We've been meaning to try this place forever and we are glad we finally did. Definitely not your typical pizzeria, it is a bit upscale. The room was very clean and nicely air conditioned with a cool mural, nice quality wooden tables and chairs and just one relatively small TV in a corner. We had the Hawaiian round pizza and it was delicious - fresh tiny chucks of sweet pineapple, great salty, tasty prosciutto that crisped up beautifully and a good quality cheese and crust. They even had my favorite Italian lemon soda. I can't wait to go back and try other pizzas. All of the staff was friendly and we really enjoyed everything -my only regret is that we didn't try this place long ago! read more

Came here for a meal before a show at the Keswick. Got a small square pizza with 1/2 pepperoni well done. The pizza hit the spot and was very tasty. I'd come here again if I were in the area. The restaurant does not seat too many, so at peak times you may get stuck waiting for a table. Reasonable prices. read more

This pizza place is AMAZING! I haven't been here before and me and my friend decided to try it out. We went in and the cashier was extremely nice and helped us pick out what we wanted. We got half a tomato pie and the other half some delicious white sauce with olives, asparagus and zucchini. It was amazing. The thin crust made it that much more better. The pizza was not soggy, it had a light crisp to it. It also was extremely flavorful. The red sauce was not too sweet. It had a little tend to it (which I love). After waiting outside for 30 mins since the inside was packed, I am told there are 4 takeout orders ahead of mine and it would be another 30 mins. Got a salad and opted for plan B. Disappointed! We had tickets to a show on December 31, 2018 at a nearby theater so we had dinner at Trios which was close by. This place is a find! The reviews we checked on Yelp rated it pretty high and after eating there, we could see why. The place is very clean. There is no table service per se - you order your food at the counter and it's brought to you - the pizza we ordered was as good if not better than what you can get in New York City. No grease, fresh ingredients (I mean, really fresh - not out of a can), with a crust that was perfect. We had the tomato pie with broccoli rabe, mushrooms and chicken and it was delicious. And for desert we had the canolis (which are made there), also excellent. What can I say? Excellent food, freshly prepared, a very clean environment and a pleasant staff. Never before had I thought of pizza as edible art. I've only been to the store in Glenside. Every time I am within 10 miles of this place I'm going there. I didn't mention the obvious quality of their ingredients. To them any ole cheese is not cheese and their vegetables are hand selected, carefully handled and properly prepared. We have switched from Glenside Pizza to Trios. Every time we order from Trios there is NEVER an issue or mix up. Their salads are premium and delicious - fresh and you can tell not your "generic" salads. The square thin crust is perfectly made with delicious fresh dough and the traditional sauce is amazing. They offer GLUTEN FREE pizza that will come in its own tin that was baked in and a gluten free wrapped pizza cutter. Trios goes out of their way to make sure there is no cross contamination for GF customers. The phone staff are polite and pleasant and have no issues with explaining the menu to you. The delivery staff are polite and always say thank you when I tip them. Not like other local pizza box places that expect it. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! read more

The place is called Trios TOMATO PIE. It is the name of the place, they are not claiming everything they sell is a tomato pie. If I go to salad works and order a sandwich, i don't complain when the sandwich i ordered isn't a salad. Does that make sense? It is a pizza joint. If you like thin crust pizza, this hits the spot. The square pizza had fresh tomatoes on it and the circular pie had sauce. Give them both a try. I'm not sure how you can give this pizza a poor rating. Placed an order for 3 tomato pies for a party at 11am, to be picked up at 4:30pm. Arrived to pick up the pies and they weren't ready. Had to wait until 5pm until they were ready. I wanted to like this place- I've driven past several times and like that it seems family-owned and independent. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be ordering from here again. I called ahead to order a house salad, pear salad, small margherita pizza, and a "large" traditional (all "round" and not "square.") The young lady on the phone did not read my order back, but I had a feeling the order was not going to go correctly when she said at the end of the call, "You said a Hawaiian pizza, right?" and I had to correct her there. The order came to just over $50, which I thought was a bit much for what we had. I went to pick it up, and it was ready by the time I got there, which was good. Service was nothing special- just sort of blah (I was the only customer in the establishment - I didn't see any other orders being prepared to sitting to get picked up). I was not offered a receipt and didn't realize I wasn't given one until I got home. Again, my optimism at trying a new, local place diminished further. The margherita pizza had a few small leaves of basil scattered around, the "fresh" tomatoes seemed more pallid than robust and the flavor was equally bland. For a $12 pizza, it was OK. It was just OK tasting- nothing to rave about. The traditional pizza was for my son- he said it was "good" - I think that was probably the best value of what we got. The pear salad had a lot of poached pear slices that were good, along with the walnuts and blue cheese (tasted more like Gorgonzola to me, which was actually a plus because although Gorgonzola is a type of blue cheese, there is a difference). Again, the salad was OK- I should have ordered it with mixed greens because it came with arugula. The pears were very tasty and there was enough for me to divide it into a salad for lunch tomorrow. The "garlic knots" looked more like little bagels and were lacking on the garlic aspect. Nothing like those at From the Boot (which has some of the best, in my opinion, if you like fresh garlic). They messed up the house salad and instead gave us an arugula (about a $6 more expensive salad- also, it isn't made with mixed greens, olives, etc- all the things we wanted. Instead it had walnuts, goat cheese and cranberries; obviously not an equivalent). I'm not sure how "arugula" and "house" sound similar on the phone, but I also don't see how "Hawaiian" and "margherita" are that much alike either (maybe their phone acoustics are bad? Like I said, it was not busy there, so you can't blame background noise). I went to check the receipt and that was when I realized I didn't get one. I called to ask about the pricing (we had ordered using the menu posted to their website, but I noticed it was from March 2012). I explained we were given the wrong salad and asked if I could pick up a receipt later. The girl on the phone said yes, any time. I asked her to read through our order, which she did. When I explained we ordered a house salad, she offered to give me a house salad with my next order, or I could go down and pick it up. Bottom line: this place was just Ok. Not the worst place I've ordered from, but for the price I paid, I expected more. read more

Pretty solid pizza! We got thin crust with extra garlic and a white pizza. Garlic day in the office. The crust was just a tad under done on one pie, but I like my pizza to be as crunchy as a taco. We order from Trios weekly at least. On one trip, I forget my wallet, get there and have no way to pay for it. They chuckled at my embarrassment, but tell me just call when you get home with your credit card info. Their food is delicious. The tomato pie is to die for ... We always do a traditional tomato pie with mushrooms. We travel from Huntingdon Valley and must pass 30 pizza places to get there. But it's always worth the trip! My only suggestion ... Drop the red onions as opposed to sweet or Spanish onions! Red onions are for salad! But love you guys, and we'll be calling in an order tonight! read more

The food was very good. It came out at a GLACIAL PACE! We went in for lunch. It was my husband, my daughter and me. Daughter and I ordered two slices each, I ordered a small salad, my daughter ordered potato wedges and my husband ordered a chef salad add chicken. Waited for the slices, maybe 15 minutes later they came out. Maybe 20 minutes after that the chef salad came out. Ten minutes after that my salad came out. We found Trios on yelp, and were not disappointed. Pizza was thin, crispy delicious. Prosciutto is a must have topping. Great quality ingredients make this pizza so awesome. Service is lacking, when you walk in, it is not clear if you should wait to be seated or seat yourself. You then place your order at the counter. All of the people looked confused, even the girl who we placed our order with. Then you do not pay until you are done eating, which I also thought was odd. It is walking distance from the keswick theater so make sure you get there early if you're going for a show because they get really busy. I will definitely be visiting again. read more

My wife and I had dinner on their deck this evening. We enjoyed a very good mozzarella salad with fresh romaine, tomatoes and olives. The tomato pie was terrific and the young waitress was pleasant and very attentive. We highly recommend having a meal here. Great for takeout too. read more

We have ordered from Trio's handful of times now and been happy each time. The square tomato pie is fantastic. Almost had the taste/flavor of a grandmas pie. The traditional round is great too. Very thin and crispy with a sweeter sauce. The wings are great as well. They are small and oven roasted. The spicy Cajun are our go to choice. They are a little pricey, but you can taste the difference. We have tried a few of the salads as well. They are not typical of pizza store salads. Very fresh lettuce, quality cheeses and the candies walnuts really have a restaurant feel to them. It has become our go to pizza place in the area. I live in Oreland and make the drive there without thinking twice about it. Also, all the employees that I have interacted with have been incredibly friendly and polite. It's sad that I have to say that, but so many places you order from do not understand how far a smile and saying thank you really goes. read more

Trios has been very much a mixed bag for me. Let's start with the positives, of which there are a few. The pizza is FABULOUS! Absolutely spectacular! I can't recommend it enough, and I keep going back here because of it. It's a delicious pie make in the traditional style with FRESH mozzarella and veggies in a square fashion. DELICIOUS! The "fries" they have on offer are a little strange. Potatoe wedges basically with cheese was what I got and I was somewhat underwhealmed. Now here is where I had a hiccup. The Panini's. I ordered a few Panini's when I first discovered the place, and they were absolutely delicious. I fell in love right away. However fast forward a few weeks, and I had a Panini delivered with chicken that was hard as a rock. VERY much undercooked and just alltogether dangerous to eat. I called up and had a replacement panini delivered and it was much better, but still slightly undercooked in spots (read: hard and with a popping sensation). I figured teh cook was having a bad day, but a week later with another panini I had an even more undercooked piece of chicken that they once again had to drive a replacement to my home. This one was actually pretty good, but you really have to make sure you are cooking chicken correctly because one, it's dangerous to undercook it and two, it's friggen gross. To recap, the Pizza is spectacular, and they have a great thing with the panini's but with me personally I've had some really bad luck with getting my chicken cooked correctly, and that's a turnoff. read more

We recently held our son's 1st birthday party at Trios Tomato Pie's new catering hall in Glenside and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The catering "hall" felt both brand-new yet relaxed. Even though it was a rainy day, the wall of sliding glass doors flooded the room with natural light, and the long wooden tables comfortably accommodated our party of 20 hungry adults and 10 very active children. The food (bruschetta, pizza, pasta and salad) was delicious and was served fresh from the kitchen just on the other side of the bar. The staff made sure all our needs were met and truly made it feel like we were celebrating the special occasion at home. Highly recommend! read more

I go here probably once a week for lunch and occasionally order a pizza for a family dinner. Their pizzas are very good - fresh ingredients and great flavors. The pizza-by-the-slice is good, but obviously doesn't beat the freshly cooked ones. The paninis are excellent, especially the mushroom and mozzarella. The salads are where they really shine. Even the small salads are big enough for a lunch. Unlike a lot of places, their salads are never an afterthought, but full meals with quality ingredients. The Caesar Salad and Chick Pea are my favorites. read more
