Beach pizza at its best. Nothing like it. They also make amazing pastries, Bismarck's being my favorite!

This place is absolutely awesome. Go there. I like just a plain cheese slice because I love the sauce. I will admit that occasionally when its not busy and the pizza slices have been sitting there for a while they aren't so great. But if they are fresh (which they usually are) they are amazing. Do not confuse this place with the place next door, Cristy's Pizza, that is not nearly as good (though this is really a matter of preference). Absolutely awesome. Still and always has been a very decent slice of Pizza. Christy's sucks by comparison...they put almost no cheese on theirs. That said, you really should get "extra cheese" and if you like it pepperoni on your slice at even Tripoli's. It makes a good slice heavenly. Best beach pizza ever! It's even better if you're drunk. I used to live in Seabrook, NH nearby & my roomates would demand this pizza after a long night of drinking.The sauce is sweet & the extra cheese is a whole slice of provolone (per individual slice of pizza)! The pizza is thin but not too soggy or too crispy. Order up a box of 8 with extra cheese (like I do) and take it home. I usually can't help myself & end up eating it in the car. This place is open year round ever though it's right on the beach. They're usually opened fairly late at night too. read more

Tripoli at the beach. Not as convenient a location for the commuter than the one in Seabrooke but equivalent food. Beach pizza has a crunchy crust, sweet sauce and a unique flavor. Very different than most pizza you would be used to but also very good. You can get your pizza plain with just a sprinkling of cheese or with a piece of provolone layed on top as it comes out of the oven. I like it plain. read more

This is perfect Beach Pizza, right on the beach. What could be better? Very sweet sauce on that special dough. Not to be confused with fancy wood-fired brick oven thin crust pizza; but hey, you're at the beach. A tiny take-out only place, good for a quick slice or two. read more

I don't know what was up. Drove all the way from Georgetown to get pizza. As always we make a few hours of it, cruising then loop and eating pizza in the car. Maybe it was me - maybe it was the pizza.. I became acutely I'll after eating two pieces. So much so I threw up on the side of the road. RUDEST employees I've ever encountered. Ordered and paid for 2 boxes of pizza and one of them was completely EMPTY. When I called to let them know they hung up on me 3 times before telling me to "bring the box and we'll fill it up" the fourth time i called. The manager even hung up on me then blamed me for it when I called back. When we got there they were argumentative and slapped cheese on old slices. Very rude. Take your business elsewhere or at least to a location with competent employees. read more

I can't recall a bad experience eating pizza from Tripoli! This place is seriously amazing and if it weren't 25 minutes away, I'd eat their pizza everyday. It is always such a treat to go here whenever we frequent Hampton beach. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the sweet sauce and gooey provolone! I'll have to get my fix when I get back to NH! Definitely a spot to check out if you love pizza! Also awesome, if you want seafood, Browns is literally across the street and they've got steamers, fresh lobster, everything you'll want! I cannot for the life of me understand why everyone raves about how good this pizza is. I bought two slices the other day, while killing time waiting for a concert at the music hall nearby. It was cheap enough- around $7 for two slices and a drink- but as soon as they passed the plate to me, I realized why. The crust is like thin, cheap cardboard, and has about as much flavor. The sauce tastes like it was dumped out of a jar, and then someone stirred about a pound of sugar into it. There were about three pieces of pepperoni on each slice, regardless of the fact that I ordered the "extra cheese and pepperoni" option. It's a good thing I did, because even with the "extra" cheese, it was almost nonexistent, save for the full slice of what looked like melted plastic thrown over the top of it. I'm not at all picky about pizza, but this was about a half step ahead of completely inedible. I will never be back. read more

Beach pizza and cannoli, they do it right. You have to get a slice with cheese added to it otherwise it is lacking. The food is always made fresh and the desserts are awesome. The lobstah tail is a dessert dream. A trip to the beach isn't complete without going to Tripoli's! read more

Drove over an hour to get this pizza. And will continue to do so as long as I live here. Something about the sauce and the crust that just marries up so well. I personally have never had Tripoli Pizza but today I am buying it because a friend of mine lives in Florida now and her dying (yes dying) last wish is a slice of Tripoli pizza. When she was asked if she could have anything this was her request. So I am driving over an hour drive to buy and ship her a Tripoli pizza. I didn't actually go to one of their restaurants, instead I unfortunately experienced this joke of a pizza style at a new bowling alley center that opened up near me. I guess the owner of that place really likes this style of pizza. The problem is, not many others do. My wife ordered a half sheet before I could even look in the kitchen and see racks of sheet pans, already filled with dough and sauce, just sitting there. Some had 1/2 cup of cheese on it, some didn't. The sauce was overbearingly sweet. I like a little sugar in my pizza sauce, but this was awful. the dough was soggy except at the crust, probably because the sauce had fully impregnated it because they sauced them so long before being cooked in one of those cheap rack ovens, pizza on a rack, in one side out the other. The crust was dry more than crunchy. And the slice of cheese on top, not melted. And who puts provolone, or American cheese on pizza? This place does, and it doesn't taste right. Thankfully, the manager agreed with us and told us they were changing the recipe because of so many customer complaints. she then asked us to order anything we wanted from the pub menu, on the house. We settled for some pretzel sticks and chicken fingers, both of which were pretty good. My only other issue with the kitchen was, knowing they were changing it because of complaints, but they wanted to use up the last 2-3 gallons of sauce they had prepared. As a better business decision, they should have just dumped the sauce and not taken the chance to lose more money when more people complain... So the bad review, not so much on the establishment, but the style of pizza. Considering I review here so rarely, something has to be really good, or really bad to have post a review.
