Helen the owner started on my nails she was very aggressive and seemed like she had to many things going on at once. Multiple people were walking in and out of the salon, Helen stopped on my nails multiple times to give people change. she rushed through my nails cutting my cuticle multiple times and leaving my nails very sore, the shape was ok but most of my nails were uneven. she did the same with my cousin after another girl walked in needing a full set she did not take her time. I asked for cuticle oil and I was ignored. The solan was very hot and a lot of flies were flying around. So not waste your time. read more

I'm in San Antonio from out of town on a business trip. I had a nail crisis so i looked up nearby nail salons, & found this one! I'm so glad i did. I walked in & the owner, Helen, was so super friendly and welcoming!! I told her what i wanted and she gave me exactly that!! + a cute little design on one of my nails :-) Im super picky about my nail shape & she perfected it !!! I also bought some awesome skin care product from her that i tested out & can't wait to take it back home & use more of it. Thank you, Helen! GREAT PLACE! I was surprised they were still opened when I called, but they are open until 9pm, which is great if you're a student like me. Prices are reasonable, actually... they are awesome! $25 for a full set!! Definitely stop by if you're in the area! They also have a hair stylist, they do eyelash perms and extensions, and they also do facials! UPDATE: I went here in December and was fully disappointed. They only reason I had gave such a good review the first time was because the owner forced me to write the review IN FRONT OF HER so she could give me a coupon for the next visit (even though it should have been used for that visit). I'm just super picky and I didn't like my nails. Very cheap, but you pay for what you get ‍. read more

Great prices but you definitely get what you pay for. $25 for a pedicure but the nail polish selection is lacking. The polish on my toe nails was runny and came off. Left my toes a mess. It seemed like the polish may have been watered down. read more

This place is amazing!!! Helen does an amazing job on pedicures and nails! The shop is clean and everyone there is friendly. Helen does great art work and takes her time. Lorraine the esthetician with the Wax Sweet located inside Tropical Nail Spa is amazing as well! I get my eyebrows, lip and Brazilian done by her and I always feel comfortable and relaxed. She pays close attention to detail and I love it!! These 2 women's prices beat ANYONE around San Antonio. Both women are amazing at what they do and I'm glad to call this my one stop shop! Went to this nail salon in the first week of December. My nails lasted me til now a week into the new year. They only came off because I forced them off my nails because I was tired of wearing them, if I really wanted to I could've gotten a fill. I have been to multiple nail salons in San Antonio and constantly have my nails done, so I honestly highly recommend this salon because the prices are the same as other salons, so if your going to pay upwards of 40 dollars for long coffin shaped nails like the girls on Instagram might as well have them last you a month. Salon is opened late which was a plus, however services were not the best. Me and my sister were both cut and bleeding during manicure by Danny. My sister had her nails done by one of the techs which name I do not know. My sister got shellac but it was done horrible. Helen and Danny then tried to fix it and couldn't so they said it's due to her cuticle being in their way, he then tried to remove some cutting her and causing her to bleed twice. He then just gave her the service for no fee since he knew he messed up and her nails were pretty bad. My services were ok. We arrived at salon at 8:30 pm and didn't leave until about 10:20 pm. Nail salon was hot and there was annoying flys. Although the owners were very outgoing, I don't think we will be going back. read more

READ THIS!!! Came to this salon because it was the only one open late... worst mistake ever! I regret not reading the reviews. First off all, update on a previous review.. AC is still broken. So it was HOT! Got a shellac pedicure and was the only person in there with the owner (I'm guessing) she took me in which I was grateful and the pedicure was done nicely... BUT! It was super expensive for the condition the salon was in. $45 for shellac in a HOT A** salon, and to top it off... I saw a RAT! Yes a RAT. I tried not to say anything as I was super grossed out.. since i was already getting the pedicure. & towards the end of the pedicure we BOTH heard the rat chirping in the drawer omg I wanted to cry.. she literally laughed and said "we already called the exterminator" it was the most uncomfortable pedicure of my life. Sweating & with a rat at the end of the isle.. then! To top it off, this place is not just a nail salon, idk what is going on in the back like gaming? Or Idk, so around 9PM there's people walking in asking to play like imagine going to a salon for its late hours and that's already risky but people walking in and out super late doing Idk what! & not only all this... but the owner had some guy working on something for her there and some other guy walked in and I'm guessing he's a regular and looked out of it to me, once he walked out she's talking smack about him to her maintenance guy? Like literally cussing about him. So unprofessional. Worst experience ever. Lastly I refused the "massage" that came with the pedicure and asked for some sort of discount and she denied it.
