The chicken and waffles have a hint of maple syrup to either the waffles or the chicken batter - maybe both. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. It was a beautiful balance of flavors. I took home half the dish. I don't particularly like biscuits and gravy so I didn't take a picture. However, I was told it was delicious and just about the full thing was eaten minus a few potatoes. What I did notice, which is typically my issue with the dish, there was a lot of sausage in the gravy. Nice pieces too. It really did look tasty. So if this is your jam, definitely get it. I was super impressed by the sausage gravy! The restaurant was full but it wasn't too overly loud.
