Commack location has always been so far friendly, food is readily prepared, and smoothies are always on point. This past weekend, we wanted to try new smoothies that returned for the summer. The Island Punch smoothie was delicious. If only it was provided all year through - it gives the refreshing Summer taste if I had to compare how it was, it would be the smoothie. My usual go-to is Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Ranch and Buffalo sauce on the side (to control how much I'd like to put in), Miss Vickie's salt and vinegar chips as my side. My wrap is always done correctly, I appreciate always providing the sauces on the side to avoid a soggy wrap. Use your Tropical Smoothie app if you haven't already to gain points towards other rewards you might earn. All payments are accepted. The parking lot is shared within the shopping center. There are four tables inside and a few chairs to sit by the window area where they prep your order. Mobile orders are stored by the entrance. The staff is really into the holiday spirit! I ordered ahead on the app and my Cranberry Truffle was on the pick up shelf upon my arrival. The shelves were clean and organized. My Cranberry Truffle also tasted great! It wasn't watered down and was just thick enough to drink comfortably with a straw. Some smoothies need to melt a bit before you can really enjoy it but this location got it right! P.S. I really enjoyed seeing the red and green thank you written on my order! read more

I go to Tropical Smoothie every time i'm done with the gym and the smoothies are great every time. They make the drinks rather quickly even if they are loaded up with orders on a busy day. The vibe in this place is just so chill and obviously tropical, it just has a nice vibe and I really think other people should come as well. It's also just not their smoothies, their sandwiches and their quesadillas are amazing as a meal or a snack. This place is amazing and I look forward to other people coming as well! read more

I go to this place often and it's really going downhill. The place was beyond dirty. I'll add a photo to show. I asked for a Blimey Limey with no Turbinado (sugar) and they loaded it up with it. Love tropical smoothie! Though I cannot speak on the food, as I have not tried it yet, I've tried a handful of smoothies and can say it's a good time, everytime. My favorites are the island green, sunrise sunset and pomegranate plunge! What I love the most is that you can not only add fruit, veggies, etc to your drinks, but you can also substitute if need be. I almost always do so with anything that has banana's in it, I'll substitute with mango (if it isn't already in the drink) because they both thicken the smoothie. I do love bananas, just not in my drink all the time lol. Either way, you'll never miss with a smoothie from here. read more

I normally wouldn't review a chain.. but this location is run so well, it deserves it. They are so friendly, quick and efficient. I've never had a messed up order and everything is always delicious. We go to this Tropical Smoothie and the East Northport location often- and this one is 100 times better.. every single time. There's never a wait because they are so fast. I go here all the time. i love the food and i love the smoothies but today i was very disappointed. for one, i got a bahama mama and it didn't taste at all right. but that's not the big problem here. my big issue was finding scraps of some sort of wrapper in my smoothie. it looks similar to a gum wrapper. i usually don't have any issues at this location, as a matter of fact i love going here because of how quick they are and because of the amazing quality but today i am beyond disappointed and disgusted. read more

I'm happy that there's a nice clean and new location in Commack. Conveniently located in the Mayfair shopping center right off of Jericho Tpke. Staff was friendly and their service was good. Detox green smoothie: I order mine without any sweetener. It's pretty big for less than 200 calories. They have wraps, salads, etc but you have to watch calorie counts! Calories can be slightly high and tricky if you think you're eating super healthy and low cal. I like how you can customize your smoothie. read more

It's tropical smoothie so it's always good and i will never stop going however, it is quite annoying how every time me or anyone i know goes in there to order something they mess it up every time. Nothing big like wrong smoothie or sandwich but if you ask for no tomatoes they give you the tomatoes, it's not once or twice it's every time i got 1-2 times a week and they mess it up every time, even the older woman who seems to be the manager or owner even puts them on. My friends and family members also have similar issues but at this point it's comical because you know you're gonna get it regardless, it should be addressed because in case someone with an allergy asks for it and doesn't specify it's an allergy you'll be screwed. With that being said it's a fun vibe inside good music and good food. Even the terrible service can't stop this from being 5 stars. read more

I recently stopped going to this location because anytime I ordered over the phone for pick up I was still expected to wait on line and wait for everyone to place their orders and receive them. The last time I wasted my whole lunch break waiting for my sandwich that was just sitting on the counter forever, it was soggy AF. They tell me to order online but it's such a process and I ain't got free time like that as full time working mom. That and the fact they charge more for credit card, like what? You waste gas and time bringing cash to the bank. I get it theres cc fees associated but cmon. I'm over it, food still leaves me feeling hungry after anyways not even filling. read more

The man who answered the phone when I called was very nice, explained what Tropical Smoothie does to label ensure correct delivery (meaning it's clearly the fault of Uber Eats) and gave me a few options for compensation to resolve my issue. What's the point of saying you close at 9:30 pm but I can not get a wrap at 8:10 pm because the grill is off. First time walking into this place and it will be the last. I've been to a couple Tropical Smoothie locations and the Commack location has to be my favorite one. I regularly get the "beach bum" smoothie and it does not disappoint! Dylan, my favorite employee to see when I stop by, is super nice and helpful. Tropical Smoothie has some decent food too, and I look foward to grabbing a quick bite to eat every once in a while. This is not about the food ! This is one business owner to another. I call to order 3 orders on Saturday. The girl on the phone says she has to ask her "boss" hold on. I couldn't understand why. She gets back on the phone and says I'm sorry we cannot take 3 separate orders right now we are too busy ‍. I thought I misunderstood. I said who said 3 "separate" orders ....like that would matter anyway. Oh she says I'll ask. Again she places me on hold. Finally she gets back on and says my boss said ok but next time it's "better to come in and place your order at the counter when we are busy". I didn't cancel but I would like the owner to know. People can spend their money ANYWHERE. Every single customer should ALWAYS be treated with appreciation and respect. I get tropical smoothie often and always the same smoothie . Today I went and it didn't taste anything like it usually does. It was very tart and no flavor. I was embarrassed to go back in but that's like $6 so why would I waste that and not be able to drink my lunch so I went in and explained and they made me a new one!! I love tropical smoothie sandwiches and I get them pretty often. For the last three years I have tried the chicken caprese sandwich at this Commack location and every time it is inedible. I gave them chance after chance, however it has gotten to the point that I will never return to this store. Every other tropical smoothie will fully make the sandwich then put it in the press, however this one melts the mozzerella first then puts it in the panini press which makes the rest of the sandwich hard, cold and gross! I go in to get a smoothie and while waiting for it I notice how behind the counter there is food on the floor and behind the counter just looks dirty. Then after I pay for the smoothie with my credit card I notice a small sign by the register that says there is a 3% discount for cash, another way of saying they are charging extra for using a credit card. Technically legal but does violate the terms of the merchant agreement with the credit card companies. They need to clean up the place and since Tropical Smoothie chooses to charge extra for credit card purchases I choose never to go back. read more

One worker I noticed that rose above the rest in customer satisfaction, efficiency, and overall satisfaction was a worker named Deanna I get her most of the time and she seems like a very intelligent, talented and efficient worker. food quality is OK at best. I often throw out much of the chicken because it is chewy and processed tasting. I continue to go only because my teenage kids like it. Customer service is terrible. The kids that work there, depending who you get - not so bad. They can be Polite and efficient - or not. The owner or manager, however, I think he just stepped into the service industry yesterday. Let's just say after my first contact with him - I believe his name is Mike, I won't ever return to that store, nor will I give my kids money to go there on their own. Worst experience I have ever had in a tropical smoothie cafe. Went in and ordered 3 smoothies, all the same, with no sugar/sweetener. Very easy, right? Not on this day. You may be asking yourself, what could've went wrong, 3 smoothies, all the same ingredients, maybe they didn't taste right? Maybe the wrong smoothie? After 20 minutes of standing around, I started to wonder if they forgot my order. I wasn't the only flub up of the day. A customer in front of me ordered a smoothie with Splenda, and not sugar. That didn't matter to the great staff, who made it with sugar, and couldn't understand that the customer didn't want sugar. I digress, certainly my issue couldn't be as bad. Worse maybe, but not as bad. Following my daunting order, the staff seemingly did not want to monopolize 3 blenders on one order, and thus, they made everyone who followed me their drinks first, leaving mine to be made when everyone else had already gotten theirs. Standing quietly, I waited. When they finally got to making my order, I felt as though I'd aged significantly. As I waited, I saw the same great employee pouring sugar into the blenders. I asked him if he was adding sugar, as I couldn't believe that the simplest direction was ignored, and he answered affirmatively. When I pointed it out to him that they were supposed to be sans sugar, he groaned and shrugged his shoulders. As I was finally ready to leave, each smoothie was about 3/4 of the way full. When the staff realized it's mistake, they made another and evened it out. Lots of work for 3 of the same smoothies, eh? If you want a good smoothie, head to the one a couple miles up the road.
