I can't see anyone giving this place anything other than a 5 star. The staff is great, the restaurant is bustling with people but yet still roomy. The patio is encased with live greenery and music playing in the background. The selection of coffee and teas are second to none. I did see they offered breakfast but this visit was about the turkey club sandwich. Absolutely loved the sandwich and my choice of fries were perfect. I strongly recommend this place for everyone to try out. I know I'll be back

Absolutely the ideal coffee and brunch spot of your dreams- excellent service, lots of nice seating both indoors and outdoors, and an extensive menu! The yogurt bowl was fresh and tasty, the chicken and waffles were YUM (seriously perfectly seasoned and crispy chicken!!), and the iced horchata latte was DIVINE! Will definitely be back if I'm in the area.

Ascension in Design district is our go to breakfast spot. It gets crowded but the food, bakery and drinks do not disappoint! You also rarely need to wait for a table because the space is so large.

Came here after playing pickleball in a group of 6 on a Sunday afternoon, and we had a great time. I ordered the Pear Thee Well matcha and shared a chocolate croissant with my boyfriend, who ordered the latte. We gave into ordering some fries later on as well, since one of our friends ordered some, and we liked the seasoning on them a lot. Our server was nice and the decor was really cute. Indoor and outdoor seating was available.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Ascension! I came on a Friday afternoon at around 3:30, and it wasn't too busy. The space is very spacious, bright, and welcoming. It was decorated for the holidays, which made it even cuter. There were a mix of people socializing and studying/working. Indoor seating includes booths, standard seating, and couches. The booths weren't the most comfortable, but it was okay for a short stay. There is also outdoor seating available. I ordered an Iced Hibiscus Flirt tea and the Latin Chicken + Grain Bowl. First off, the bowl was INCREDIBLY GOOD. I was worried the sauce would be too spicy, but it was perfect. The tea was as expected and refreshing, but I wouldn't recommend for anyone wanting a sweeter drink. The service was really quick, but then again it wasn't that busy. Half of the parking lot is self-park and the other half is valet. There was plenty of parking available when I went. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit here, and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I've been here a hand full of times and never regretted it. Coffee and food is always great! I love the ambiance, it's always booked and busy when I've gone!

Spacious coffee shop restaurant that's just off the freeway. Quiet enough to find a corner table to work, but cute enough to meet up with friends for a breakfast date. The food is solid - great sandwiches and breakfast finds.

has such a cozy, welcoming vibe--perfect for a relaxed coffee or casual meal. The service was great and impressively fast, which made the experience even better. Prices felt very reasonable for the quality. The food was also great I tried some items I usually would not eat.

Honestly, we were pretty disappointed this weekend. Having had good experiences at the uptown ascension, we decided to try this one. It's. A pretty space with indoor and patio seating. On a sunday at 10, we were seated right away but food took almost an hour to come out. For an establishment to advertise brunch I think the kitchen should be able to keep up with peak brunch demands. Our food was lukewarm and it was ok but not great; the Benedict was just on a raw piece of bread. The breakfast potatoes were undercooked and bland and lukewarm. The pancake sweet potato special was quite yummy but it was very expensive for a single flat smallish pancake. The bacon was thick and good. Sorry for the half-pictures but we were starving.

Feel in love with this spot. Honestly I was nervous looking at the photos. We were promptly sat at a table. Folks in all sorts of clothing. Decent service. The feel was cute like you could relax but with a good speed of service. The guy who made my Spring coffee flight was so friendly and happy. The strawberries and cream cold latte was great. The very berry was a bit weird. The cereal milk was not sweet what so ever. It was honestly bitter but it wasn't bad after I added some sugar. I got my sandwich on an everything bagel. So good considering I wanted to try the starship bagels already. I'm glad I got to. So good.

I came back a third time for an in dining experience and it was excellent. Coffee? Fabulous. Pancakes? Phenomenal! So basically don't do takeout is my lesson learned.

You could order anything from this menu and be so happy! All of the food options are delicious and flavorful. Our group loved the espresso cruffin, cali burrito and the Japanese style coffee that takes 12 hours to brew! The atmosphere is artsy and inviting, plenty of space inside or on the patio. The service was a bit slow, but expected at breakfast time on a Sunday. Smiling happy faces from all the staff.

Did the half & half. Got the grilled steak and white cheddar soup. Wasn't sure if it will be good since i didn't see any reviews with the grilled steak sammich. Was really good. Highly recommend. Soup was delicious, too.

What is in the pane aria sandwich? I can't find it on my menu but it looks amazing!

They have 2, an Spicy Italian and a Chicken Mancheco. It is made with an Italian bread found in Italy. I've had the Chicken Mancheco, it's been a while. But I've never had a bad meal at this establishment.

There is a sentence on CBD Provisions' Instagram that I want to read to you because it is doing a…read morelot of work in very few words. "A brasserie in boots." That's it. That's the whole thing. French discipline, Texas spirit, six syllables, no further explanation offered or required, and if you do not immediately understand exactly what that means the moment you walk into The Joule on Main Street then I do not know what to tell you except that the rosemary tallow fries are going to clarify things very quickly. CBD Provisions opened in 2013 as the Joule Hotel's in-house restaurant, became famous for a crispy pig's head carnitas that required you to pull strips of meat off an actual half pig's head at the table and tuck them into tortillas, which is a dish so committed to its own bit that it belongs in a museum, and then closed in July 2025 for a months-long renovation that brought in new culinary director Sezer Deniz. Deniz trained under Chef Jean Paul Naquin at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. He has twenty-plus years in Michelin-starred kitchens including Alinea in Chicago. He is now making breakfast tacos inside a hotel in downtown Dallas and I want to be very clear that this is a promotion. The room has exposed brick and wood floors and steel beams and mosaic tile and antique mirrors and railcar booth seating and a center banquette and stone tabletops, all of which sounds like it should be competing with itself but instead produces the specific feeling of a place that has been here long enough to know what it is. I sat at the bar, which is the correct place to sit, and ordered the short rib corn cake stack, which is braised short rib and avocado and two poached eggs and a poblano hollandaise and which arrives looking like the cover of a cookbook that does not exist but absolutely should. The poblano hollandaise is the detail I keep returning to. Not regular hollandaise. Poblano hollandaise. Someone in that kitchen made a decision to take a classical French sauce with two centuries of culinary tradition behind it and introduce it to a pepper from Puebla, Mexico, and what resulted is something that makes you look at regular hollandaise and think, you had potential, you just never reached it. I ate the entire thing and then contemplated ordering another one and then did not because I am a person with limits, technically. The CBD Provisions burger is a double smash with American cheese and grilled onion and house pickles and something called fancy sauce, which is a name I respect enormously because it is not pretending to be anything other than exactly what it is. It comes with rosemary tallow fries, which are the reason I will order this burger every time I come here for the rest of my life. Rosemary. Tallow. Fries. Three words that in combination produce something that should be legally classified as a controlled substance. French in method, Texan in manner. Boots and a brasserie. The Joule has been on Main Street for years and CBD Provisions has been feeding people inside it for over a decade, new chef and new tile floors notwithstanding, and it has figured out the thing that most hotel restaurants never figure out, which is that the goal is not to remind you that you are eating in a hotel. The goal is to make you forget entirely. I forgot entirely. The tallow fries helped.
