    Honey lavender latte
    Gabby L.

Grabbed an iced coffee after my Trader Joe's shopping trip and it's so yummy! I ordered a honey lavender latte iced, I have also gotten it warm before. Definitely one of the best honey lavender coffees I have had, it's very well balanced. I have also gotten breakfast sandwiches before and they were very good. This cafe offers a nice area for sitting either indoors or outdoors and employees are also very kind.

I'm a pretty adventurous eater but a pretty boring coffee drinker (I typically just drink my coffee black). But, given all the options on the menu, I decided to try something new. The Vietnamese Cold Brew was delicious, as was the Fire Roasted Chicken Melt. I just wish there was a little more chicken. The outdoor patio is great and the service was top notch (it helped that the girl taking my order said she could tell I worked out). And since this place is only a mile away from my apartment, I'll definitely be going back!

The blended cold brew with caramel was so bomb! it was refreshing and perfect for this summer heat. not too sweet either and it was good. I see this all the time shopping at trader joes across the street. Decided to stop in one day before walking the katy trail and I'm so glad I stopped in.

I stopped by Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea a few days ago just to get a sweet coffee. Immediately upon checking in, the cashier/barista was very unfriendly and short with me when I was trying to order. Since they do not have caramel macchiatos (the best they could do was a vanilla latte), I ordered the Vietnamese Cold Brew. This drink is supposed to be semi-sweet and creamy as it is made with condensed milk. The coffee, which was $7, was completely sour and bitter. It lacked any trace of sweetness, and I ended up tossing it when it was still 2/3 full. This is one of the notably worst drinks I have ever tried, and for the steep price of $7 (with a prompt to tip on top of that), I was incredibly disappointed. The coffee was just unpleasant and, to put it frankly, gross. I added a star because the establishment itself is pretty cute and themed well. But, I will not be returning and honestly if you're in the area, I would recommend just sticking with Starbucks.

Very cool coffee shop. There is a range of coffee and sandwiches and baked goods. Staff is friendly. Has a really cool laid-back ambience. Caution that parking around here can be such a challenge. Even with the retail parking that is right across, it can get full.

Solid coffee and friendly service. I got a honey oat milk latte and enjoyed it. They have a large menu with many different options that I would like to come back and try.

Found this place just walking about shopping. This place looks really cool inside. It's nice and bright. The coffee was really good. Nothing to write home about but still good. Service was also great. We were greeted at the door and also got our food and drinks out quick! Great place to take a break.

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: spacious coffee shop. A huge staple for local Dallas people. THE VIBE: lots of space to WFH or study. Super busy spot on the weekends especially in the morning/afternoon time. Parking is questionable. PRICE: ~$15 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - One of the best dirty chais I have! It wasn't super overwhelming with the cinnamon and spices but perfectly balanced with the coffee. I believe something about the drink was house made which made it special and taste better (I just forgot it's been weeks since I had this lol). Overall, Customer service was great and I would definitely come back but the parking is I believe on the street.

Vietnamese cold brew was alright. Customer service was acceptable. Nice decor and quiet setting. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. You can park in the street or Trader Joe's.

Food was really yummy. Tater tots are the best !!!! Service exceptional, I order a side of chicken and they mistakenly put it on the grilled cheese, as soon as we told them they brought us the right item. We sat outside, the chairs could be a little more clean, but it was ok in general. Coffee wasn't the best (might've been what I ordered) but I definitely want to go back and try something else! Love this place !!

Breakfast sandwich is 90% bun. If the standard order only includes a small sprinkling of egg, include the option to add extra egg.

There is a sentence on CBD Provisions' Instagram that I want to read to you because it is doing a…read morelot of work in very few words. "A brasserie in boots." That's it. That's the whole thing. French discipline, Texas spirit, six syllables, no further explanation offered or required, and if you do not immediately understand exactly what that means the moment you walk into The Joule on Main Street then I do not know what to tell you except that the rosemary tallow fries are going to clarify things very quickly. CBD Provisions opened in 2013 as the Joule Hotel's in-house restaurant, became famous for a crispy pig's head carnitas that required you to pull strips of meat off an actual half pig's head at the table and tuck them into tortillas, which is a dish so committed to its own bit that it belongs in a museum, and then closed in July 2025 for a months-long renovation that brought in new culinary director Sezer Deniz. Deniz trained under Chef Jean Paul Naquin at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. He has twenty-plus years in Michelin-starred kitchens including Alinea in Chicago. He is now making breakfast tacos inside a hotel in downtown Dallas and I want to be very clear that this is a promotion. The room has exposed brick and wood floors and steel beams and mosaic tile and antique mirrors and railcar booth seating and a center banquette and stone tabletops, all of which sounds like it should be competing with itself but instead produces the specific feeling of a place that has been here long enough to know what it is. I sat at the bar, which is the correct place to sit, and ordered the short rib corn cake stack, which is braised short rib and avocado and two poached eggs and a poblano hollandaise and which arrives looking like the cover of a cookbook that does not exist but absolutely should. The poblano hollandaise is the detail I keep returning to. Not regular hollandaise. Poblano hollandaise. Someone in that kitchen made a decision to take a classical French sauce with two centuries of culinary tradition behind it and introduce it to a pepper from Puebla, Mexico, and what resulted is something that makes you look at regular hollandaise and think, you had potential, you just never reached it. I ate the entire thing and then contemplated ordering another one and then did not because I am a person with limits, technically. The CBD Provisions burger is a double smash with American cheese and grilled onion and house pickles and something called fancy sauce, which is a name I respect enormously because it is not pretending to be anything other than exactly what it is. It comes with rosemary tallow fries, which are the reason I will order this burger every time I come here for the rest of my life. Rosemary. Tallow. Fries. Three words that in combination produce something that should be legally classified as a controlled substance. French in method, Texan in manner. Boots and a brasserie. The Joule has been on Main Street for years and CBD Provisions has been feeding people inside it for over a decade, new chef and new tile floors notwithstanding, and it has figured out the thing that most hotel restaurants never figure out, which is that the goal is not to remind you that you are eating in a hotel. The goal is to make you forget entirely. I forgot entirely. The tallow fries helped.

For appetizers, I ordered the deviled eggs and the fried salmon bites, and both were absolutely amazing. Flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right. For my entrée, I clearly came hungry because I ordered both the jerk chicken with greens, smoked turkey, and mac and cheese, plus the catfish and spaghetti after our amazing waitress Justice highly recommended it.
