There are a lot of negative reviews for this place, and rightfully so, but you have to take it with a grain of salt. You have to go in knowing that most likely the staff are teens who don't care and the place is too big to be cleaned from top to bottom. This being said, we take our crew once a year and they always have a great time. They upgraded from a mediocre laser tag to a pretty darn good one, and the ropes course is a lot of fun. Their indoor mini golf is kind of lame. There is good and bad, but there is enough to do that if you don't like something you move on to the next thing. I do think their arcade is pretty weak and the games are priced too high. You know what you are getting with this kind of place; it is a over-crowded, stale fried-food money pit, but if you go there with that expectation, you'll do fine. read more

This is a great, affordable, family friendly destination with lots of options to keep all ages busy. The hotel attached is a Holiday Inn Express that offers complimentary standard continental breakfast. The hotel staff is super friendly and responsive. The water park is pretty small compared to the Great Wolf Lodge type waterpark. As long as you are there for the full experience which includes: a 3 level ropes course, a rock climbing wall, a bowling alley, laser tag, mini golf, an arcade, bumber boats and go karts (the last two are seasonal), you will not be disappointed. If I could give no stars I would. Here's our story. We live in Spokane and came down here for the night to go to Silverwood. When we got to our room everything looked to be ok. We went down for the evening to the water park. There we found rude staff, disgusting pool area and garbage floating in the hot tub. When we got back to our room we were exhausted to say the least. At about 2am our fire alarm started beeping when we turned the light on to look at it we noticed the alarm just dangling there. We called the front desk and they told my husband the maintenance people were supposed to fix it guess they didn't...... we asked if they had any batteries to fix it but when she brought us up the batteries they were the wrong ones. We called back and she brought us up other ones still were the wrong ones.! On top of the beeping we could hear everything going on in the halls and in peoples room. And you would be surprised who was still running up and down the halls at 2am. It was like there were no walls at all. We ended up getting another room but my son was so tired he didn't want to move so my daughter and I went into that room which was now 3am. In the am we went and got breakfast, the lady who was handing out food was extremely food. I asked if they had any treys so we could take food up to my son and husband. She told me if I would have been there sooner they had a few but nope none left for us. Overall I was extremely disappointed in the service and the cleanliness. I work retail so I know how you treat your guests and that just wasn't it. Will probably never return! read more

I've been here twice now. Each time on President's weekend for my daughter's birthday. Save your money and just buy the all inclusive passes for the kids to do all the attractions instead of doing the birthday party thing. We come here with my daughter and a friend of hers and do just that and it's been a hit both times. The girls love each attraction and can't wait to go back again next year. The whole park is clean and the staff has always been nice and helpful. We did have one bad staff experience last year but it was super minor and I was happy we didn't encounter him this year. We got nachos and garden salads with chicken from the Garden Fresh Grill. They were both pretty good and since there wasn't a long line this year we got our food quickly. I did notice that this year there seemed to be a lot less tubes available for the slides in the water park, all in all I think I only counted maybe 20 tubes in total and for a big 3 day weekend that seemed a little strange. Luckily the park wasn't even half as busy as it was last year and there didn't seem to be much negative impact from not having very many tubes. They also had much better prizes at the arcade this year and the kids and I won enough tickets that we could combine them and get some of the really fun stuff, plus they upgraded from last year and no longer have paper tickets that you have to carry around until you redeem them, the tickets are automatically counted on your triple play card, SO MUCH BETTER!! I was even able to get a couple more dinosaur themed things for my daughter for her birthday. We will definitely be back. Maybe we'll try coming in the summer next time so we can find out what bumper boats and the go karts are like! read more

Today we arrived with my 7 year old grandaughter to have a day of fun with her and 10 family members. The bill for entry and water park was just under $600. It was her birthday so we brought in her presenets and a cake with paper plates. We were told we would have to leave if we opened the presents or had the cake. This was "policy" because we were supposed to give 48 notice even though there was not charge for the birthday space, which they had available. When we asked if they had space they said yes but since we didn't give notice we could not sit at any table and celebrate. Just. Wow. Yes, we asked to talk to the manager who eventually came over and said he would get in trouble with the general manager if he made an exception. This is a great example of a poorly run organization where the employees are not empowered to create a great customer experience. We have been to Triple Play twice! We have traveled both times to just enjoy our time there. On our second trip we added the water fun. The tube slides were awesome but crazy dark at night. I wish you could see in them. The wave pool was disappointing but thats ok. The little ones seemed to enjoy it alot! We played laser tag.. Had pizza.. Did go carts, played in the arcade.. But we had the most fun playing laser tag.. We will definitely return!! read more

NOTICE: This is a review on the whole area of Triple Play, including the hotel. When I went to Silverwood for the first time, back when I was about 10, I came back to the Holiday Inn and Suites. It was so cool. But last year, as of 2015, I came back and it was Triple Play Family Suites and Resorts. Personally, I think the name sounds better. But anyway, Wow! What a nice way to end the day! Triple Play Suites: The hotel was very nice. Our family of four fit in a standard Queen sized room, the several times we have been here. Occasionally we got the bunk bed suite, or the king, but the Queen is the best because it comes with two queen beds, a sofa sleeper, and the usual: Coffee maker, wet bar, free breakfast, telephone, high speed internet, ETC. The beds were very comfy, but they ALWAYS tuck the sheets in, so they are hard to pull out. Then, after the parents paid for our wristbands for the waterpark, they went back to the hotel to relax after a long day of Silverwood.(This is actually the closest hotel to Silverwood Theme Park.) Raptor Reef Waterpark: Very spacious, they have a kids play area, four giant slides for the teens looking for adventure, a jacuzzi/hot tub for the adults, and a giant wave pool! The place, however is quite stuffy. You should stay hydrated while you are in there. Triple Play: Wow. There is a ton of stuff to do. I am not kidding. They have rock climbing wall, a childrens softplay area, an arcade, a mining attraction(where you have to buy a bag of rough mix, and you let the water wash over the sand. You can find gemstones, arrowheads, and fossils.), bowling, indoor and outdoor mini-golf(9 holes indoors, 18 outdoors.), bumper boats, lazer tag, go-karts and a new installment, a ropes course. Apparently there is also a new bumper cars attraction as well. My favorites all these years have been the outdoor mini-golf, the arcade, bowling, and the go-karts. Pricing: It isn't the worst pricing ever, I'll say it. Prices for attractions are PER PERSON, however. A Day Pass(includes all open attractions, and a $5.00 game card for the arcade, but excludes the ropes course and the waterpark.), is $35.95 plus tax. That is quite a lot. But the Evening Pass is much more affordable, $25.95 plus tax, and it includes the game card, and access to the waterpark and all open attractions. Individual attraction prices vary. Final thought: Very fun, very nice, can't wait to come back to try the new bumper cars! read more

My kids and I love it here I have just as much fun as they do!!! The staff is mostly younger and every one is so nice!! If one of us ever loose a token or something goes wrong with one of the games the staff is always super fast, helpful and friendly. I am beyond disappointed. I gave my grandchildren an "experience" instead of gifts for Christmas. When I called, I evidentially talked to the manager and was quoted a price of $581 total to spend 2 nights and have passes for 8 people. I was told that the park passes were for the day they they arrived, the next day and until 10pm the day they left as long as they were checked out by noon. None of this is true. Upon check in, my daughters were charged about $300 more for the room (it seems I was quoted for 1 night, not 2-though I was told my total for 2 nights was $581)....and after traveling more than 3 hours with 8 kids.... I just said "good enough". It is now 8:30pm and I just got off the phone with one of my daughters who just stopped by the front desk because they only got 2 days worth of passes and it seems you can go to the park either the day you arrive OR the day you leave.....not both. She was offered a discount (a small discount) for passes for tomorrow. Had this been explained upfront, they would have checked out at noon today and played at the park before coming home or not used the pass the night they arrived. As it turns out, this "gift" is turning into a disappointing adventure unless I want to spend even more money than I already have over the amount I was quoted. By the MANAGER!!!! Furthermore none of this was explained at check in, they would have hung out the first night and had full use of the park on the day they left.....and there is no one that can solve this problem working right now. I'm beyond frustrated. I would recommend the park, just ask lots of questions and get your quote in writing or email. She took my email address but sent nothing. Lesson learned I guess. Also FYI you cannot book this online and MUST call to reserve a room and passes, which should have been a sign as I have no "paper trail" now. Sad business practice. Don't get duped like I did. I will be following up with the manager and whoever is above her....because quite frankly, this is a bunch of BS. read more

Triple play is a decent family get away that offers all sorts of games, swimming, go karts, putt putt golf, food even lodging as a hotel is attached directly to the facility. It's not overly grand on anything and the food is standard bowling alley grade. They do have a huge arcade that has tons of games. The only downside to that is that all the games are the type that spit out tickets. So basically you blow 2-4 tokens (.50-1.00) each game for what could be as short as 5 seconds long. It seems like some sort of a scam. The water park is great, other options are silver mountain or silver wood the park both of which are a short distance away. Again the only down side to the water park is that if your child is under 42" tall they are restricted to kiddy area and wave pool only even if accompanied by an adult. So if your going as a single adult with child your spending 22.00 for yourself to just sit in the kiddy area watching others ride the slides around you. They should tell that info to you up front when you purchase the tickets for raptor reef. Mid rating from me, decent fun out of the sun or snow and open year round. read more

I have had multiple family members have birthday parties here and they have always been phenomenal parties! The staff was always helpful and could always answer questions. It was also very clean for how many people are there! The bumper boats and bumper cars are always my family's favorites. This place seemed like the perfect place to spend the extra money on, but it did not live up to the expectation we had. First of all, it was not inclusive. If you were staying at the hotel, you still had to pay the full $45 for the actual triple play activities. Our room had garbage under the bed, leftover belongings from previous guest, and our bed was messy so who knows If the sheets were clean. There's only one elevator, and for how many families with children stay there it makes one not enough. I had my son in the stroller and had to wait almost 10 minutes for the elevator. I needed the stroller for roaming around triple play so the stairs were a no go. As for the triple play, not worth the $45. Most of the workers seemed bored and unfriendly, the bowling broke over and over our whole game, and the water in the infant pool was FREEZING. This was the most frustrating thing being as my 4 month old was only allowed in there. They had multiple complaints and didn't fix it until the raptor reef was almost closed for the day. Just stay somewhere with a pool and go to silver wood instead if it's open for the season. Step it up triple play. read more

Warning!! Read before entering: My brothers and I stopped by on our way home from a vacation in Banff. We wanted a quick, fun go-cart race; we got a despicable, lame waste of time and money. The go carts, which finally sputtered and back-fired to life (only a few of them made it that far) maxed-out at approximately 7 mph. The ride was unimaginably boring, to say the least, and we left in a bit of a huff. The rather typical (mixture of gamer, geek, used-car-salesman-like and altogether very rotund) manager, however, tried to trap us inside the hamster-smelling cage (game room), doing his best to tempt us with the "thrills" of wasting just a bit more of our money on his computer games (which appeared to have been installed around the time Ronald Reagan left office). We managed to escape, however, and were headed down HWY 95 a few short minutes later, much to my relief. For your own sake, spend your time and money in wiser fashion than we did. read more

i brought my niece and nephew here along with my friend. we had a blast, my friend and i. on the other hand... my niece and nephew were a bit over whelmed and scared but that was not your fault. i do think you should add some more things for toddlers after my experience with a 2 &3 year old. but i will say i do enjoy knowing there is a indoor water park to go when the weather is bad. on the flip side, the employees need to be more on the same page and smile more and not lean on the counters. especially if you say you are the manager. read more

We travel a lot and visit family fun type events and try to stay at nice clean and updated hotels. The triple play hotel is very dated and uneventful! The triple play fun area is more expensive than nearby Silverwood amusement park and waterpark that is an amazing amusement park and value! I recently went down to Hayden, Idaho primarily to go to Silverwoods amusement park. We decided to stay at the Holiday Inn next to Triple Play cause we thought it would be a little extra bonus. Instead we discovered that Triple Play is itself a destination. With an arcade, bowling, mini golf, go carts, laser tag and waterpark all rolled into one, it is a cheaper and better value for the buck place for your kids to hang out and have fun than Silverwoods ended up being. If that wasn't enough, i inadvertently ended up meeting the owner of triple play when I was having trouble finding a place to exchange my Canadian money at a local bank. Not only did he help me find a bank that would change my money but also allowed us to exchange some ($200)at Triple Play at par. It am not be that big of a deal to most but it the small customer service things like this that make me both go back and go to the Internet to recommend you stop here if your in the area and have kids. read more

I just got back from here and didn't see a lot of what the previous negative reviews reflected. We stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the water park and the activities for the weekend. The staff was outstanding with my kids throughout Triple Play. Super helpful on the ropes course- Brian at laser tag does a great job running the game and helps the kids with ideas of how to score more points if they haven't played before. I didn't experience the "bored teenager" effect that other reviewers mentioned. The lifeguard even leaned down so he was on my son's level when letting him know that it wasn't okay to leap over the wall into the wave pool(and it was at the end of the night on a Friday so I was impressed with his manner) The wave pool- I agree with other reviewers as not the best but serves the purpose as a pool to swim in if you have kids under the age of 9. If you are coming from out of town and want a place to stay overnight and have some fun- I am giving them 5 stars. I felt the hotel and facility were clean sans the stairs going to the water slides but thats to be expected since they're soaking wet and thought that the stairs in the hotel could be vacuumed once more during the day. There is hand sanitizer stations and the restrooms were clean. We found towels to use for the water park at the front desk- (not sure if these are provided if you aren't a hotel guest) I can see how if you are coming here expecting an experience similar to say Legoland you would be disappointed but for what is advertised I think its a great deal and we had a good family fun weekend! My only complaint was that they were sold out of water bottles in all of the vending machines on every floor- we ended up buying a case of our own and used the fridge in our room. We did not eat there but found a wonderful healthy pizza place practically in the parking lot which I will write an amazing yelp review for as well ;-) read more

Was out of town and needed a day activity. Paid for the water park only. Was able to go in for a while, leave for however long we wanted to, then return later to cool off again. Younger staffing people. Wasn't very busy. The stairs to the water slides made the bottom of our feet sore the next day, as it is rough surface to prevent us from slipping. Fun as always. My wife and I did the scary wood package, our room wasn't ready and they upgraded us to the king hot tub fire place suit. excellent service and customer care. Very big breakfast selection and the attached park was awesome. There's also a bar called rustys next door with drinks and games. We ended up not going to scary wood and hung out at the water park and did some bowling. I would recommend this to anyone. Especially with kids. read more

We took the kids for a winter getaway, and they, of course, loved it. It's crowded, and stuffy, and my husband hated it, but it was on par of what I expected. this place is a waste of money. the wave pool is so cold that my son couldn't stop shivering, and i was literally praying for a group of kids to come pee near me so i could find the warm spot. some of the staff isn't very friendly, they seemed pretty annoyed when we asked where to go, and just aloof the rest of the time. after we decided the raptor reef was a bust, we went to the arcade for a bit. i'm pretty sure some of these games are rigged, either that or they just aren't maintained. i played ski ball and the 10,000 hole on the left that i hit twice didn't give me my points, but the one on the right did. the wheel of fortune game wouldn't stop on any number other than 40, no matter how many times we tried. the photo booth by the food court doesn't work on the inside, sucks really bad on the outside, and costs too much money. we gave up after that and didn't want to waste any more of our money checking out the rest of the place. read more
