Made an appointment to have nails repaired after the chrome finish lifted. I explained that I was on a tight schedule as I was coming during my lunch break (my only available time). I was assured they could get me in with "no problem", their canned response to everything. I arrived 5 minutes early and everytime I asked how much longer, I was told 3 minutes, then 2 minutes. I waited for 15 minutes and had to leave with no service provided. I spent $186 at this location the previous week only to have the nails fall apart. I have been a loyal customer for several years. Recently i had to have back and neck surgery . I made An appointment for a pedicure which i normally don't do so i would not have to wait with my back and neck brace. They showed me to a chair And let me sit waiting for over 30 minutes. They were not busy at the time. I quess they were in the back. 2 people came at one point and started alittle then got up and left. Finally someone came and gave me a pedicure, no apology. Having come here now 5x, and had my manicure done by 4 different people. It all just depends who does ur manicure and how busy it gets. Either way I have moved this review up to 4 stars because from my last couple visits I was offered something to drink and really loved my manicure results, but there's always room for improvement from the service. So I will be back because I am actuaenjoying it now and not just for the sake of providing an accurate review. We've lived in Trophyclub for the past 5 yrs but first time trying this salon. Kicking myself for not coming here sooner. My daughter and I came here as a pre birthday treat. They've a list of services for both kids and adults. I called and made apportionments. They have so many chairs and technicians. They're open till 7:30p which is so convenient for us working moms! Both my daughter and I had classic mani/pedi. Emily did my pedi and Christine did my mani. Holly did my daughter's mani/pedi. They all did a great job. Emily is quiet. I hardly ever get my nails done but this place made me want to get my nails done more. A lady named Nini did my nails, and she was so sweet and kept making sure my nails were exactly what I wanted. I got French tip dip nails and they have lasted me 3 weeks and have not chipped or lifted and I could not be happier. I would definitely recommend seeing Nini if you want your nails to last. I followed a girl that does my nails for years that works at this Nail Salon and the new manager is very rude and canceled my appointment with my girl and made me leave for 2 1/2 hours because she did not put imy digs I go in her system!! I do hsve her info but I didn't have it with me at the time but I left and went back with the info and she still gave me such a hard time over me having my service dog with me. AMAZING PLACE!! My daughter and I went to this nail salon, and it was the best nail salon we've ever been to! They even stayed open later for us! They are so nice, and their vibe is so calm and chill. I also noticed while I was getting my pedicure that they have a bar!! Amazing! My daughter got tip and dip French tips and they are still holding up! They added diamonds upon request, but they did not stay on that long. Also, the woman who did my daughters nails was very rough with her hands and put alcohol rubbing wipes straight into a fresh cut she had gotten earlier. Took both my daughters there. I got a full set, one daughter got a full set and another just got a manicure. The manicure was amazing the woman that did my youngest daughter's nails was great. My teenager and myself both had a bad experience. Both techs took the drills too far to our cuticles and made them bleed. My tech kept filing down my skin and made two other fingers bleed. And my nails ended up being way bigger than I'd asked. I even asked again during the process if he could make them skinnier and this was the end result after it was "fixed". I went there today for a basic pedicure but ended up upgrading as the basic did not cover the callus removal. After I came home and sat down I was pointed to a big color mark on my heal. Upon checking, I noticed how bad my feet looked after paying $41 for a pedicure. On September 4 of this year, I went for my first pedicure since the pandemic started - what, a year and a half ago? My feet were rough. Simply horrible. I decided to suck it up and get a pedi. My fiancé accompanied me, as he often does. I typically go to a place in Southlake but had read good things about Trophy Nail Salon, in the new Trophy Club Town Center, and decided to give them a try. First off, we hadn't made appointments. Would they take walk ins? Yes, no problem at all! After I had selected my nail polish color, they already had our chairs ready for us. I can't remember the nail tech's name that worked on Rich's feet, but I had Kim. She was so kind and was not rough - I have had a lot of swelling in my lower legs and all the way down to my toes, and was a little concerned that the leg/foot massage might hurt. It was perfect. No pain - I was a happy girl. We joked a little about all the calloused, dry skin on my feet, but she let me lead that conversation and I'm certain she would not have said anything had I not mentioned it first. We both had water to drink, but I saw many fruity drinks with little umbrellas in them pass by us on their way to other customers. I'm going to get one of those next time so I can pretend I am on vacation! When I checked out, they asked for my phone number. I have received a few texts when they offer specials, such as 10% off during the week...something like that. I love getting those texts! I have never been treated so rudely in public, by a stranger, and especially by someone who is doing you a service. Nam was incredibly rude, he told me 6 times that it wasn't his fault that he was making me bleed with the nail drill, even though I wasn't complaining, because my "skin is too thin." He made me so uncomfortable and kept shaking his head, saying I shouldn't have gotten dip nails because of my skin (never been a problem before). He had the nerve to add he "wouldn't charge me extra for all the work he had to do" on my cuticles... Worst pedicure I have ever had! Hayden did my pedicure and was completely distracted talking to the nail tech next to us. They would forget they were giving pedicures because they were too busy whispering and laughing. Hayden would watch the front desk and if someone would look our way they would start rubbing my legs (but only for 2 seconds until the staff would turn back around). I watched the timer set for the leg massage. They set it for 20 min and with 15 minutes left, turned it off and walked in the back room. I won't be back! Visit one, they kept pulling technicians off of me and switching them to someone else and then my big toe was cut badly during my pedicure and my cuticle was covered in blood as I left. Once it was healed and time for new dip I went back again for dip and a polish change. Again, they started me with a technician and then Switched half way because a regular came in. Third time, my girlfriends wanted to go for Mother's Day, I got a pedicure and my dip changed again. Everything was great until I went to pay and they charged me $5 for shaping of my nails. I don't get anything fancy or long, I get my nails short and round. I was so annoyed. The lady at the front just told me our regulars just know it's a $5 fee for anything except square. Upon the completion of having my nails with a full set, Katie, then rang me up at $80. I asked why the cost was $30 more, to which she all of a sudden started to stutter and mumble something in which I found inaudible and unintelligible to grasp. Nevertheless, I tipped her $14 in addition to the $80. I was in a bit of a hurry to take notice some of the nails were slanted. So my fingers appeared crooked. Needless to say, though I found it numerous, as I'm not a neurotic person who picks at the slightest error(s), I had not taken notice, until later that afternoon when one of my NP's nurse practitioners asked if I had even in a fights Humored I asked why she's ask such a funny question, to which she said, " Oh. No , I thought you'd broken some of your fingers. Your nails are off like they're crooked ." I brushed it off due to being double booked and was running late from one patient to another. Subsequently, the same day, I had had my nails done in a slanted disposition manner, that very same night, in midst of a dinner with my husband and our family lawyer., with each hour passing, one mail after another was popping off. By the time, i had gotten home, that same night, I was left with only 4 semi intact nails. All other 6 nails had already fallen off. Therefore, the very next day, which was a Saturday, I went back in to the salon to see if my technician , Katie ," could repair the 6 lost nails. To which I would have paid of course. However, that never took place. Because, as I walked in & was greeted by the salon manager, as I was explaining my disposition, Katie ( the tech who had placed a full set of solar acrylic nails - just a day ago), appeared. I greeted her and asked when she could squeeze me in. Here's where things get funnier, as she stood glaring at my 6 missing nails and the remaining slanted nails, at first, she denied she had done my nails, but I informed her of the footage I had and was more than happy to show the video I had captured, so to have my experience witnessed. Therefore, Katie, mumbled something in Vietnamese and bolted out of the area where she was standing and assessing my nails. Embarrassed by Katie's behavior and a bit confused, the male nail salon manager, apologized on Katie's behalf and offered to repair the 6 missing nails and the 4 slanted nails. I thanked him , offered to pay for a second time and informed him I was only concerned about the 6 missing nails. And that the slanted nails didn't bother me. I paid and tipped and left the salon. Consequently, I kid you not, only 12 hours later, did I find the remaining 4 nails that were initially in place , now , had now all fallen off ( to which I didn't even realize the nail was on the floor and just popped off , like the previous other 6 nails. I had no choice but to go back and be a paying customer for the third time. Mind you at this point, I had paid over 120 plus a tip of $ 30 for the prior two visits. So, here we go again & off I went to now have the 4 remaining nails , that now has their missing acrylic, be repaired. However, when the same nail salon manager took notice of me, he asked if I had nail fungus. I was dumbfounded by the question he asked , when clearly, 12 hours prior to the now event, he was fully aware and had taken note of the 4 slanted acrylic nails and even offered to repair those too. So he knew the situation. And it wasn't like I keep going in for a free repair. And I paid in cash( which is what Katie demanded upon my initial visit with her ). So, not only am i a very calm , tranquil, non confrontational and respectful towards other's time, and I always pay and tip generously, I didn't know why the Male mail manager felt it was reasonable or even appropriate to inquire about my clean, healthy nails. Being a physician myself and taking long breaks from having acrylic nails and NOT HAVING ANY NAIL ISSUES EVER , I found him asking me such an inappropriate questionable offensive since my nails were far from being " fungus" looking and to be asked by a non medical or healthcare provider, I think I would know if I had any nail issues. So, I politely informed him of my profession to assure him " nail fungus" was far from what reality presented itself. He then appeared embarrassed and said," maybe I made mistake." Not sure what was going on or what transpired him to just not wanting to repaire the 4 nails, as he'd repaired the initial 6 nails - just a day ago. But one thing was for sure, I did not feel comfortable nor did I want to allow this staff's dishonest and unprofessional mannerisms or lack there of to be a part of my time. So I left. No , he dabbed it and painted over it.. it looked fine while I was in the seat , I was moved to my nail tech's station so "she" could be more comfortable. I should have looked at my toes before I left but my nails were such a bad experience that I just wanted the hell outta there. My tech kept stopping and grabbing my hands as if I was holding them wrong and kept telling me to relax. That was my first time going to Trophy Nail Salon. I thought to give it a shot since it is closer to home and had good reviews. I had dip powder nails that had to be removed, so I decided to get a regular mani and milk and honey pedi. The pedi was great, relaxing and she did a wonderful job but the removal of my dip powder nails and the mani was a joke. I should have said something right then and there but i hate confrontation and decided not to. My nails look like someone painted them with their eyes closed and you can clearly see that the removal was not complete since there is a small bump on all my fingers. First time coming to this nail salon in TC and I was pleased. It was a very clean establishment and the staff was friendly. The wait was 20-30 minutes but they offered drinks while you wait. They have a great drink selections (2 max per customer). I tried the ombré dip for the first time and I was pleased with the results. My pedi wasn't the best as the polish was a little uneven.
