What a beautiful day for a smoothie! I needed a vitamin C boost to help with healing after a medical procedure. I'm behind on my protein intake so I added some whey as well! I had the Mango Magic smoothie which also has non-fat yogurt. It's simple and is absolutely hitting the spot! I appreciated how nice the team member at the window was. Arrived today at your Lincolnwood, IL location to place an order. Both doors were locked, employee told me to use drive thru. Place order in drive through, and was told the total of the purchase was around $12, I then asked for the receipt, employee was hesitant. Employee gave me receipt of someone else's order then walks away. I wait until I can wave her down again, I tell her this is not my receipt. She prints me out a new one of a different order I don't even purchase. I asked for an acai berry boost, pea protein, peanut butter, chia seeds. The receipt shows acai berry boost with a purchase of OLO chips. So not only did I not get something I ordered, I got something different. I checked my bank account as was also charged a different amount. I waited again by the window until I saw her again and she never came back. Disappointed and Underwhelmed I usually visit this Tropical Smoothie (3451 W Devon Ave Chicago, IL 60659) location every couple of weeks and have always had decent experiences, but today was a huge letdown. I ordered a smoothie bowl, expecting the vibrant, full, and fresh presentation that's shown in the ads--but what I received was far from that. The container was only halfway filled, with barely any fruit or granola on top. For $10, I expected better quality and at least a full portion. It felt rushed and careless, and it honestly made me question if it's worth coming back. I don't mind spending money on something that's made well, but this didn't even come close. This area has been needing a convenient juice, smoothie, protein bowl, healthy option for a long time. Some of the local Middle Eastern restaurants offered fresh juice but that's more of a dessert drink to enjoy with their meals than a healthy smoothie. I appreciate what TSC does, it took awhile but they added a few different kinds of fruit (acai, etc) bowls. They also offer tasty wraps, salads and flatbread. Sandwiches are available but seem more of an occasional menu offering. An ideal combo meal might be a smoothie and wrap. Flatbreads are more indulgent as are quesadillas. But hey, you do your belly. Combo meals can cost a bit but what rocks is that with every order you have the option of filling out a survey and receiving a discount code applied on your next order. Which yields a significant discount on that next smoothie. A new addition is sizing for kids. It's not mentioned on their drive up menus but is shown via the app. read more

I had high hopes for this place, but was severly disappointed. I saw that this place opened not to far away from me. Its also on the way home from my new job so I thought I would swing by tonight and try a smoothie. After all, that is what they are known for! I saw a good one called the Sunrise Sunset. It had oranges in it so I was looking forward to it. I was a little shocked at the price, but lets see how it is. This smoothie is terrible It barely tastes like anything (especially orange) and is way overpriced. The other thing that bothers me about this place is that I could see all the "rules" for employees on the wall when I drove up. Suffice it to say, this place appears to treat their employees poorly. This is paticurlary suprising after we just went through Covid. For all the money they charge for a smoothie (over $8), you would think they would treat their employees better. This place is not worth your time or your money. They make substandard smoothies and treat employees like dirt. The two stars are for the great customer service worker at the window. She was great. Service is a little slow to respond. You could have mobile/online orders to speed up the process order. But walking in doesn't have the best response time. They focus on serving their smoothies since it is faster but if it is busy you will be waiting on food depending of the backorder. If you come in just for smoothies on a pickup order then you should have no problem. Else you could easily wait longer than you wanted because this place has only few employees. read more

The location is ready as well to take app orders. Ordered my mango magic and was ready on time. Smoothie tasted great! Service was friendly and greeted you when you walked in. This. Place opened up near my house recently and I was excited to give it a try. I'm not the biggest smoothie fan so I was happy that they had a good variety of actual food items on the menu too. My friend from work went there on her lunch break and ordered the flat bread, she said it was good but not enough to fill her up so I decided to get a sandwich with comes with one side for the price you pay. I was very satisfied with my choice of the Caprese sandwich and side of kale apple salad. They tasted good and fresh and the portion size was average for the price. Next time I'd probably ask for light sauce as the bread was kinda soggy, but overall a very enjoyable meal. Easy parking and friendly staff too. read more

Food is terrible. The quality of the smoothie is pretty watered down. I had island punch.The avocado sandwich is made with fake avocados and tastes horrible. The peanut banana crunch was ok it's the only thing I picked over and ate.Also the side of sweet potatoes were bland. Sweet potatoes have their own natural taste however not all of my potatoes were thoroughly cooked so it was a fail. I only ate the ones that were done. The person who took my order was pleasant but the lady who brought my food to the window was rude.i had to take my sandwich back because it had bacon on it they remade it for me but the quality is still trash. I placed an order at the Tropical smoothie in Wicker Park Chicago. They claim to open at 7 am on weekdays, this order was placed at 9:02 am. I was charged and when I went to pick up my acái bowl and kiwi smoothie, no one was working and the doors were locked. I called the business multiple times with no response. I tried to call headquarters and was on hold for 30+ minutes. There was no compensation for this craziness, but yet they want to claim that I received my order and award me points...NO! I would give 0 stars if I could. This is the second time I'm writing a review for the same ongoing issue. I bought my regular to smoothies again and by no surprise the worker went ahead and tipped themselves mind you not even giving me the option, but this time I saw them click it before I paid. I was optimistic that they might have cleared it, only to find on my receipt that they went ahead and tipped themselves. When I reached out I was told it could be a "mistake" which I would understand, but for it to happen every time with various employees and for it to happen to other customers. This is ridiculous and is theft at this point. I will not be coming again and I don't know who needs to hear this but unless you want your money stolen from you don't come here.
