This is probably the 2nd place I found in houston that has snowballs that remind me of being back home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The flavor was so sweet and yummy. It was soaked in juice. The ice was so soft! Prices are great. Service is solid. We pulled up right before close (I hate doing that) and they still served us. It's ducked off in a neighborhood. We didn't have issues parking in the street. There is enough seating at well. It's outside and in a neighborhood so I don't have much to say about the ambiance, but i definitely want to go back to the try the food! read more

The staff is super friendly when ordering over the phone and when picking up in person. The food was hot and fresh and ready when I arrived. I had the Turkey burger and it was great! Honestly you couldn't really tell that it wasn't beef. The fries where good and they provided the seasoning on the side which is nice for some people who are watching their salt intake. I could have used an extra one though lol. Th e strawberry lemonade is always good I drank that to the last drop. It reminds me of a lemon berry slush from the popular chain fast food spot. This place is such a vibe There's SO many flavors to choose from and even more options of food and snacks as well. My boyfriend and I went to get something to cool us off in this 100° today and ended up getting two burger combos and two snow cones..then came BACK for more cones that evening. I never do this. The burgers were cooked perfect and full of flavor and tender. The prices also are so affordable: these in the picture were only $4! Other snow cone places are half the size and like $5-8. My family and I visited Tropical Express and ordered hamburgers and boudin balls. The food was great and the environment was warm and welcoming. A co-worker brought me a boudin ball from Tropical Express yesterday and it was so good I had to go and get some more today. They are amazing. I hear the burgers are great as well but it will be a while before I can bring myself to try anything else because the boudin balls are big and delicious. Well worth the stop if in the area (or the drive if not!) and if it is a nice day you can stay and eat in the covered area with tables and chairs which was clean and well kept.
