I love a good build-your-own poke bowl spot, and this one delivered. The tuna and other ingredients were fresh and flavorful. It's not a large place for seating, but we had no trouble finding a table on a Sunday afternoon. The poke was just as great as I remembered, and I'm glad I came back to visit. read more

Make your own poke bowl! I was able to make a fully vegan poke bowl. Fantastic! The server was friendly and helpful. Located in an outdoor shopping center there are outdoor seating options that allow the fresh salty air to breeze past. A bit pricey since it's in a tourist destination location but the serving size is good for the price. Will definitely return. read more

Okay, this isn't a very traditional Hawaii poke joint, but that doesn't mean it's not really good. I like the build your own bowl assembly line model. There are lots of proteins and toppings to choose from. They have a bunch of sauces you can choose from or mix together to create your own flavors. The portions are a good size and the prices are reasonable given it's in a tourist area in Hawaii. It's locally owned by a very nice couple; not a chain. I'll definitely eat here again. There's a lot of options, and I could eat here regularly and not have the same thing for a long time. read more

Food is good. I love poke, I prefer bigger chunks. Dont come to thus center. Parking at Parklinq sucks. There was no sign QR code where I parked or the in the direction I walked. The cost is $39 plus $10 penalty. A total of $50 fine. read more

This is one of my favorite places in the KoOlina Center for food. It's not as pricey. Fresh. You can choose to sit in & dine or order to go (through DoorDash) It's so quiet in there. You always can enjoy the nature. The food you're enjoying. Your surroundings. Not to mention they're so kind in there! They always make sure to give the correct order how you like it. Which I love! If you are staying at the Aluani Disney Resort or the surrounding establishments and are looking for a quick bite nearby, this is a perfectly average 3.5 star poke place. I would call it a tourist trap but considering the area it's at, I think that's a given. Seen some reviews call it horrible, some call it the best. As usual, the truth is somewhere in the middle. The poke bowl here is not the worst but it's far from the best Hawaii has to offer. If you have the option and time, definitely look elsewhere! You can get this quality on the mainland, too. Had the salmon, tuna, and octopus. They were all average. The fish was fresh but not juicy or full of flavor; rather bland really. You can tell they don't really go for the highest quality here. As far as the base, both the spring mix and brown rice were decent. Similarly, the add-ons such as the edamame, cucumber, crab salad and others were perfectly mediocre. Compared to many of the famous places around the island, this place is not even in the same conversation so hopefully for those who choose to go there, they do so knowingly. The place itself is small but clean. The staff is helpful and on top of things. Not much more to say on this really. Overall, only come here if you are ok to settle and are in a hurry or can't make it to many of the amazing poke places around the island. If you are looking for the best, keep looking - this isn't it. read more

First for a poke spot the price is way too much for the portion. You can easily make better kind at home or go to foodland farms and choose either fresh or previously frozen whatever you prefer and save a lot of money. Service isn't really big and the ambiance is nice. read more

Very trendy (looks relatively new inside) Pretty fresh poke that they make when you order. I had the traditional which is ahi tuna and octopus. Ahi is fresh as you would expect in HI. The octopus was top notch (we're stopping thru from Japan so we're super critical right now. Others at the table hand a make-your-own and tonkatsu meal. Poke again was excellent. If you're visiting Hawaii looking for an authentic poke spot, AVOID this restaurant!!! This has to be the worst poke place I've ever eaten at and don't wish for anyone tourists to waste their money here thinking this is authentic... I am honestly so surprised at the abundance of good reviews for this poke spot. We decided to go here on our last day in Hawaii because it was close to the lagoons we wanted to sit by for sunset. We should have known that it was touristy due to the location. I have nothing positive to say about the bowls we ordered. The fish was low quality, did not seem fresh at all. Visited Tropic Poke for the first time and had an overall great visit. We were staying at Aulani and this was a quick walk across the street to enjoy some good food, friendly service, and a quick, convenient meal. My husband and I each ordered a poke bowl, regular and small, respectively. The bowls were generously filled and the products tasted fresh and of good quality. We especially liked their crab salad. Their take on it was unlike others we've tasted from home. So good! The establishment itself was clean and welcoming. They have a few tables and seats inside for costumers to dine in as well as a few on the outside. Our overall ordering process went smoothly and was relatively quick. Aside from being friendly, the staff worked diligently to ensure their line of customers did not wait for too long while still piecing orders together with care and concern. Mediocre, underflavored, overall lackluster poke. I get better poke at home in California. Hardly any sauce was added, and what I could taste of the sauce it was just okay. The ratio of rice to toppings was off. Unfortunately there aren't many walking distance dining options from Aulani. read more

Poke is popular in Hawaii that I will have Everytime I visit here. This shop is right across the Aulani Disney Resort that we can walk over in 10-15 minutes after a conference. We were looking for dinner & this seems a convenient location but we saw no customer inside. Just gave it a try. Disregard the price, we really enjoy what we had ordered. They put thousand island dressing to our poke bowl. Perhaps we should have asked for teriyaki soy sauce instead next time. Poke are fresh and taste real good. That filled up our tummies. We landed here based on the Yelp reviews. The poke was so fresh. The food was plentiful and fresh. The server was very friendly and helpful. My husband has a discriminating palate. He said " when we come back here" vs " if we come back here". We will definitely return again during our stay and definitely recommend this place as a must to eat in Ko'olina. read more

There are some many places to have poké in Hawaii that it can be challenging to make a decision. Lucky for us, this was close by and their poké was fantastic! I love how you get to pick your own proteins and toppings. Spicy ahi, fresh ahi and salmon, pineapple, seaweed salad, crispy onion drizzled with a creamy spicy sauce on a bed of sushi rice! Sooo good! Also had 2 other custom bowls as well as their fried shrimp bowl. Soooo tasty! read more

My Grandma wanted to try this place this past weekend for dinner while we were staying at one of the resorts. I yelped it and it looked interesting. There was a lot of parking but you do have to pay, I think it's $2.50 an hour. We walked in and the place was empty. The two girls who were working didn't even greet us or smile & it seemed like they didn't even want to help our group of 8. I ordered a large bowl and chose salmon 2x and garlic shrimp. I had most of the add ons, even corn. Although I told one of the girls that I didn't want corn (who tf adds corn to poke?!). The salmon didn't taste fresh and the garlic shrimp didn't really taste like garlic shrimp. It was basically chopped up Costco cocktail shrimp. This was nastiest "poke bowl" I've ever had in my life. I just had to suck it up and eat it because it was my Grandmas treat and she hates when people waste food. read more

I used to go here about 2-3 times a month and whenever I craved it. I always get the regular poke bowl on sushi rice with two times fresh ahi and one time salmon. The vegetables I add are edamame, corn, cucumber, seaweed salad, and green onions. The sauces I add are creamy spicy and signature shoyu. Finally, the toppings I add are furikake and fried garlic. The food itself tastes great most of the time (definitely depends on the worker making your food). Some are very generous and some are very stingy. The workers don't go above and beyond for their customers. The best tip is if you want a flavourful poke, ask for extra sauce. Sometimes they don't add enough causing it to taste like sashimi. I spend about $20 on the bowl. For the amount of food I get, it is overpriced. read more

???? What. Wanted poke after a beach day and this was on the way back so I decided to stop. I got the traditional bowl which was not traditional. It had octopus in it and the girl made it SO fast. I felt like the fish wasn't that fresh, it was just average. It came with some normal toppings but nothing over the top. Portion was huge so it was nice that I was hungry but it definitely wasn't what I expected. I ended up feeling rather crappy after eating so I'm not sure why this is so hyped up. The service was ok. It's located in Koolina station.Next to Starbucks. You can make your own Poke bowl. You can choose small or regular. Small is 2 topping and regular is 3. It's only $2 difference so I recommend regular size! There is alot of poke. Tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, scallops(my fav), tofu and I was lucky they have a yellow tail(hamachi). And vegetables are like onion, cucumbers, edamame, corn and avocados. And choose seasoning like fried onions, sesame. Last one is sauce. You can add Shimp tempura! It's so fresh and delicious. Really recommended! But 4 star means the rice. You can choose brown rice or sushi rice. I always sushi rice but always cold. I am from Japan and I love sushi with warm rice. Not cold. If you like sushi a lot, this is the place to come. I'm not a seafood fan, but I got the Aji tempura bowl and it was amazing. Very fresh and the shrimp tempura was hot. tasted like sushi in a bowl. Definitely recommend great price as well!! Great service and very clean inside!! read more

WOW. We just came here for lunch after snorkeling and cannot believe the freshness of the food. Poke is absolutely top tier and beats anything we've had on the mainland. We just best the lunch rush and service was wonderful. The tables were empty when we arrived and full when we left-- and we can see why. This is the best shrimp poke I've had, and my boyfriend said the ahi is so fresh it melts in his mouth. I'm sure we'll be back for more later this week. read more

Had friends staying at Aulani so decided to try this place since it is close by. Got their regular ahi salmon bowl. You can choose different flavors you would like and bases. Shrimp fried rice- I was really excited to try this and I was really hoping that it would be excellent and it was OK. The shrimp was cooked well and the fried rice just felt like it needed some more butter and it was lacking some of the things that make fried rice, fried rice like a fried egg so overall not my favorite dish. The gluten-free menu was pretty limited on options for me to try so I would probably go to somewhere else to try and get fried rice in the future.

The lot is extremely small and the spaces are tight so you may have to find street parking. They also have a points program so don't forget to sign up for bonuses and rewards.
