Have been here a few times and always moderately satisfied or moderately dissatisfied. Today 3 of us went for lunch and the place was pretty dead but all the servers were sitting at the bar doing absolutely nothing and not serving tables. We finally got to order food and got it about an hour later and my Carolina Burger wasGood as long as you like mayonnaise on a hamburger, but the other 2 people's food was not so good. My son had hope add boneless wings that taste it very freezer buds the freezer burnt and with service as bad as it was, definitely don't recommend this place read more

This was just listed as a Marina so I had to make a new classification listing. I think that is why you can't find reviews. We have been here twice now. First time was on Mother's Day and we have always wanted to go since we have lived in the area 22 years. Just never have and what a mistake! The food is excellent! Here is what we had on this visit: - Boom Boom Shrimp It's an amazing dish that is just so tasty! We had it on the second visit as well. It's that good! - Baltimore Crab Soup I have never seen or heard anything like it being two layers of soup in one bowl. Cream of crab topped with MD crab! Just awesome! - Cream of Crab Soup My Wife had this and it's made the way it should be. Great flavor without being loaded up with Old Bay. Service was outstanding and our waitress knew all the good dishes which she said they all were. I agree! As a bonus they had a band playing and the view just doesn't get better. Not a great experience! Went for the brunch and the $5 all you can drink mimosas. Breakfast was almost over so we ordered off the menu. The we couldn't have the drinks. The price went up to $10,well still a great deal. Our food came after quit a delay. Then the waitress served mine to another table. I watched them pick it up then discovered it was not theirs. Called the waitress and she tried to serve it to me. Needless to say I left with no brunch. We then ordered another round to be told that drinks cut off at 1. The view is wonderful. Me and my wife stopped in for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Short review - food was very good but a little pricey. The reason for the low rating was the lack of service. When we arrived there were only 3 tables and we were told to seat ourselves. Several minutes later, the two waitresses gave us a menu to share. She was then pre-occuppied with everything else besides coming over to take our order. 10 minutes later we got to place the order. Appetizer came out before our drinks arrived. wtf? I could go into more detail of the poor service but no need. Good food, poor service. Not sure if we will return. Maybe we hit them on a bad day. read more

I've been going here for years. It seems most of the owners last 2 to 3 years, while the workers tenure is shorter. Every spring I am excited to see what improvements have been, even though I am usually disappointed. This year was no exception: no Malibu rum, no pineapple juice, no root beer and the waitress had no idea what beers they had. How can a bar on water not have Malibu rum? When you go into the bar it is generally extremely loud. The jukebox is loud, so the people talk louder, then the juke box gets turned up, so the people talk even louder! The bartenders seem to be more interested in getting recruited for the next Girls Gone Wild rather than serving their customers. If you anything other than a beer, they generally have to look to look up the recipe in bartenders guide. On a positive note, on my last visit (5/12/18) the food was great. Living right up the road, I've seen this restaurant undergo new management roughly four times in the past seven years. My husband and I frequent this bar/restaurant often. The food is good, I must say though when the restaurant first open several months back the food just seemed better; like they put more effort in. I feel like they are starting to cut corners, and some of the food quality is starting to lack in quality. Our personal favorites are the pork wings, they are just fall off the bone tenderly delicious, the handmade mozzarella sticks are huge, onion rings are the size of donuts, the mediterranean tuna wrap is perfect, the pizza is delicious sauce is a bit on the sweet side. We use to love the burgers but last couple times we were there they tasted and had the texture of a frozen patty - not good eats! The rolls taste fresh though which is always a plus! Also recently started doing crabs but we haven't tried any of them, they seem a bit pricy. Either way we really like Triton Bar & Grill, it's close to home, we go here about once a week and you can't beat the scenery. read more

The Triton has been our favorite go to spot for the last few years. We were devastated to arrive at the Triton for a hot meal one chilly night in February, only to see boards on the windows.. then we heard of the kitchen fire, and have anxiously awaited it's reopening ever since. We were out of the country the weekend of the grand re-opening and couldn't WAIT to get back to see the changes the place had undergone - but the only thing that really stands out is the prices shot up and the quality of the food plummeted. Nothing else changed aside from the staff. No interior renovations. We were seated and waited about 15 minutes before our friendly waitress came over to introduce herself and take our drink order. Our favorite appetizer - the crab dip - up $2 and down 2 stars. The actual dip was fine - sadly no longer cheese covered - but overall it was disappointing. It was served with a meager handful of broken stale tortilla chips and boxed pita crackers tossed haphazardly onto the plate. I tried not to compare the new Triton to the 'old ways' but admittedly I couldn't help but mourn the loss of the old toasted pita points. Most disappointing however was my husbands hangover burger. It too saw a price increase but bottomed out in quality. The bacon - if you dare call it that - was probably cooked in the fire back in February. It wasn't just crispy - it was blackened. No longer recognizable as bacon. The burger had a very burnt, off taste to it ... I suspect it had been cooked too long on a dirty grill and had charred bits of spoiled food cooked into it. I actually spat it out because it tasted a bit like I imagine poo tastes. The kids meal brought to us was not as advertised. The other meals served to our table were 2-3 star meals, but it still didn't bring the experience up to acceptable. The service was abysmal but our drinks were never empty and for that reason alone we left a reasonable tip. We asked multiple people multiple times for things that never materialized. The view, as always, was fantastic and the atmosphere was joyful and comfortable. Unfortunately, we not likely patron the Triton again for a long long time. If our first trip to the Triton had been like this one, we wouldn't have spent hundreds (thousands?) of dollars there going time and time again. I will probably suppress the memory of this trip and only focus on the many, many enjoyable times we had at the Triton pre-Feb 2015. Farewell, old friend. read more

Nice view, drinks are watered down, food hit or miss and portions are small for the price, service is good even on busy weekends! Entertainment is top notch except for the dj duo they had one time, not into hearing djs outside I'd rather hear live music just my opinion and my group wasn't enjoying it. read more

This review is for Triton Marina Bar and Grill The food was just ok. Prices aren't bad, and the view is very nice and peaceful. I had the boom boom shrimp, which I did not enjoy. The shrimp was not crispy, and the sauce was just, well, yucky. Maybe it was an off day. Everyone else enjoyed their food, and like I said, the view was nice. I'd go back for the view, not the food. The drink specials and prices were fair also. The staff was very accommodating, and were efficient with food and drink delivery. read more

After several visits last year, this became our new local favorite. The pizza was excellent and there were great daily specials. An unfortunate fire occurred in the winter and they closed. We recently returned after the renovations were completed to find it under new management. They also did not have any specials going. Pizza no longer tasty. The top was burned and the bottom was undercooked. The service was poor. Best reason to go: the view is great and the beer is cold. read more

I really liked the old Triton, the new one has good food ( Italian) but isn't tailored to the local neighborhood or the boating population. They used to fill the inside and outside. The need burgers, fries , sandwiches and wings( they do have it , but not always.its-never on the menu .The service is absolutely horrible on most days . It has flip flopped since the fire. I would be there weekly if it wasn't trying to be an upscale venue. If I want upscale I'll visit steak and main or the the tidewater grill. It's a shame whoever owns or manages could have the people eating out of their hand if they just kept it simple. Plus they'd make much more money. read more

Came here because I bought a groupon and we wanted to try out a new place in the area. First off, we ordered drinks, my husband ordered an orange crush that tasted like pineapple juice. We finally ordered our appetizers and wings (it was wing night). After about 40 mins we were told they were out of wings. We ended up ordering burgers. An hour goes by and our appetizers came out. The crab dip was so salty we could barely eat it but the triton shrimp was good. It took an hour and 30 mins to get our burgers. We asked for them medium and they were well done...well well done. We were hoping for great onion rings and fries at least, but they were not good either. After all of this, it was $68 for two appetizers and two burgers!! It was a long two hour dinner. On a good note, our server, Corey was great and very apologetic. We will not be back, unfortunately. read more

I have been there 2x since the reopening - while the location and view are great, the food is bland - the boom - boom shrimp have been changed to the Trition Shrimp and I don't really know what it was but it wasn't even close to those amazing boom-booms, the fry basket was lacking in size for the price and $7 for a cup of chicken soup was not worth it. Fountain sodas for $3 was a shock too. Never saw the new cheif like Mike used to come around and talk and ask about the food. On a good note - service was good, wait staff was on the ball, the clutter from before is gone around the bar so you don't feel so crowded in and someone finally had the brilliant idea to hire a hostess to seat you! Not sure I will be back or not - if I do it will be for a drink and the view - I may just eat before I go. read more

I would like to say that the staff is extremely friendly and the view is beautiful! Again this year the restaurant has new management, but they still can't hit the mark. This is a blue collar/ locals waterfront restaurant that sells bar food, but the bar food is sub par. They can't get the simplest of items like pizza and french fries right - they're terrible! About three years ago they had a great kitchen, but now it's like amateur hour! The bottled beer isn't cold enough, they can't make upscale cocktails because they don't stock the bar with top shelf liquor, as could go on and on. Their wings are ok, only to be serve herendus warm blue cheese dressing which they charge additionally - really? I tried the steak one night and it was almost inedible! I could go on forever, because this place is loaded with potential, but there is little effort to make this place great. Management's standards are not high enough. The place is dirty all of the time, the staff doesn't wear uniforms. You can tell there is no real restaurant experience here, they fly by the seat of their pants. I write this in the hope that someone will wake up over there and bring this great location up to its potential. The KISS principle should apply here and they should Master bar food first and then think about expanding the menu. Once again I'll say it to myself again next spring, maybe this year they will have a chef and management that will get it right? read more

Mike, new owner and chef, goes out of his way to give customers an incredible dining experience! It was our first visit to Triton Marina Bar & Grill. He personally came over to our table several times, before/during/after the meal. He and the staff were professional, polite, and genuinely seemed to care that my family was enjoying the evening. Mike has brought with him many specialty dishes that he calls his own. They offer parties for large groups; a large birthday party was scheduled on the porch with a nice waterview while we happened to be there. They seemed to be enjoying themselves very much and everything appeared to be running very smoothly. Mike also does private catering in your own home. We had a fantastic catering experience last Christmas in our home by Mike and his assistant- that was our first caterer and we could not believe how professional he was. So organized, prepared, attention to detail, excellent food, had items for the children, deserts, and developed a well thought out flow for the guests and food stations. Even cleaned up the entire first floor- my kitchen was in "like new" condition when they departed! Triton Marina Bar and Grill plans to remain open year-round in 2013-2014! I strongly suggest giving it a try if you are new to Triton, or, if have not been a guest since Mike assumed ownership of the restaurant. You won't be disappointed! :) read more

Pizza's really good here. Dough nice and fresh. Live music a nice touch on weekends. Most of the outdoor seating is picnic tables. Inside just a few seats around the bar and a few tables. Not much to look at but nice place to come and eat pizza, drink a few beers, and listen to some music. Watch your bill carefully. Got overcharged on more than one occasion as waitress's very inexperienced. Not much to get excited about so temper your expectations. read more

Great place, great food! We love the new Triton Marina Bar & Grill. Chef Mike is incredible and has given the place an incredible menu. The menu has alot to offer without being overwhelming. One of our favorite apps is the Boom Boom shrimp - delicious! Their seafood is always great. They also have an incredible dessert - funnel cake fries - all the goodness of a funnel cake without the mess! We try something new whenever we go and have never been disappointed. One of their mixed drinks, Triton Punch, is a great summer time drink! If you are thinking about coming to this restaurant - go! You won't be disappointed! read more

Sitting at triton now- wishing I could give 0 stars. This is out second visit since the reopening and not very impressed either time. Food took entirely too long, manager came over first time and apologized which we appreciated- hopefully there will be some improvement in the coming weeks although I'm not sure we'll give it a third try. Burger was over cooked and we did not receive the side of sweet potato fries we upgraded to... Banana peppers were good but should be described as onion straws with banana peppers, not banana peppers with onion straws. It was very light on the peppers and heavy on the onion straws- and our ranch dipping sauce which is included was forgotten. No specials...and little overpriced if you ask me. read more

Worst service ever! Took 1.5 hours to get our food. By the time they got the food to us the crab cakes were not cooked. Had to send back. Everyone had to leave so some stayed back to take out what we ordered. Save your money and just get a beer here and no food. Horrible. Waitress was great. She was so apologetic. Silly us. We went to Triton for lunch on New Year's Day. The new owner was very friendly and talkative. He told us about the menu changes he hopes to make, and it sounds like great things are to come. Worse experience ever. Took 4 weeks for a minor fix, there went the summer. If you want your boat fixed in a timely manner or if you want a phone call back after leaving 5 messages this is not the place to take your boat. However if you want a service sticker put on your boat and not removed that ruins the finish on your boat this is the place!! I would never recommend this place to anyone, yes it is on the water so it's tempting being you dont have to put your boat back on your trailer to get it there. I left numerous messages and all they kept saying was that they emailed me, never did i get an email not only that i EXPECT a call being email isn't an effective way to get a hold of someone being internet and PC's go down at times. When i called and asked why a sticker was put on my boat and not removed i got hung up on. Communication there is horrible and they have no type of customer service goals that's for sure. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE EVEN IF IT'S A LONG DRIVE TO GET THERE. THIS PLACE WILL DISAPPOINT YOU all the way around. They also charged excessive labor charges that didn't make sense for the work that was done. NIGHTMARE. read more

Have been here quite a few times, but each visit gets progressively worse. The menu gets more uninspired each time, with favorites disappearing off of it. The wait staff seemed confused at best, with three different servers waiting on our table. We ordered the "date night" special; shared appetizer with two entrees and shared dessert, which was a perfect idea for us. However, our entree arrived before any sign of our appetizer. When we asked the server, it promptly appeared, although cold. It was the steamed clams, which were nonetheless very good. Our 16-inch pizza had a good three inches of plain crust around it, and the "kalamata" olives were simply regular black olives. Dessert was good. The outdoor deck has been enclosed rather rustically, which was fine on the chilly, rainy evening we were there. Don't know how good that will be in the warm summer, though. read more

TERRIBLE food and service. If I could give this place less than a star I would! Even our beer was warm, how do you mess up a beer?! Save yourself the time, energy, and money and DO NOT GO THERE!! Everything we got was severely messed up, our food had items added that were not even in the menu description. Example: got the ahi tuna salad, it was supposed to be a salad with roasted peppers and mushrooms, wonton strips and sesame-soy dressing; it had corn, sausage, and potatoes with Italian on it! I tell the waitress and she says, "oh that's weird it's like they put (this menu item) on there" and just walks away, NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. I don't eat meat so I ask another waitress to please take it back, she comes back with the same salad with MOST of the meat scraped off. I tell her that I don't want it but thank you, comes back 20 minutes later with the exact same food with all the sausage picked out and no lettuce. SERIOUSLY?!
