Pretty good smoothie for the western slope. It was a nice refreshing drink for a hot day. And the staff were nice!

It's Veterans Day. Just ordered a Fiesta grain bowl with fried chicken and I need to unload some…read morethoughts. The chicken was seasoned with some sort of magic, firstly. The greens added a little kick, the onions perfectly sliced; almost paper thin. The green chiles cut into little morsels add that Smokey bit we crave when we think of fiesta style foods. There were bits of queso fresco crumbled over the whole thing, giving that tang. Even the brown rice was treated with the utmost respect and has the most amazing flavor and hearty texture! Lastly, I'm sure someone back there made that citrus crema from scratch and I basically licked that little ramekin clean! Thank you, thank you! A stop anyone in Junction will not regret!

I could mention several criticisms of recent managerial decisions, but I'll just limit it to one. The "American Breakfast" has disappeared, replaced by an a la carte ordering model. I assume this reflects price creep and the reality that the market will not support a $20 counter-service breakfast (especially one that prompts for pre-tipping) when a comparable $12 option is available across the street at a full-service restaurant. Combined with long wait times and lukewarm food, caused by either amateurs in the kitchen or lackadaisical food delivery by the counter-staff, Cafe Sol has regretfully moved to my "occasionally OK" list.

In the…read moreend, what we got was okay-not really that good but was fine for the purpose of eating on the road. The menu has a fair amount of interesting options but knowing what I know now they probably sound more interesting than they taste. We grabbed the tuna melt & the turkey/hummus/avocado wrap. The former was, again, okay. I'm not entirely sure there was cheese on it and if there were it certainly wasn't giving "melt". The tuna itself I was happy to find there wasn't too much mayo, maybe the best part of the sandwich. And the filling was plentiful with a nicely toasted bread. The wrap felt like something I could've gotten in a rest stop for half the price and would not order again. We also grabbed potato salad which I would not advise doing again. The prices for the sandwiches are fine, but the prices for the drinks are astronomical. We ordered maybe ten minutes in advance and it was ready by the time we got there, which was nice because it seemed that the lunch rush had started and the one person behind the counter seemed a bit stressed by the influx of customers.

It is warm and pretty chill, exactly what I was looking for during my lunch break. I love sandwiches, but I usually order something I am familiar with before I try out house specials. I went with the Turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich, and I am glad I did. The sandwich was made to order and I had it in my hands pretty quickly. I sat down and ate half; it was good. The avocado was fresh, bacon was good, and the condiment ratio was just right. I took the rest to go, which I was happy about. Glad I had lunch here.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!…read more Anytime I'm in town, I ALWAYS stop in at least once everytime I pass through GJ. My go to is the Spicy Southwest Chicken sandwich, sometimes with a different choice of bread. I change up the soup or spud every other time I come in and usually satisfied with the choices. I've also tried the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch sandwich which is a close second to the Southwest. The service isn't always the best unfortunately, and as much as I love this place, that's what brings it down a star. But they do a good job of clearing off tables and keeping the whole place looking clean so I will give them that. Love this place and will definitely be returning the next time passing through.

It took almost 15 minutes just to place our order because the line was SO long, then another 30 minutes to finally get a table. After all that, we still had to wait around 20 more minutes for the food to actually come out. The staff didn't seem rude, just really exhausted and low-energy. The whole place felt stressful instead of welcoming, and there wasn't much pep or friendliness in the atmosphere at all. I think this place has lots of potential, and this might have just been busy workers during rush hour, but it really needs to be quicker, happier, and overall a more fun place to be. Right now, the experience just doesn't match the prices or the hype.

They had plenty of outside area (a patio with seating and some open space where you can enjoy a drink while waiting to find a seat somewhere) which was perfect for me because I got a cocktail and Togo food. Lots of people had raved about the Massaman katsu curry so I had to try it! It did not disappoint! At first I was disappointed to see how full the bowl was but the amount was PLENTY! I was stuffed after a few corn and about half the curry plate. I am so happy I tried this place out! Will definitely be trying it again when I'm back in town!

I also really appreciated that they had hard kombucha on tap, which was a unique and welcome option for me. I spent most of my time out on the outdoor patio, which is very nice and was filled with lots of people hanging out, making for a really lively and fun environment. However, my biggest complaint about this place was that the food was pretty bad; while I understand that it's primarily just a brewery, I was still quite disappointed by the quality, especially since the menu items were not cheap. Come for the beers, skip the food and same yourself some dough figuratively and literally.

The Swiss melt with fries. This was the best "grilled cheese" ever. The apples and bacon jam on it was absolutely delicious.

So much for knowing who you work for and what they stand for. I feel the upgrade has a nice concept yet it is lacking customer serivce and more staff. I could tell the staff was overworked with the amount of traffic flow. We came when there was a power outage. For the luck of grace it came back on shortly after we checked out. We also order ice cream in the way out and a milk shake. 1st we got a peanut chocolate milk shake that looked more like chocolate milk. Then they got the order wrong it had milk instead of almond milk. Asked for a refund and she said she redo it. I asked kindly to make it more thick. It did not come out anymore thick. She added too much liquid. Looked like the new hire wasn't properly trained in ratio content. Then they forgot to get our bear claw ice cream. We saw a tall lad that was not working and just overseeing the other staff struggle. So sad. As far as the young lady giving out peaches outside in the stand. She looked more like she was ready for the gym than being at work. I can tell you it was offensive to see her in tight leggings. I sure wife's don't appreciate their husbands have free eye candy at a moments turn. We will not be stopping here again. So sad because I would talk about the old little stand from back in the day to everyone and how wonderful it was to go after driving from Denver on the 70. It was a nice treat. Not anymore.
