    Paradise Roll and California Roll

What a poke and sushi treat! So fresh. Honestly could very well be the best Poke bowl I've ever had. Paradise Roll was absolutely delightful. Wish I could eat here everyday! Mahalo!

This is one of my favorite places in the KoOlina Center for food. It's not as pricey. Fresh. You can choose to sit in & dine or order to go (through DoorDash) It's so quiet in there. You always can enjoy the nature. The food you're enjoying. Your surroundings. Not to mention they're so kind in there! They always make sure to give the correct order how you like it. Which I love! They're so considerate. I love it!! Thank you so much for making such yummy food & having your store so clean for everyone :)

If you are staying at the Aluani Disney Resort or the surrounding establishments and are looking for a quick bite nearby, this is a perfectly average 3.5 star poke place. I would call it a tourist trap but considering the area it's at, I think that's a given. Seen some reviews call it horrible, some call it the best. As usual, the truth is somewhere in the middle. The poke bowl here is not the worst but it's far from the best Hawaii has to offer. If you have the option and time, definitely look elsewhere! You can get this quality on the mainland, too. Had the salmon, tuna, and octopus. They were all average. The fish was fresh but not juicy or full of flavor; rather bland really. You can tell they don't really go for the highest quality here. As far as the base, both the spring mix and brown rice were decent. Similarly, the add-ons such as the edamame, cucumber, crab salad and others were perfectly mediocre. Compared to many of the famous places around the island, this place is not even in the same conversation so hopefully for those who choose to go there, they do so knowingly. The place itself is small but clean. The staff is helpful and on top of things. Not much more to say on this really. Overall, only come here if you are ok to settle and are in a hurry or can't make it to many of the amazing poke places around the island. If you are looking for the best, keep looking - this isn't it.

Custom poke bowl for 22 bucks not worth it at all!!!

First for a poke spot the price is way too much for the portion. You can easily make better kind at home or go to foodland farms and choose either fresh or previously frozen whatever you prefer and save a lot of money. Service isn't really big and the ambiance is nice.

    Traditional Poké

Very trendy (looks relatively new inside) Pretty fresh poke that they make when you order. I had the traditional which is ahi tuna and octopus. Ahi is fresh as you would expect in HI. The octopus was top notch (we're stopping thru from Japan so we're super critical right now. Others at the table hand a make-your-own and tonkatsu meal. Poke again was excellent. The tonkatsu had a nice crisp but flavor and the fry pales to what you can get in Japan

Custom Small Poke Bowl with ahi and salmon

Excellent poke! I got a small bowl with ahi, salmon, cucumber, edamame, ginger, avocado, and seaweed salad and the shoyu and creamy spicy sauces. Fish melts in your mouth and toppings are all very fresh. Calm and relaxing ambiance inside.

If you're visiting Hawaii looking for an authentic poke spot, AVOID this restaurant!!! This has to be the worst poke place I've ever eaten at and don't wish for anyone tourists to waste their money here thinking this is authentic... I am honestly so surprised at the abundance of good reviews for this poke spot. We decided to go here on our last day in Hawaii because it was close to the lagoons we wanted to sit by for sunset. We should have known that it was touristy due to the location. I have nothing positive to say about the bowls we ordered. The fish was low quality, did not seem fresh at all. The crab salad tasted horrible and nothing like crab - I couldn't even finish it.

Visited Tropic Poke for the first time and had an overall great visit. We were staying at Aulani and this was a quick walk across the street to enjoy some good food, friendly service, and a quick, convenient meal. My husband and I each ordered a poke bowl, regular and small, respectively. The bowls were generously filled and the products tasted fresh and of good quality. We especially liked their crab salad. Their take on it was unlike others we've tasted from home. So good! The establishment itself was clean and welcoming. They have a few tables and seats inside for costumers to dine in as well as a few on the outside. Our overall ordering process went smoothly and was relatively quick. Aside from being friendly, the staff worked diligently to ensure their line of customers did not wait for too long while still piecing orders together with care and concern. A successful first visit, we would definitely return to Tropic Poke in the future.

Excellent food, quality service, great ambiance! They have Korean food here too which is one of my favorite cuisines and the vegetarian poke tastes amazing!!!!

Mediocre, underflavored, overall lackluster poke. I get better poke at home in California. Hardly any sauce was added, and what I could taste of the sauce it was just okay. The ratio of rice to toppings was off. Unfortunately there aren't many walking distance dining options from Aulani.

    Regular Traditional Bowl.

Poke is popular in Hawaii that I will have Everytime I visit here. This shop is right across the Aulani Disney Resort that we can walk over in 10-15 minutes after a conference. We were looking for dinner & this seems a convenient location but we saw no customer inside. Just gave it a try. Disregard the price, we really enjoy what we had ordered. They put thousand island dressing to our poke bowl. Perhaps we should have asked for teriyaki soy sauce instead next time. Poke are fresh and taste real good. That filled up our tummies. We love them!

Fresh ahi, spicy ahi, edamame, crab salad.

We landed here based on the Yelp reviews. The poke was so fresh. The food was plentiful and fresh. The server was very friendly and helpful. My husband has a discriminating palate. He said " when we come back here" vs " if we come back here". We will definitely return again during our stay and definitely recommend this place as a must to eat in Ko'olina.

Saw this place as I was walking to our hotel from the local abc store and decided to give it a try . Fresh and delicious. Left happy . Restaurant was kept clean and they service was good . Few chairs inside and outside for seating. Some hot food available as well.

It was fine, but I didn't love the seasoning blend on it personally there are other things I would be interested in trying. Shrimp fried rice- I was really excited to try this and I was really hoping that it would be excellent and it was OK. The shrimp was cooked well and the fried rice just felt like it needed some more butter and it was lacking some of the things that make fried rice, fried rice like a fried egg so overall not my favorite dish. The gluten-free menu was pretty limited on options for me to try so I would probably go to somewhere else to try and get fried rice in the future.

Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.

The first bite instantly sent me back to my family's home kitchen, where I would come home from school and find a pot of beef stew waiting for me. What I love about Hawaii is that it has a blend of cultures that I truly appreciate as a foodie, and experiences like this feel like a nostalgia tour. Thank you for this delicious meal. It made me miss my mom and dad a little more than I usually do. Food not only nourishes us, but also brings us back to a moment in time. I thank Laverne's for that.

They've also put down more markers for customer parking which has been helpful in picking up food from here. The line can be long at times but they keep it moving quickly once you get inside. Hubs and I started dabbling beyond our usual kalbi and garlic chicken combo and crunchy garlic with tater tots. We tried a new addition to their menu: poké nachos. I've seen these elsewhere on island but their wontons are freshly fried, spiced with furikake, and don't feel too heavy. It's a nice vehicle to eat their poke and comes with Taegu as well as crab and seaweed salad. Did I have it twice in one week? Also yes. Their fish patties are moist and flavorful. Can't go wrong with their poke selection, good mouthfeel, fresh fish, and flavors are delicious. The energy here is fast paced and all the workers are kind/ answer questions. Will definitely be trying more tastes from here.

OMG --- the price/lb is less where we live but it' not as fresh. Tanioka's is organized if you're patient and willing to wait in line which almost everyone is. I'm not sure if I like so much merchandise from other businesses attracting us while waiting in line. The space is already small. The ambiance could be improved by downsizing on local merchandise. We are standing in line to purchase poke not other stuff. Consider refreshing that space. Service has always been good.
