I've only been here a few times but the smoothies are delicious and the service is great. Would recommend.

I'm almost reluctant to write this review in the fear that it will extend my wait in getting a seat…read morenext time, but my selfish motives aside, this place was outstanding. This was my first time here, having breakfast with my special needs brother who really likes to eat, and especially breakfast. He ordered the Buzz Special with eggs, bacon, sausage, a choice of generous sides and two dinner plate sized pancakes which he shared with me. I ordered the Irish Benedict with homemade corned beef hash. It was amongst the best I've ever had..and I've had my share of hash and hollandaise sauce. The side of homemade baked beans was generous and delicious, with cooked onions, pieces of bacon, and just the right mix of salty and sweet. In hindsight I should've gotten an order of those to go! The blueberry pancakes were moist and fluffy, not overflowing with blueberries but enough to satisfy. Lastly, the coffee here is excellent. Unlike many good breakfast places whose weak and watered down coffee takes away from the food, their brew was the real deal. Four thumbs up from us! God willing, we will definitely be back.

This is the kind of worker you want in the restaurant industry. She outdid herself and was friendly and accommodating the entire time. Whatever she's making - double it. The food was incredible, especially the coconut blueberry pancake which knocked my socks off. The home-fries were some of the most flavorful I have ever had. Much better than the average diner, we will certainly be back!

We both ordered the Brazilian cheese bread sandwich, not because of the GF, but because we loved the little cheese bread balls that we had while visiting friends in Brazil. I ordered with the hash browns, which turned out to be REAL potato made here, not a Mc-patty pulled from the freezer. Great seasoning and perfectly cooked. The sandwich had a little spinach, well cooked egg (not too runny, but maybe a hint more than needed), and smoky bacon on a split cheese bread "roll." It was super hot when served; I finished almost all of my potato before I could eat it - no complaints on temperature. The flavor was really good - and unique. My only concerns were that the bacon was "tough" so that a bite tended to pull out the whole strip. It wasn't bad, but maybe a crispy bacon would bite more cleanly. The other issue, and really the only significant one, was the density of the cheese bread. I expected something similar to the cheese bread balls, which have a texture similar to a good Italian bread (not the squishy supermarket kind). This was almost solid. We've made the cheese bread balls at home, with good success, so I'll try the different shape - maybe for burgers! - and see if it's a challenge. I'll come back to explain if the experiment to make fluffier buns is not successful. Meanwhile, the place filled up and some of the other menu items looked really good. We're very likely to go back for a lunch.

My bestie came up from Woburn, MA to hang out with me & our other friend & the plan was on Saturday…read morenight to head to The Brook for some drinking & gambling. We had decided since there are a few restaurants here that we were going to have dinner here first. We got greeted right away by the hostess who was busy but acknowledge us & told us "I'll be right with you." (5 stars for this action) which she did. We got seated right away (great job!) This is a small restaurant with a bar inside. It has a nice, classy decor. It was clean & organizer nicely. We were greeted right away by our server Ryan (5 stars) & we shortly placed our drink order. I got a Truly on draft (a favorite of mine), Tammy got an espresso martini that she said was really good (she ended up having a 2nd, me too) & Janet got a Tito's and soda. Drinks came out quickly (kuddos) We placed our food order. I went with the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and everything was delicious, so delicious that I cleared my plate which is a rare occasion for me because I'm a picky eater & I don't usually finish all of my meals (5 stars for this dish). The girls got the steak tips and they looked horrible. They looked burnt on the outside & not appetizing @ all. Tammy's was way over cooked & too hard to eat so she informed Ryan of this & he offered to have new ones made but she didn't want to wait & was fine eating what came with it. Janet liked her's & didn't' have the same issue. I thought they both looked the same. Burnt, over cooked & not appealing @ all. Janet was jealous of my fried chicken sandwich & wished she had gotten that instead. Ryan was an excellent server & did everything right. (I was a waitress in my 20's). 5 stars for his service & personality. They don't have a bathroom in here but they have a short cut to the one outside of the restaurant. On our way out Tammy & I saw their salt & pepper shakers and found them to be gorgeous. I actually snapped a picture of them & did a Google search & found them on Amazon & already own a pair...thank you! I will defiantly be back here probably for the fried chicken sandwich again. I really wanted a side of Mac & Cheese (they have it as a meal) but unfortunately they don't do sides of it.....bummer! So maybe next trip I will try it. Thanks for a great dinning experience (for myself) & a delicious, just right dinner!

Both were fabulous. We also had a latte with soy milk but there were lots of different milk options to choose from. Parking is street parking or one of the nearby lots which is what we chose. It was pretty busy even in January so I'd be prepared to give a few minutes over to parking but it's worth it. You can order at the counter or through a kiosk. We tried the kiosk but oddly it doesn't seem set up to give you a receipt so I would order at the counter next time. The staff were very nice about following up to get me my receipt but I think they just need to configure the system a bit more. Whether you order at the kiosk or the counter you take a number and the staff will bring you your food. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the dining area spacious and comfortable. There are quite a lot of good things to choose from on the menu so it will probably be returning next time we're in Newburyport to try and test out a few other items.
