Breakfast Sandwich on sour dough with egg, Swiss, chicken sausage, and Chipotle aioli

Trompeau Bakery & Cafe is a must try. First time visit and everything was amazing. Great atmosphere, nice, warm, and welcoming. The staff was so cool and helpful with great recommendations. I really enjoyed the food and pastries.

I actually ended up here because I was on my way to another coffee shop I'd found but it smelled so good walking out of my hotel next door that I had to check it out. I'm so glad I did! My iced latte was absolutely delicious. The espresso was strong yet balanced & flavorful. I also made my own breakfast sandwich. The portion was very good. I got a chocolate almond croissant to take with me. It was lacking a bit of that traditional flakiness of a croissant but the flavors were great. The service was very quick and the staff were friendly. I'll be sure to come back for that iced latte anytime I'm visiting Denver!

Checked this bakery out since I heard great things about it. I want to preface by saying I'm not sure if i ordered the correct things/had my expectations too high. I got the build your own sandwich which was pretty lackluster to me and the options provided weren't great in my opinion. The cherry danish on the other hand was really good. The staff was friendly but the decor/vibes inside was a little bland. I would go back for the pastries but probably would not get other food there.

Trompeau was a solid lunch stop. I ordered the Orchard Melt, which came with turkey, thin apple slices, melted brie, and candied walnuts on a brioche bun. It was a tasty sandwich that really hit the spot, especially after a few other lunch places this week missed the mark. I was slightly disappointed that they could only make a London Fog hot and not iced. Pairing my sandwich with my favorite iced drink would have pushed this visit to 5 stars for me!

The Trompeau Bakery is inside the same historic holding as the Marriott downtown. There is some street parking and paid lots nearby. Parking is expensive. The Bakery is pleasant, but relatively small with limited seating. It can get very busy during the morning. Some of the baked items are popular, but according to other Yelpers the quality varies. Just ask them to remake anything that is not hot or cooked enough. We mostly think this place is suitable for breakfast, but you could come here for lunch. We really wanted to try the quiche, but did not get to. This place is worth a try for a quick breakfast bite.

Everything was so good, I forgot to take a picture before digging in! Baristas were really nice and helpful too. Prices not too bad either.

I stopped by here to grab breakfast and it's very easily located on 16th street. I had an iced matcha latte and an almond croissant and the cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outdoor and it was nice since it's in the heart of Denver downtown!

Ordered a built your own sandwich on a croissant. It was delicious! Decent price too! The ham was great. Good serving sizes.

I give this a solid... hmmmm... It was described as charming, but it's crowded and not cozy. So, I wouldn't go here for an enjoyable rest or chat. Functional, maybe? It's called a bakery, but the pastry options are scant. There's apparently no drip coffee after noon. What? My almond croissant was good, but didn't remind me of France or a croissant. The Americano to replace my black coffee order was fine.

Great croissants, pasties & coffee! A bit expensive, probably due to the good location.

Cute little cafe with a nice patio right on 16th street. Staff was friendly, and the breakfast croissant sandwich was delicious.

So nice to have this bakery so close. Baguettes, croissants, and sandwiches are all awesome. They are as if you are in Paris.

So glad this place was recommended to me! A total gem in every which way. Service was incredible,…read morethey were patient and very knowledgeable about their products as I asked for recommendations. I ended up getting quiche for myself, pepperoni pizza for my wife as well as a plain croissant, chocolate pistachio croissant and maple cinnamon bun. The quiche was just okay in my opinion but everything else was stand out. My wife loved the pizza and the homemade ranch is AMAZING. The chocolate pistachio croissant was tasty, very flakey. The cinnamon bun was also very good but the frosting was a bit sweeter for my taste. A must visit if you're considering a solid bakery!

GetRight's Bakery doesn't need more hype, but it absolutely lives up to it…read more My girlfriend and I stopped in on a whim this past weekend while checking out a few spots in the area. I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

We've dined inside before, but yesterday we stopped in to pick up pastries and were reminded why this is one of our favorite bakeries in Denver. We grabbed an éclair, a blueberry muffin, and two ham and Swiss croissants. Every single thing was outstanding. The croissants are incredibly flaky and buttery with the perfect ratio of ham and Swiss, the blueberry muffin was moist without being overly sweet, and the éclair disappeared embarrassingly fast. We always have every intention of taking pictures... and then we take one bite and completely forget. That's probably the best compliment we can give. We loved sitting inside, which is intimate, cozy but still roomy. We are looking forward to sitting outside in their patio space. Staff are also exceptional!

The place was modest and quirky, with a random small chandelier adorning this bakery. Families, groups of friends, and cyclists were in the mix of patrons on a Saturday morning. All servers were very friendly, helpful with dish descriptions, and fast! The ham and cheese croissant and a shared cinnamon bun was in the cards. The pastry was flakey, buttery, and very tasty. The sesame, roasted onion and garlic sprinkled on top of the pastry was delightful. The warm cheese and ham inside were also good. The cinnamon bun was a nice mix of croissant and cinnamon bun; also flaky and buttery. I am guessing flakey, soft, and buttery is their signature! One minor thing, that coffee was not good, but the food made up for it. Overall, this was a very nice place that got us interested in all the pastries with that buttery flavor. For sure a recommend for visitors and locals.

I waited until they opened on Wednesday (closed Monday and Tuesday) and made my way over shortly after they opened at 8am. There were only a few people in line, so it honestly was perfect timing. I was shocked with how many options there were. Many types of bread, pastries, etc. Honestly, it was a little overwhelming trying to make the right decision! They also have coffee and matcha.
