling is hard wood and the floor is concrete so that's not helping. Service is hit-and-miss, started with the bartender coming to our table, (took a while) then it was a girl in short-shorts and a long sweater. Took me a minute to realize she was the waitress. Anyways, I asked for a Sprite and got a water. Boyfriend said his Tom Collins was good. They have a small menu and serve food from next door at NY Pizza. Food was not good. We are regulars here. Great place to sit on the patio and get to know the other regulars. The service has really gotten better and we usually get what we want before we even ask for it. There is no better place to go in the neighborhood. Also, the food has been great. Most of it comes from the place next door at NY Pizza Co. and they make most of it in house including the house dressing (Italian w/ marinara) except for all of the other common stuff like blue cheese and ranch (terrible). I would totally come here more often for their sandwiches that are homemade and very yummy, but one big fat problem: their service is totally awful. I've been here at least 8-10 times and it never fails that we have to flag down a server or bartender before one approaches us. Next it takes at least 10-15 min before our bar drinks to come and then usually the waitress walks off w/o asking us if we want an appetizer which clearly we do... We're starving... Finally when she comes back and we give her out long list of orders she walks away w out asking if I need another drink which I do cuz my glass is empty and I'm pissed about your lack of concern. Oddly enough I work in the industry and I'm gonna tip her super fat which makes me even more mad but a little relieved cuz my scrumptious sandwich finally arrived. All in all if u ask me if u should come here I'll say no because you can get great sandwiches elsewhere. read more

Had a little birthday get together for the hubs last Saturday and the staff went above and beyond for us! Our waitress and bartender, Jennifer, was so wonderful and always took care of our group!
