They run a seasonal menu, so l always try to order those limited-time items. My friend and I both tried the "Mango Lasso" cocktail--it's super mango-forward with a solid pour of vodka, plus it comes with an adorable little mango gummy cowboy hat on top (super cute, though the gummy itself didn't have much flavor, haha!). For dessert, we got the warm chocolate chip cookie served with bourbon pecan whipped cream. The cookie was a bit hard and crunchy --I was hoping for a soft, gooey skillet/ pazookie style, so that was a minor letdown. However, after visiting multiple times at different times of day, I don't think I'll be coming back. The food is fine and the coffee is okay, but the customer service has consistently been disappointing, and that's what ultimately ruins the experience. Each time I've gone, the staff behind the counter seem disengaged and uninterested in helping customers. There have been multiple occasions where no one acknowledges you at the counter, or they stay in the back and make you feel like you're interrupting them just by ordering. When they do interact, it often comes across as short or unfriendly. I'm not trying to make assumptions about the staff, but after repeated experiences like this, the environment just feels unwelcoming. It's gotten to the point where I can't even focus on working there because the overall vibe feels off. It's frustrating because this place could be great with more attentiveness and basic kindness in customer service. It's cozy, spacious, offers tons of seating both indoors and out, has kind customer service (shoutout to Robert!), and is in prime location in the Design District. Parking is ample as well. What I got: A lavender oat milk iced matcha (try it) + their breakfast burrito. I was HUNGRY and this burrito did its job . It's stuffed with eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheese. It was absolutely delicious and I'm craving it days later. Looking to take a work call and be respectful of the patrons? DRINKS Lavender white mocha - I really liked the lavender white mocha. It had a subtle lavender flavor that was not too overpowering. The coffee also taste really good. Perfect amount of ice to drink ratio! Strawberry Matcha - in my opinion, the strawberry Matcha was just OK. The strawberry was very overpowering, which made the drink super sweet, so personally not one of my favorites. The matcha was also pretty watered down and you cannot taste the Matcha that much. VIBES The vibes are a really nice industrial vibe with in 1950s feel. It's nice that there is seating both inside and outside. Nice ambiance, I wish I'd been greeted and told how the flow of the space goes. I had a seat, set up my laptop and waited about 15 minutes to be greeted and then decided to go to the bar where I was able to order a drink. When I asked the man who bought me my cocktail for some water, he told me there was a self service station which was... interesting. They were really attentive when reminding us to put away our devices before the cut off time and I'm glad I stayed a while after that. The performances were nice! However, I'm giving a lower rating due to the pricey drinks, taste and less-than-ideal parking situation. If your coming alone might be a little intimidating if you can't park. It was nice to go to a trendy coffee shop and not feel desperate to find space to hang out for a bit. My friend and I were able to take a couple calls outside but also spend time inside (which I would prefer no matter the weather; although the breezeway outside really is breezy). While I didn't have any food this go-around, the barista let me know they had gluten free options if I was hungry. Maybe next time. i really liked this place! there's ample seating and they played great music when i was there. the breakfast sandwich was super yummy and a decent size, it kept me full for a while. i got the cookie butter latte for my drink and it was okay. im pretty sure the only thing that made it "cookie butter" were the crumbles sprinkled on top and the biscoff cookie they placed on the top of the drink. i wish they used some sort of cookie butter syrup. however, i do appreciate that the didn't drown the espresso in milk. i felt that that espresso to milk ration was great; the coffee flavor was strong. also the drink wasn't too sweet which i liked. overall, i will definitely be back! it's a great place to get some work done. read more

This was my first time here and was super excited to try a new coffee place! Unfortunately, I found it a bit underwhelming. I ordered three drink because I wanted to "try everything". I started out with the espresso martini as my first sip and didn't care for it. Maybe it seemed just a tad on the bitter side or not smooth? I don't know, but I drank half and poured the other half into my iced caramel latte. I had high hopes for the iced caramel latte (which is what I typically drink), and was again disappointed with the flavor of the coffee. Maybe the type of medium roast just didn't jibe with my pallet, but this was hard pass as well. Last, the hot latte with foam art! I'm not a hot coffee drinker, I was only ordering this to marvel at the foam art as I hope to make these some day. As I sat up at the bar, I watched with excitement as they prepared my drink and my heart sank as I saw the barista pour it into a disposable cup and cap it with a lid, pick up both lattes and proceed to walk outside to the patio to find its intended owner. By the time he delivered it me up at the bar, I removed the lid to find the "art" still somewhat in tact. When I asked why it had not been poured into a regular cup, they said they were out of cups and they had not been washed. Ugh! No cup for you!!! Meanwhile, someone ordered some type of fancy drink with smoked whisky that was poured into a glass decanter and corked to let the smoke collect and low and behold, the barista pulls out a new cup still wrapped in plastic from underneath the counter for this drink. Last but not least, I ordered one breakfast taco and tried to order avocado toast but they said it was after the breakfast rush and they had run out of avocados. All in all, the place had a great vibe. Nice place to hang out if you're a fan of their coffee. Plus they have a full bar so alcoholic beverages are also available. read more

The setting was on point with the dim lit bar and couch area. Our server Alyssa greeted us right away after we sat down and kindly provided her recommendations on drinks based on my tastes. I started with a refreshing Whiskey Sour based. Love the homemade sour mix and egg white foam. Their chocolate chip cookie was to DIE for. It was finely crispy on the outside, moist and fluffy with a rich chocolate taste. I don't care how many calories it was. I would definitely eat it again. They've updated their website to include kitchen times and I haven't seen the female barista mentioned in my previous review since. I've stopped by for lunch a few times now. I've tried the grilled cheese with soup (both chicken tortilla and tomato bisque options) combo multiple times, along with the chipotle turkey club, orange dreamsicle matcha, salted maple matcha, and the apple pie chai. Everything was delicious, except for the chicken tortilla soup, which was mediocre. The tomato bisque was the highlight, and the apple pie chai even more so. There are still some minor inconsistencies that should be easy fixes. For one, there are some items listed on the website that aren't on the in-store printed menu, and the pricing for the cheese & soup combo was a dollar more than what's listed on the website. read more

When I heard about a new jazz espresso and whiskey bar in town I KNEW I had to go. I LOVE jazz, and I LOVE espressos and cocktails. The hummus board was wonderful, the hummus was REALLY good. It wasn't too savory or too bland, it was perfectly balanced. The veggies that came with it were fresh and seasoned to taste. The cocktails were yummy! VERY strong, but very yummy. The mezcal definitely had me feeling some sort of way LOL. El Coyote (the yellow drink) was Smokey, fruity, and strong -- the First Kiss (my friend's drink) was fruity, strong, and SPICY (due to the jalapeño). The service was wonderful, all of the staff and bartenders were very attentive and got things to us in a timely manner despite the crowd/busyness. Lots of people socializing, lots of people ENJOYING the music (it was AMAZING, the performers we had this night was SO good), and people working on laptops/studying!
